  1. Ive actually never considered making a house mod before. I always liked creating armor and weapons. However, vanilla skyrim assets are really good this time around and I will probably make a player home, at least for my own personal enjoyment^^. Perhaps there should be a competition to build the largest player home? I dont have a good computer so I would probably not be able to participate but it would be cool to see what pops up. And no, you (in general) cant cheat by claiming a city as your own and renovating it......Or can you 0_0! 5GBs of whiterun........:D. Add some trees, give everything a second story, change the colors, up the vendors' merchandise, add some more stores and houses. Hmmmmm. I wonder how I went from personal player home to massive city rebuilding? : Stay focused: 5GB player home. Of course, we would have to break out a wall or two for The Vampire Dante, since he apparently would feel cramped in my humble 5GB abode XD. -Natterforme
  2. Just think of it. The possibility of multipart 5GB downloads is upon us.^^ Complete texture replacements? Huge new landmasses? Giant armor and weapon packs? Ridiculously long quests and huge player houses? Probably. Imagine a 5GB player home. Can you? I know I can. :D. -Natterforme
  3. I already solved this problem^^. -Natterforme
  4. I am working on several projects. This is one of them: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/imageshare/images/2102930-1328507534.jpg -Natterforme
  5. Whenever I use tfc it doesnt freeze time. Maybe that is because I usually use tfc 0? -Natterforme
  6. The best thing to make this possible would be something that allows a limited degree of TCL command that has a spell duration and then swap out the walking animation with a levitation animation. You need a script that can allow for multi axis movement(up, down, left, right). -Natterforme
  7. Ok, so I am trying to take some high resolution screenshots that I hope to eventually turn into posters for my personal use. My problem right now is that I cant angle the camera right to get a really close image of my character and be able to use fighting moves. I want to take in action shots of my characters from multiple angles but I cant use the mouse to attack while using the TFC 0 console command and I cant get close full body shots of my character using the ANIMCAM console command. Does anyone know how to get moroe flexible camera angles while still being able to use attack commands? Or does the ANIMCAM command or the TFC command allow for noncentered camera angles through the use of other keys and I just dont know? I have looked pretty hard into this one and I would like to get started on more screenshots. Thanks in advance! -Natterforme

  9. I also dont like how items scale in the CK. If you select multiple objects, they all scale independently, instead of as a whole. This makes it impossible to scale up the size of multiple pieces simultaniously. -Natterforme
  10. I want to add some new atronach forge recipes but the forms are different from crafting and tempering forms so I dont know what to do. I also cant seem to find any tutorials. Can someone give me an assist? I could really use some help on this one^^. -Natterforme
  11. Ok, I have done the report from my end and have informed dubiousintent of the issue so that he is aware of what is going on. I know it is nothing major, but he might have a question or two^^. -Natterforme
  12. Hmmm that is odd. I was under the impression that moderators can see files set to hidden. Since I have access rights, if I do the report procedure as you described, will that allow you to fix the problem, or should I simply unhide the file? -Natterforme
  13. The Ninpou-_-Ninja_Arts mod file has a -001 comment problem. The author, dubiousintent, and I have been in contact for some weeks now on collaborating to both improve one of my mods, Classic Ninja outfit, and his mod, mentioned above, which will incorporate my outfit into a quest he is working on. Since he is new to the modding community, I decided to bring up this problem for him since he is unlikely to have had to deal with it in the past. The file is currently set to hidden until he can get the quest together but he uploaded the base files for my benefit as well as for the authors of the collaborative effort. I know it is probably odd to have someone other than the mod author mention the -001 comment problem but I just wanted to get it fixed for him^^. -Natterforme
  14. Well, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that I could not figure out the problem and the texture did not have an alpha channel to mess around with and the texture did not have a _d disfuse map file either. The good news is that I have become rather proficent at navigating photoshop textures so I have begun work on remaking the textures from scratch. The tests that I have run with priliminary colors do not have the peppered holing and actually look slightly better I think than the original retextures. Hopefully I can get that squared away quickly without any new surprises. Moving on to my other problem, do you guys know how to make the skin appear properly without the black look that doesnt make the body disappear? I am really close to finishing the meshes on this armor set so I really want to get these sort of things taken care of quickly. Thank you! -Natterforme
  15. It should be. But in case it isnt, here is a closer look: http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/images/14240-1-1333556082.jpg You can clearly see through the mesh and it is filled with holes in Nifskope. To be clear this is a texture problem. The mesh is solid. On another note. I am having problems adding new gloves that use the DB mage glove as a base with male hands. The hands are black and the gloves hide the outfit(in image the outfit and the gloves are equipped but it does not cause a CTD). The glove mesh appears fine though and both meshes, the hands and the gloves are weighted correcty( they dont stretch in a weird way and they move with the body properly). I am guessing that this has something to do with the fact that it is skin but I dont know what to do to make it work properly. Any tips on this end? If I can get this part squared away, I will have all of the pieces prepared and I can begin branching out into the Orc and beast races, as well as the female version. After that my mod will be ready for publishing( since I have had some testing done to make sure that the items are craftable and work ingame). http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/images/14240-2-1333556084.jpg I would also like to add a glow map to parts of the textures as well so if I could get some advice on how to go about that that would be great too^^. Thanks in advance! -Natterforme
