one of the recent worst moments i had was the time i fast traveled to some landmark near oasis. i found my run-into-the-middle-of-everything-blow-stuff-up character in the middle of 8 albino radscorpions. i quickly popped some psycho, med-x, yao gui meat, whipped out the gatling laser, and back stepped like never before. by the time i had killed all of them, my health was at less than 25%. i blew the stimpaks i had left from that encounter. to make matters even worse, i have a real life fear of scorpions. i still have a not so fond memory of the time when i was 4 and had gotten stung by an albino scorpion. i hate scorpions with a burning passion!

i retract my previous location and substitute it with your suggestion of detroit! i'd like ghouls to be playable from the get-go, or a way to become one if you become exposed to too much radiation and fail to take the measures in ridding yourself of it. let it be a drawn out process rather than instant or a little bit quicker than doing it instantly.

i see this is an old thread. i'll respond anyway. i apologize for the thread necromancy. i still haven't found a mod that takes care of the karma issue. please, somebody make a mod that gets rid of the asinine positive gain in karma. the way things are going, i think there should have been some type of an achievement for making it through to certain levels with bad karma.

well, there's the dugway proving grounds where the army and air force share a base in dugway, utah. its mission dabbles in biological/chemical weapons as well as other things. pre-9/11, it was pretty accessible to the public. it's not that way anymore.

i absolutely get a kick out of tabitha at black mountain radio.

i have a fear of scorpions and failure, or not living up to the expectations i have set for myself.

i once had it appear in old olney, near the nuka cola truck with its undelivered shipment of nuka cola quantum.

alaska, toronto, vancouver, or victoria b.c., chicago, seattle, portland, new york city, china, or denver.

i chose another country. that country being canada. i think having it set somewhere around either vancouver, victoria, b.c., toronto, ontario, or montreal, quebec would be pretty neat.

i'm still wondering what this perk does. i'm on my first play through and chose it because i was curious as to what it could or will bring during my adventures. i've had the same encounters as you. i don't think they have anything to do with the wild west perk. :confused:
