  1. thank you Vagrant0 for clearing that up. I might remove McAfee and reinstall Norton, as Norton reports it all as safe (I checked late last night)
  2. McAfee on my system said it was a risk, so I went to McAfee web site and searched for black tree gaming and it took me to their site advisor, so I just posted the link to the McAfee site advisor
  3. I have Mcafee on my system and it reports "McAfee TrustedSource web reputation analysis found potential suspicious behavior on this site which may pose a security risk. Use with caution." about Blacktreegaming.com http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/blacktreegaming.com is this a false report? does Mcafee need to update? or is there a security risk with this site? Thank you for any update
  4. I have another question, and I might be blind if it is listed on the "terms of service" The FOTM, is there a time limit for a second vote? or is there only one time forever to vote? Thank you for any comments
  5. time zone I guess would be eastern US, not sure what the + or - would be to GMT
  6. Question/suggestion Is there a way to, or can it be put into the comment section of mods. Add a pinned comment from the modder. like for instance "Please make sure you read the full description/read me prior to asking questions or making comments" I have found myself explaining to people over and over again what is already on the description page and what is in the read me. On one mod I have 2 txt documents on my desktop and I just copy and paste them into a comment (have done this about 20 times so far) telling people who have a problem with a mod that they need to follow what the description page says (100% of the time this has fixed their problem) I realize that people will get exited about a mod and go straight to the download, but if they see a pinned comment, they might be reminded to read and it would fix the problem they were getting ready to comment about. Thank you for any suggestions
  7. a person I was walking through fixing an issue with a mod, he had done a thumbs down endorsement, after I walked him through the fix he tried several times to undo his thumbs down, and got the following error with IE 7. and Windows XP Pro Fatal error: Call to undefined function siterrror() in /home/tes/public_html/downloads/rate.php on line 34 I had him download Google Chrome and he changed his endorsement in Chrome, so looks like there are still problems with Internet Exploder
  8. Thank you HugePinBall for your support and editing posts, I really appreciate it
  9. ok his problem with the "Endorse" was fixed using Google Browser  , he was having the problem with IE. so issue closed, and officially Internet Exploder lives up to its name
  10. Thank you  He tried that, so it might be a problem with his browser, I told him to try Google Chrome, I will see if that helps, cause I use it
  11. Hello, does anyone know if you can change a negative endorsement? I don't give negative, I either give positive or move on, but a person gave a negative endorsement on a mod and pm'ed me asking how to change it to a positive. To be kind I am asking for him. He has tried to retry a negative endorsement but that gives him an error. I know you can remove a positive endorsement, but not sure about a negative. here is what the user sent me "I tried a couple times already and I get this error message Fatal error: Call to undefined function siterrror() in /home/tes/public_html/downloads/rate.php on line 34 any solutions" any suggestions? Thank you
  12. ok so basically, Admin are the cops, we are the informants, this is not a democracy, I guess you could call it a form of Martial Law. if we want to warn a person that something bad could happen if they continue, we should send them a PM and not post it, or just report it and let Admin handle the issues.
  13. Maybe some of the time they can, but my best friend lost his job, his girlfriend left him, his car died, and found out his mother was in ICU, all before noon, then made the mistake of posting and was banned for it, he doesn't play Oblivion anymore, but he had a really bad day.
  14. I would say that giving advice with a condition attached, isn't really advice, it is more of an ultimatum, and that to me is being a Vigilante :) now to say something like "You might want to take a look at this link, and judge for yourself if you are following the rules" might be ok, but will wait for an Admin to confirm. My whole reason for asking these questions, is not everyone reads the rules of posting or uploading, so might not be aware what they are doing is wrong (especially new people to TesNexus). so if we point them to the rules, then they have no reason, and should be reported. I believe everyone should get at least 1 chance. even people who should know better (everyone can have a bad day and post a comment that is not appropriate, then regret it later). I would also like to see the TesNexus Terms of Service somewhere on the front page, so people would have no reason not to see them at least 1 time, like maybe at the top of the page (but then again people don't read the description of mods and then complain about how it works), but at least it would be in plain site.
  15. ok I was not sure as the rules state what can happen to your acct, so that can seam as a vigilante. I will probably just post a link to the rules and tell them to read this
  16. I have a question, Is it ever acceptable to quote the rules to someone? or should everyone leave that job to the Moderators logged in as Moderators?
  17. thank you bben46 my reason for these questions is one person uploading, he/she has had 3 files in the past 5 days, and nothing uploaded. these are their first mods and I don't think they are aware that they need to upload content (pictures/files) in a reasonable time period. I don't want to try and play "moderator" as it is not my job, but I would like to let the person know they need to upload something or mark the mod as hidden, without getting them baned. mod reported Thank you Milohunts
  18. Thank you LadyMilla WOW. guess I didn't read the "WHOLE" site rules thought I did. Anyway, so there is nothing that says a time limit to uploading, just a "as soon as possible" and "mark as hidden" until it is ready so the 48 hour rule, is it an undocumented rule? I read LHammonds 48 hour report and was wondering if it was in the rules anywhere. If someone joins TexNexus and reads the Board Rules, then creates an upload, but has no files or pictures in the upload, 5 days later they could say "I am uploading it as soon as possible" is this correct? reason I ask is I am not comfortable reporting a mod that has no content (after 48 hours), without a rule to back it up.
  19. Are there Forum rules for uploading files? I know an upload that has no files or pictures can be reported after 48 hours, but are there a set of rules on uploading? like something that states that you need to have the mod ready to be uploaded when you create it on TesNexus I haven't found one yet and am wondering
  20. yup so has Firefox and Norton, bout time
  21. @streetstar5 Thank you for the suggestion, i now use Chrome for TesNexus, Firefox for browsing the internet, and still use IE for some of my sites because it works better for me. Only bad thing about Chrome, is it does not incorporate my security software (that is probably one of the things that makes it so fast), so I use IE for downloading because I like the way IE handles downloads and has all my security software in it, Firefox for searching the internet
  22. Thank you Dark One, IE works now, you are the Best. Amazing how slow IE is compared to Firefox and Chrome
  23. OK just switched to Google Chrome, and It fixed the problem, So it is obviously a problem with Internet Exploder living up to its name :p nice spell checker in Chrome also, will be very helpful for phat phinger typist like me :) Disregard my previous post, unless you just want to see if you can fix IE Chrome is a really really fast browser, looks like it lacks allot of the security features I am used to having and depending on, might try Firefox as well and see if it has additional features I am used to. Or maybe use Chrome for posting here, and IE for downloading, will see which works better Just installed and tested Firefox ver 3.6, might use Firefox for all downloads and Chrome for the speed of browsing and posting, Chrome is amazingly fast

Error line 54 char 2 Error-could not get the display properly, invalid arguement code:0 I have no idea what all that means, but am hoping you do. does this mean I need to change a setting in Internet exploder? or is it a problem with the new adding comments I have tried the ctrl+f5 several times, it did not help Thank you for any assistance MiloHunts Report this EDIT PS, I have cleared my cache 2 times, removed Yahoo browser plugins, except for the browser protection, disabled messenger plugins.
