We have reverted back to the old UI temporarily today while we benchmark some potential performance issues. The new UI will be back soon.

That's really not necessary. Keep it and scrap that new UI, no one wants it.

I actually prefer the new UI over the old one.

small changes can make a huge difference. last few weeks have been the first time, i got notifications if someone commented any of my mods, or posted a picture etc. so yea it was a huge improvement and pretty convenient. no need to go through all my files once a week, to check for comments and such.

Second that

Well, as long as you are poking at it... On most games mod pages, the numbers on the tabs (Description, Files, Images, etc) are just as legible as the other items with colored backgrounds, but for some reason, on Skyrim special Edition (on the new UI, but not on the old one), the color behind the numbers is lighter then the color behind things on the rest of the colored bits, and with white text, it makes it incredibly difficult to read the numbers. Just setting the background color on the numbers on those tabs to the same as on the rest of the page, as is the case for other games, should solve the problem. The contrast just wasn't enough to see clearly.

It looks like the background color on the numbers on the tabs was reverted to a very old version, as you had that contrast problem on SE when what is now the old UI first came out, but it was eventually fixed.

Like all old people, they don't like change. It's the way we have always evolved. It's a good thing and thank you for the new UI.

Lol, that's called prejudice, "kiddo". Not all "old" people dislike change, smartphones and tablets make a fortune on "old-timers" ;). And there is an impressive number of newcomers who resisted the new UI too - just more bluntly than their "elders" is the only difference. Accepting blindly all that is labeled as "new" or rejecting it "en masse" are just the two bookends of poor thinking.
I'm over 60 and I learnt 3D, coding, animating - I can still adapt (I think). I really don't mind the new UI, for the most part it's only cosmetic anyway - but it obviously leaves quite a few features to be tidied up. Working in advertising, I highly value users and customers' opinions. And if you read the comments down here, you'll see that old-timers and newcomers have a lot in common I think: they all like logics, consistency and common sense. Timeless values ;).

I agree, it would also be nice to have the thumbnail images back for the notifications. That really helped identify things at a glance.

Yeah, I could live without the ageism, thanks. Particularly as I really doubt you know the age of every poster on here who was giving an opinion one way or the other. There are aspects of the new UI I like better, and there are aspect in which it would be improved by being more similar to the old UI, in my opinion. (Like having small thumbnails in the notifications list.) I always try to give specific reasons for my opinions. Things are not always better because they are new. Nor are they always worse because they are new. As Hoamaii said, logic, consistency, and common sense tend to drive my opinions. Edited by Eolhin

Hoamaii wrote: Hey guys, I've been working all day on a new mod's description page but haven't published anything yet because I still need to make some changes and upload some files - so my mod is still hidden.

But how the hell do you access a hidden mod from your profile (or from anywhere else in the new UI for that matter)?!..

What's even worse, half my mods don't appear in my profile any longer!.. (Chrome and Firefox). That may be a momentary glitch if you're working on the UI - but please, pretty please, can anyone tell me how to access my damn fracking hidden new mod?

Thanks!

PS. By the way, your new navigation bar up there does not respond AT ALL from this page (it does from the main page though) - but shouldn't it respond anywhere on the website?..

Okay, found it - was a bit of a treasure hunt though!.. If anybody has the same issue, you'll need to click on "Mods" then go to "My Mods" on the right handside of the dropdown menu, that'll load your mods management main page.

I see 3 issues here if I may:
- Faded white font on a grey background is not exactly the best choice for readability.
- Poor naming really, the old "manage my mods" was way clearer.
- Questionable placement: now that everything related to our accounts and profiles has been moved to the right side of the header menu, it'd only be logical that we can access and manage all our mods, including the hidden ones, directly from our profile.

Yeah, I have to agree with that. The organization for finding and managing our mods is a bit clunky and counter-intuitive, and lacking in sufficient contrast. I too had to hunt around a lot before I could find the mod management page. All things that could be fixed easily enough. They could leave a link where it is, and just add access from your profile page as well.
