  1. Sounds like "Daedric mail". Could you retexture Nightingale armor, and give it heavy armor stats?? Ebony ingots for upgrades.
  2. There is Ulfrics gag already in the game. You could probably use that. Color it black if you wanted. Adding it to leveled lists for bandits.
  3. Maybe it is part of a new Forsworn camp? They found the bones, and made a home / shrine out of it. It would have an enchanting table and alchemy table nearby, or in it. Same with the smithing tools. So you'd have to kill them in order to claim Castle Dragon Skull for yourself. Maybe it is very plain inside. Maybe not even a loading screen to get inside but there's a bed there and a chest that does not respawn. Maybe a ramp for a ladder up that you could open and close so that enemies can't get up at you. A leather roof protects you from the elements
  4. The Temple of Dibella in Markarth - seems to me like the priestesses should be wearing a more attractive outfit than the typical, drab, brown, monk robes. How about a mod that changes the outfit to something that is sexy but tasteful? I've always loved the outfit Princess Leia wore on the promotional posters for 1977's Star Wars. The low cut white dress, bare arms Maybe mod the Tavern Wench outfit? The silver belt could be a separate piece. link to Star Wars poster pic: http://www.impawards.com/1977/posters/star_wars_ver2_xlg.jpg
  5. Okay - I figured it out and thought I'd share. I'd been playing with the creation kit and increased my Unarmed damage to 100. I did not realize that the game sees "unarmed" as a weapon. so the enemy NPCs were actually attacking me with their weapon that had the highest base damage at 100. Their Unarmed. That is why they'd still use magic and arrows when at a distance. But not swords etc. Interestingly - when the NPCs were hitting me with their unarmed, it did not seem like it was doing 100 damage. My character has 600 health, so it should only have taken a few hits and I'd be dead. If you want to increase your own Unarmed damage, another way to do it is to give yourself the Khajit claws spell. And you can also mod that in the ckit.
  6. I tried a different dungeon tonight and it is the same thing. The Drauger have swords in their inventory, but they do not equip them when they attack. Any ideas?
  7. I had a similar issue in the past and it was because of my load order. Another time it was because some of the armor mods I had were for CBBE bodies and I have UNP installed. I use both SKSE and SKyUI - so I don't think that is it. You might try and update skse and skyUI, and maybe update your other drivers. - one time I was having CTD problems, but updating my sound card driver seemed to solve it. If you are using the new SkyUI and you have a lot of high resolution textures and a lot of items in one Preset, you may be hitting the 3mb (or 3GB??) limit. Does it CTD any time you equip any armor or clothing? Or only certain types? Or only sometimes?
  8. The NPCs I'm fighting clearly have weapons equiped. But when we start to fight, they unequip the weapon and come at me like we are in a brawl. I've not changed my mods or my load order in about a week. Everything was working fine. Yesterday I went around doing unarmed attacks on several Forts around Skyrim. Stealth Unarmed attacks so I could watch the kill cam. I noticed that some of the stormcloaks would put away their sword and fight me hand to hand. I thought it was a cool touch. Nord fighters fighting man to man. Unarmed combat. But some would still shoot arrows at me. Then today, I'm dungeon diving and all the drauger put their sword or ax away and try to punch me. Lydia is now doing it too. Even though she has the same sword she's always had. So what the heck should I do?? Has anyone ever heard of this bug before? And could it be triggered because I did a lot of unarmed fighting yesterday?? Thanks! LTK
  9. update: So I've kept my doppleganger alive because it is kinda cool to have a twin sister in the game, and the extra gold rewards are nice. Then, tonight a received a quest from Horgeir in Dragon's Bridge. The couriers note just said something like "I know you don't mind violence, so I need you to assault someone for me." And who does he want me to go after? That is right, my twin sister. Okay, no problem. Just attack her but don't killer her. However, I forgot that I'd been messing around with the creation kit, and I'd given my Nord character the Khajit claws spell. So that plus an unarmed enchantment on my ring and gloves, and I end up one shot - kill camming my twin sister. Which then triggers a "Rejoining the College" quest. Now I have to go find Tolfdir - because I think I just killed the newly appointed Arch Mage of the school. Not sure if game is very intricate, or I'm just making my life more difficult than it needs to be.
