  1. My idea is about the Diagram: Viper venomous silver sword which exists in the game files but cannot be obtained without the use of the console. So at first I was thinking about a mod that would add it to some merchants inventory. And I know that there are a few mods which add diagrams to Brams inventory for example. However, I would prefer something less game breaking as I only want that specific diagram. Then I remember that there is also the issue with the treasure hunt "A Dark Legacy" as to obtain it you first have to purchase the Count Romilly's figurine for 300 crowns and then dismantle it. However, a lot of people say that the rewards are hardly worth it, as they are really common stuff and likely worth less than the 300 crowns required to buy the figurine. So I'm thinking why not "Kill 2 birds with 1 stone" and have the Diagram: Viper venomous silver sword (or Diagram: Legendary Viper venomous silver sword on NG+) be found in the treasure chest of A Dark Legacy. I mean it's perfect as it's a HoS quest after all, and it would make those that wish to get the diagram and those that say the treasure hunt is unrewarding happy at the same time.
  2. I can't get the unofficial patches to work properly with GOTY Oblivion. For example Frostcrag Spire becomes invisible when I use it's DLC patch. It becomes normal when I disable it. The KotN unofficial patch causes the game to crash when starting the game unless I disable it. I downloaded the Oblivion Mod Menager and it detects conflicts with most of the patches and plug-ins. It never happened when I used a version of Oblivion where I had to install every plug-in in turn. So am I doing something wrong? Maybe GOTY requires some different versions of the patches?
  3. No wonder you are a staff member since you use common sense - I like you already. But truth is the whole stop dragon attacks thing is a waste of time because they keep respawning even after the main quest is done. So no matter how hard you try someone is gonna get killed sooner or later. I for that matter was once doing something else (a thieves guild quest I think) and from a distance I see a town get attacked even though I already defeated Alduin so I'm like "not agian!" Seriously its as if nothing changed, now I know they cant remove all the dragons in case we need more souls but after the main quest they could have made so that only the dragons that appear in the locations marked with a dragons head on the map respawn. This basically makes it look like we never stopped anything since the dragons just keep doing the same old stuff as always. Oh and the reason why bandits can be more dangerous at times is because when you are fighting a dragon its a fight of 1 vs 1 so its easy to dodge the attacks of one foe. But in case of bandits its rarely a 1 vs 1 fight usually its 1 vs 2 or more so its very hard to fight multiple opponents without getting hit in the process.
  4. That actually was the most unwise thing you could have said. If you offer me 3rd party mods to repair an issue then you only confirm what I said :wallbash: And this also proves that you dont understand what I said - I said that the dragons can only be considered powerful in Skyrim but in Morrowind and Oblivion they would be a laugh. More over if you offer me 3rd party mods it means you are unhappy with vanilla Skyrim. In Oblivion such a mod would be useless because all you have to do is move the difficulty slider to the right and presto instant insane difficulty. Your words remind me of cabaret I once saw in which a guy is trying to sell a car to another guy and the more they talk about the car it turns out that it has more and more parts missing or broken. Finally the buyer asks " does this car have anything that is whole?" and the salesman says "yes the ignition keys". So thats what Skyrim is then - a wreck with only the ignition keys intact. So yeah Bethesda cheated us all but hey no problem the 3rd party mods will repair everything and Bethesda will get full price with no extra effort.
  5. I think Bethesda is all out of ideas because there is nothing more corny and unoriginal than dragons in an RPG. Seriously there are so many RPG's with dragons already however when you are out of ideas just pull out the dragon card and hope for the best - wouldnt you agree? No of course not but question is why wont you agree? Well answer is simple - they are dragons! The truth is its a psychological matter - we all have been raised on fantasy stories about dragons, virgins and the gold they guard. And we always wanted to be the knight who slays the dragon and dragons are also related to martial arts which we all like to see in movies too. Hence when we hear the word dragon we instantly think of it as the peak of power. So now my question - would you really think so highly about Skyrim and Alduin if he and the other dragons were not dragons but something else like gargoyles or simply a new kind of winged daedra? The dragons wouldnt even be considered powerful in Morrowind or Oblivion. Well truth is they are more powerful than most enemies you encounter there but they suffer many flaws. First of all the fact they are so large makes them less mobile - if you decide to run into a cave the dragon cant follow you like regular sized foes. Another thing is that about 80% of their damage comes from their stinking breaths which deal either frost or fire damage in Oblivion and Morrowind you have many ways to protect yourself agianst those - resist fire/frost, frost/fire shield and resist magic of course (the last one is not in Morrowind). For example in Oblivion all you would need to do is wear the Flame ring and Frost ring which give 100% resistance to fire and frost damage respectively. Or another simple way would be to play a Breton and wear the Mundane ring which gives us 100% resist magic instantly. This is exactly the reason why resistance to magic is capped at 85% in Skyrim otherwise the dragons would be no challenge at all more over it would be the only effect worth using since all effects protecting agianst melee dont exist anymore except for shield (now renamed armor) but we cant use it for enchanting. In that situation only melee combat would remain but the dragons suck at that because they cant run up to you to bite you due to their bulk so it is you who must run up to them but should you decide to fight at range with spells or a bow they wouldnt be able to do anything. So the truth is they are only powerful due to our limited capabilities in Skyrim. If Skyrim was an expansion to Morrowind or Oblivion we would all be laughing at the dragons.
