  1. Would it be possible to make one? I have an idea but i dont know if it would work.

     

    my idea was like just a small round object on the wrist, but when blocking it projects a ward (that still blocks melee and arrow attacks, along with magic) that is Blue entirely in tint, but without all the wavy parts around the edge, but big enough to cover most of the body.

     

    if someone could make this, that would be awesome, but i cant, i have no modding experience whatsoever xD

     

    Sounds like the Spellbreaker shield, only with a smaller shield mesh and ward effect.

     

    So my guess is that it can be done. Although i personally wouldn't know how to :unsure:

  2. Was wondering if it is possible to make a mod that removes the red/green/blue hues that surround a weapon once its enchanted. I like enchanted weapons and I can live with the sound when it is unsheathed but I would like to display my weapons and view them in without the color effect

  3. Skyrim needs more ranged weapons other then bows. I would like to see a crossbow or rifles, any sort of ranged weapon other then bows!!

     

    I thought that there's already a few flintlock pistols floating around..

    Also had a quick peek at your mod, which seems promising!

    But i'm afraid i can't offer you any services as i'm already part of a large total conversion, a weapons resource and suffer from a massive lack of time, which is keeping me from doing anything really serious :(

  5. Sounds fun, although this does make me wonder how to solve the animations...

    There's probably a few options: New animations (i pitty the fool who will do this. But he does deserve tons of kudos if he pulls it off.). Or using the staff animations (just like the flintlock pistols that are floating around. but would look a bit odd imho.)

     

    But i do how some cracks this issue :)

    That sword looks rather decent. I could probably model and texture it. Adding it to the game however, is something im not that skilled at.

    Still, i could give it a shot. So if this request hasent expired yet, let me know. :)

  7. I must say that this seems to be one of the most detailed and impressive mods i've seen so far!

    Truly a superb sense for detail.

    (although the mace at his side does look tiny ;)

    Thanks for the hint :) But i managed to make it a standalone weapon, only thing left to do is to add it to a vendor.. which is where i'm stuck at right now :(

     

    (screeny is made with the weapon as a replacer. Just for testing purposes ;) )

    btw Urwy, i apologize for not thanking you for taking the time to make Kubikiri for us sooner, I kinda got carried away adding new stuff to the topic xD i have a tendency to get a little carried away, as you can probably tell from the sudden influx of data for the rest of the blades. i should probably curb that, before i end up trying to get all of the Naruto-verse in there lol

     

    It's okay. I was having a nap anyway. :P

    I'll see if i can get the blade properly textured and put it ingame. Probably as a buyable weapon, since i (shamefully) havent used the CK that much yet..

    i *might* have a look at the other blades, but i'm not promising anything. Since it sort of depends on the mood im in :P

  10. Not quite happy with the textures yet, specifically, the specular maps.

    I'll have another look at those in the morning, as i'm falling apart over here..

  11. have you baked the normals and applied the normal map for low vertex model to see how the normals bake? i suggest you do that. possible trouble points are where the model has near 90degree angles.

    Anyways, pretty nice work. the tip of the blade seems pretty blunt tho..

     

    Not yet. Pc i struggling with the high poly model :/ Poor thing :P

    But your right about the tip, will adjust it to be a bit more pointier :)

    1350 verts... And texturing it will be a piece of cake since it unwraps beautifully! :D

    Btw, Draco, How do i prevent the Subsurf modifier from rounding off edges? since it smooths the edge between the blade and the guard, creating a hole :/

    I'd like to sculpt it, but cant when subsurf destroys my model >.>

  13. Urwy,that pic looks great. You could of kept the seam in the blade-guard! I wanted to learn how to add weapons tonight, i was gonna practice with that one :P

    That i've scrapped them doesn't mean i completely deleted all the work i did on it :) Need a link for the file? Lemme know, i'll have it up asap.

  14. That's because it IS seamless :tongue: still struggling with getting the transition from guard to blade seamless :(

    Scrapping every bit of texture i got for it atm...

    bloody thing just wont do as its told >.>

    Not sure if i want to do it again any time soon.. Gotta lose my grudge against it first.

  15. Awesome textures Urwy, I'm going to try and texture my Brisingr sword, its pretty much mostly a blue metal with a black handle, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

    Btw, i've been tinkering with your Skular'Andlat model. I can probably texture it somewhere today if all goes well :) any hints for the materials its made of?

     

    And:

    redid the Blade texture on draco's model.. Tell me what you guys think of it :)

    May i ask you to consider joining our mod team?

    We're recreating the world of Alagaesia (from the movie Eragon and the Inheritance Novel series.) as a total conversion for skyrim.

    Our goal is to scrap the entire world of skyrim and replace it with Alageasia. This includes:

     

    - Quests

    - NPC's

    - Items (weapons, armor and the like)

    - Complete redesign of the magic system

    - Rebuilt world