  10. Perfect. Thanks for your answers guys! And thank you LarryRathburn for the extra info and advice!
  11. Holy cow that is awesome!!! I can not wait to kill a drauger named MumRa with that sword. Truly incredible!
  12. That would be cool! Have Lydia holding on to me as we gallop across the country side. Bonus points if she can shoot arrows while I ride. Like my gunner!
  13. Cool idea. Like Bullock to Indiana Jones. Maybe have it link to some of the recurring quests at the mages college like Shalidor's insights. Everytime you go in and grab the scroll he shows up, stabs you from behind with a dagger of paralysis, and steals it. Or maybe he knows ice form shout.
  14. I'm trying to make a dungeon / cave quest mod. I have a werewolf in the dungeon - but I want him to stay on the other side of a metal bar gate. So he can scare the player, but not attack them. Problem is that he keep clipping through the gate into the player area. How do I keep doggy on a leash? is there a way to up up an electric fence? Question #2 How do I keep my dungeon dark? I want the player to have to use the torch. But right now, my dungeon is bright enough from ambient light that you can see with out a torch. Question #3 Is there a way to make the "Big gray box" black? This is my first time making a creation kit level. I've noticed that I have several areas where there are seems in my dungeon hallway, and you can see the gray area outside the level. Is there a way to make that default to black? Thanks!! LTK
  15. I just played through the Helgen Reborn mad quest, and had the same thing happened again. This time my twin sister rewarded me for destroying some Thalmor soldiers!
  16. What about using the Ring slot on the hand? There is also a mod for Left hand rings. You could look to see how they specified that one.
  17. I am having the same problem with a mod I am working on. Is there a way to set a fire using a torch?
  18. It would also be cool to add some of those effects to the skeevers.
  19. I love this idea and i tried making it last night - and failed. the bound weapons are all Weapons. And the creation kit sees them differently than the "clutter Items" like the torch and lockpicks and wooden bowls. So I think what we need is some sort of a script that uses the "Player.AddItem A 1" command. There is a Transmute spell that can change silver ore to gold. so it must have some sort of a script command to add an item to the player inventory. We'd just need to mod that to add a lockpick instead of gold. And remove the conditions like "must have ore in inventory."
  20. And is there a way to position a dead body? I want to place a dead NPC face up in a hallway, or maybe slumped against a wall. Put when I position the NPC in the creation kit, I can only make them stand upright. And then when I load the cell - the NPC is always face down. Thanks!
  21. I just played that quest too and I thought that it seemed a bit incomplete. It was like your options were to help out looser group A or looser group B. I sided with the Nords, and then had to kill the woman after she got denied the blessing. That was just a side quest. But it was Waaaay over on the side.
  22. I want to make your basic "Go rescue the princess in the castle" type of quest. I've got my "Bad guy base Detention area" all set. But then I put the princess in the jail cell, fire up Skyrim and by the time I get there, she is already walking out of the building on her own. Dammit! I can't rescue you if you save yourself! How do I get an NPC to stay put? I'd like it to start out like the Dark Brotherhood captives in the Abandoned Shack. With the bound wrists and executioner's hood, in a jail cell. Then when I heroically come through the door, I can pick the lock, and free her, give her a sword, and then we both fight our way out. Can anyone point me to the right link or tutorial so I can make my quest so i feel like a big hero?? Thanks! LTK
  23. I'd like to see a quest where you meet a new follower or two. Maybe you can pick from 2 or three characters, and each has their strengths or weaknesses - but each has a personality and can offer you valuable information along the quest. You'd bond with this character and care about them like Alyx in Half Life or other great followers. Then at some point in the story, you'd get captured, and separated from this character and your other follower like Lydia. You'd have to rescue them - but you'd be stripped of your gear as well. So you'd have to escape the dungeon starting out with nothing, and then collecting quest specific gear along the way. Like a torch to light the darkness... So the first thing that needs to happen is a spell tomb for a bound lockpick.
  24. I've been using this one. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33524//? and I equip her with a pick ax and a bow to keep her as lore friendly as I can.
