  1. The nearest I'm aware of is one which adds extra beds for companions to various inns, but as I run companionless myself I don't have a link, sorry.
  2. Kiitan - I had the same thought ages back. This was what I did...

The flat-chested bit is reasonably easy with Drake's mod - just use the AA/A cup HGEC body. You also need the AA/A cup stock clothing/armor stuff, and would need AA/A cup versions of any custom armor you use.

Nipple removal would probably take a bit of texture tweaking. Creating "flat chested" variants of the other body meshes would probably be quite a bit of work though, as you'd also need to originate "flat" chest armour/clothing.

If you pm me your e-mail address, I can e-mail you a "nude chest" shot of my female Argonian character "Walks on tiptoe" - I have to censor the one for Drakes forum page in case someone got stroppy. The nipples are still there of course, but don't show badly.

  3. In that case I'll stick to sending you salads with an extra-virgin olive oil dressing :)

...and I'll leave you to liase directly with Razorpony to sort the scripting out. If it's as good as the Argonian Beautification/Scripted Feet, then it'll be great - if it's "improved" then it'll be stunning.

  4. Hi theNiceOne,

Would it be possible to add an "export/import settings" to your mod, so that you could have a standard config file saved someplace, and use that rather than having to start with a savegame, and then play around with the character generation to get the character you want?

  5. A possible alternative to The GIMP is paint.NET, which handles dds files perfectly. There is also a plugin for Photoshop if you are feeling rich.

If you have it. 3dsMAX is useful for animating, but by then you're into professional level tools.

  6. The problem is the same as with porting any other content from earlier games, the End User License Agreement to which you agreed when you installed the game specifically prohibits taking stuff out of one game and sticking it into another. That's why you can't just use the original meshes and textures to create Morrowind using the Oblivion engine - you have to make EVERYTHING from scratch.

So even if such a mod exists, it cannot be hosted here and advertising it would get you banned.

  7. Current status

I believe that Razorpony is close to an alpha test version of the Khajiit feet for a HGEC female body and (possibly) Roberts male body.

Once tested, then mesh conversion to other body types is still needed, plus (ideally) integration into a master mod with Drake's Argonian alterations, so that you can install the race(s) you want with the body type(s) you want, and the correct clothing mods for the stock clothing.

Quick summary of other work which has been mentioned, but is not (as yet) part of the main mod concept.

There's some mention of alternate hands for Khajiits - not sure where that has taken us yet. And there's a small (very small) set of comments about Khajiit heads, where people have seen the Skyrim trailers. This MAY lead to a future expansion with an alternate head mesh.

The Centaur race is separate, but as some of the techniques and discussion were very much overlapping we've welcomed the presence of da mage and Semtex and others here - and maybe we'll create a standard template for future automated race body-part-and-clothing/armour replacement mods.

If you aim big, apparently (with these hard-working people) you get what you aim for - maybe even more.

  8. That makes a lot of sense from a realism point of view. I suggest that the trainees ought to belong to a faction you are part of - so unless you are part of the Fighter's Guild, you wouldn't get anyone after fighting training, etc. Maybe a noticeboard or something for the prospective trainees to post their need for training on, so you go to them rather than vice versa? Probably mucks up less of the existing AI that way.
  9. One side effect you may not have considered - you may need to have multiple forms for each ingredient, depending on which process(es) it has been through. For example, take Ginger:-

It could end up as : Puréed, dried, ground, distilled, burned, concentrated, and probably several other variants I've not yet thought of, depending which items you use and in which order.

Various forms could be useful, others might enhance the wrong effects from the ingredient, so some careful thought might be needed to decide how best to use/combine/modify each ingredient - with the possibility of vastly enhanced potions OR fatal ones, if you get something wrong.

  10. I like the way you think! It always seemed odd to me that you had these bits of gear, but no idea what they were doing other than "making your potions better".

You might want to (optionally) make it a "recipe development" mod for alchemy, as once you've created the recipe, you could spend an AWFUL lot of screen time having to do every stage of a multi-stage brew, which makes no sense at the accelerated timescale of the game. Instead, you should be able to repeat the same recipe, but have time auto-advance as if you had spent all the time preparing everything (like it does when resting). Of course, if you want to spend the time doing the whole thing, it should be possible to disable the "use a previous recipe" bit.

What effect would you expect better grade equipment to have on the potions? Finer grind with a Master-level Mortar and Pestle? Less unprocessed impurities in the ash because it burns better in a Master-level calcinator?

Sadly, I'm not a modder, but I really like things which add to the realism, and this looks like it should :)

  11. I have got back into Morrowind recently because it's awesome, and now I want to talk about things I miss in Oblivion.

    1.

    2. Separate bodies for races were entirely possible (just difficult and not supported by the majority of clothes mods).

    3.

    4.

    5.

#2 is on its way - Razorpony, DrakeTheDragon and others are producing an alpha test for the Khajiit race (WITH) "proper" feet, which should allow any body mod to be used for that race. Drake has already managed a mod for Argonians (again, WITH 'proper' feet) - see his Argonian Beautification and Scripted Argonian Feet mods, and there should be no good reason why this cannot be expanded to the other races. You will, of course, need the correct clothing replacer for each race, but that just takes time and disc space (plus converting non-stock items if not alrerady done)

  12. actually, you might want to have the Priest as a quest giver and add multiple quests, as he's almost certain to have an idea of all the local problems - from rats in cellars to "unholy" monsters and even ghosts in the crypt. Start with one or two small quests, then build them up as you go with update releases.

"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. I have slaughtered countless bandits without warning." "Ahh, you may be JUST the person I need..."

In fact, "Forgive me, Father" would be a great name for the mod...

You might also want to read some of the Brother Cadfael novels by Ellis Peters - a 14th century detective monk. Might inspire more quest ideas.

  13. I suggest you have a look at the various amazon armor versions, as some of them are very similar. You might be able to take the top of one set, the bottom of another, and the boots from a third to make exactly what you want.
  14. Firstly, have you used BOSS to sort your load order?

Secondly, no evidence of Wrye Bash - with that little heap I'd expect to have to use Wrye Bash to merge mods a bit.

Thirdly - no unofficial patches installed, so you have a goodly number of potential bugs in the gams still to fix.

A lot of people have switched to Weather - All Natural over the other systems, because it's less buggy, but I don't recall any major crash issues.

Do you have Fast Exit and Windom Earle's Oblivion Crash Prevention System running? You should certainly try them if not.

  15. If you have a divorce-type quest, you could tune it so there are a good number of possible outcomes.

Firstly, why the divorce? Incompatibility / Adultery (on male part) / Adultery (on female part) / Abuse (probably by male on female) / annulment (on grounds of non-consumation), etc.

Secondly, which possible solution? In each case there's a morrally "better" solution, and there's an official (Catholic) solution, plus solutions which fail on both counts.

Thirdly, can you manage to pick the best moral solution and fool the church into thinking it was the best Catholic one (playing the system).

A thought on the non-consumation idea - maybe a couple are marrying to seal a bargain, and someone wants to disrupt it so has cast a spell of impotence on the guy. Only indirectly a Catholic quest, but ideally suited for the Church to be involved - if the marriage is not consummated the vows are null and void, and the Father Confessor is trying to get it sorted out - either for the good of the couple, or because the chirch stands to gain property - plenty of ways to play every scenario.