  16. Ok. I found out that I could remove the extra shiny look simply by using default normal maps provided with the vanilla game. It removed a lot of my problems but has several drawbacks. This will be useful for textures where only colors are changed but will not be very useful for completely new textures or heavily altered textures. I am not really sure how to go about on this one. The good news is that it has been narrowed down to a normal map issue, or, at least, this is my current impression at the moment. The holes in the texture map are still a problem though and make the texture look like swiss cheese. I think this has something to do with the texture being mostly black but I dont know why it is doing this. Can anyone help with this problem please? -Natterforme
  17. Will begin testing..... Can anyone help me on the holing that is happening through the texture? Its as if someone took a shotgun to my mesh but I know it is a texture problem. And thanks Korodic^^. -Natterforme
  18. Ok, so I am in the beta stage of my Daedric Mage armor release and I have run into a snag with the textures. The textures are too glossy and give off the appearance of being made of plastic. The light also reflects too severly off of the meshes that have custome retextures. I am using the stock vanill high rez textures as a base for my retextures. I dont know why this could be happening, since I am not doing anything special in photoshop. The texture is also peppered with holes which you can see through even though the mesh is solid in every way. I thought it might have something to do with an alpha property but some of the affected meshes dont use alpha properties. If someone could give me some advice on what are considered good or 'safe' settings for photoshop texture files, I would be really greatful. I know it is probably a settings issue but I just dont have the experience to know what it is. Here are some images of my problem: http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/images/14240-1-1333421567.jpg http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/images/14240-2-1333421568.jpg http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/images/14240-3-1333421569.jpg
  19. Thats weird, I thought there was only a TES Nexus beta and not a Skyrim Nexus beta. If these downloads are coming from links on other channels on other websites, it would be nice to find out where we are getting noticed on^^. -Natterforme
  20. That one can be explained. The downloads data updates every ten minutes or twenty minutes I believe. That means that the data you see does not necessarily reflect your download count. In about 10-20 minutes you should start seeing something. Now if you suddenly had 2000+ downloads and only 5k views then that might be off  . -Natterforme
  21. @throttlekitty- This is always possible^^. But, again, this does not seem to be an isolated event. Hopefully a moderator can shed some light on this issue^^. -Natterforme
  22. It is interesting to see that it is not only me. I noticed yesterday that some of the newer uploaded files also jumped in downloads within a short time. It would be nice if we actually got more mod notice and recognition very quickly and no offense intended to any modder that this has happened to, but given the history of how mod downloads tend to work on the Nexus, this does not usually happen. Sure, some modders like Hentai might have enough face recognition to get a couple thousand downloads in the first day or so but this is usually not the case. I think we would be very interested to find the source of this rapid download increase. That is, of course, if the downloads can not be traced to a legimate cause. Thank you to any Moderators who are currently looking in to this inquiry^^. -Natterforme
  23. You can use blender 2.49b to get new files into skyrim by tricking the game into thinking a fallout 3 file is a vanilla skyrim file. I and several other modders have done it but it is a long and tedious process. Neither blender nor nifskope have gotten the necessary updates to streamline the process of importing and exporting custom meshes( thats why I havent released any of my own material yet^^) but there are some tutorials for some basic stuff to get you started. This is a good starter tutorial( its the only one really) on getting things in and out of blender properly. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3790&navtag=file/images.php?id=3790&tab=3 This is a good body resource for creating custom meshes and armor mashups. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=13648&navtag=file/images.php?id=13648&tab=3 Good luck! The hardest part of this process is the bone weighting of armor and clothing objects. I would suggest that you try making a custom weapon first, since it is much easier. Once you can get the handle on changing properties and stuff around, you can try to work with more advanced ideas. Hopefully we will get some update sooner rather than later and we can skip most of this process. Keep using 2.49b anyway. It is more stable than 2.62 and the new version doesnt have the scripts or file extentions of the older, more stable version. Hope this helps! -Natterforme
  24. Hello, this is a question directed at a moderator in particular. I have one viewable mod at this time, the Sky Haven Temple Restoration Project. Yesterday, I had 996 total downloads. Today when I checked my pages status it had jumped up to 1,956 downloads. The weird thing is that there are no new comments or new endorsements and I dont think that there are many more page views. I know it is not uncommon to have a low amount of endorsements or comments on a mod but this seems rather odd to me in this case. I just want a moderators opinion on why this has happened and to find out if the number of downloads that I see represents the actual data. It would be great if I got an extra thousand downloads during my day off but I am skeptical. If it turns out that the data is not being accurately reflected on the page, I would like to see it corrected if possible, even if it would show a lower amount of downloads. Better to have accurate data than lie to myself. Hopefully it is not a bug in the system^^. Thanks in advance! -Natterforme