  6. I've been wondering why do these Thalmor a.k.a. 2nd Aldmeri Dominion hate Talos worship so much so I got the idea they could be another daerdric cult like the Mythic Dawn. I got the idea from one of the random rumors from Oblivion in which NPCs talk about how Daedra worship had become prominent in the Summerset Isles - their main base. So the obvious reason for their hate would be the fact that it was the blood of the Septims (Martin) that closed oblivion for good. Only question is which Daedric prince could they serve? What do you people think is that possible or not?
  7. Instead of answering this by which plot or which character is my favorite I'll answer it by pointing out what each character can really do. The Dovahkiin is the weakest in truth because he/she cannot become as powerful as the Nerevarine or the Champion of Cyrodiil because unlike them he/she cannot fully master all his/her skills (unless using cheats or mods) but also cannot use many powerful magical effects the other 2 could use. The Dovahkiin instead has shouts but those do not compensate the loss of the powerful effects like Resist Normal weapons or Reflect Spell etc. The Nerevarine and the Champion of Cyrodiil cannot use shouts however both can become nearly impossible to kill i.e. +100 Sanctuary + Royal Signet Ring (100% Reflect, 100% Resist Magicka, 100% Resist Paralysis, 10 Restore Health and 10 Restore Fatigue) - Nerevarine; 100% Resist Magic, 100% Resist Poison, 100% Resist Disease, 100% Resist Paralysis, 101% Reflect Damage and 85 Shield - Champion of Cyrodiil. In other words aside from falling or traps the only way to kill them with those effects are arrows in the case of the Champion or in the case of the Nerevarine enemies with high skill in a weapon or with high luck like Gaenor. However the Champion will only take 15% (7,5% if blocked with a shield) of the damage from the arrows while the Nerevarine will usually outheal the damage with the Restore Health effect. As for the Dovahkiins shouts they would have no effect on the Champion because of the 100% Resist Magic notice that Resist Magic/Fire/Frost DOES reduce damage caused by dragon breaths and since the dragon breaths and shout are the same thing then I bet you can guess the rest. The shouts could harm the Nerevarine as reflect would probably not work on them and Resist Magicka is not the same as Resist Magic as it doesnt protect against elemental effects i.e. fire, frost etc. however since they have a recharge time the Nerevarine would be back at full health long before the next shout could be used. The Dovahkiin at best can achieve 85% Resist Magic and only 80% vs melee so he cant become immune to neither magic nor weapons so the Champion and Nerevarine would have loads of fun with him/her. As for a potencial fight between the Champion and the Nerevarine it would most likely end in a draw as neither would be able to kill the other.
  8. Seriously is the thieves guild about stealing or about saving the world? So let me get this straight - we are suppose to stop a thief from stealing from other thieves and return the Skeleton Key to return luck to the world wtf? I mean if that were true then every time someone was rewarded the Skeleton Key in the previous games then the Ebonmere got closed and luck stopped flowing to the world? Thats sounds as if the bad things that happened in the previous games was our hero's fult because they were rewarded with the thing so tactically it was all their fult because the world had no luck now. I realise that Mercer stole it so it brought bad luck same as with Nocturnal's Cowl but this is just crazy. I was hoping the last mission will be some super heist like in Oblivion - breaking into the palace and all that and not some lame save the world scenario.
  9. I finally get it – I know why Skyrim feels like a half finished game. The reason is because Bethesda made a huge mistake in the leveling system – instead of making it simpler like many players wanted and they actually broke it. Originally there were suppose to be 24 skills not 18 – notice that some of the skills make no sense as to which category they belong like Archery which instead of being a stealth skill is a combat skill. Well Archery might be considered a combat skill by some; however I don’t think anyone will agree that Alchemy is a stealth skill instead of magic the only thing it has in common with stealth is the fact that a poison can be considered a hidden weapon. Originally Alchemy was suppose to be a magic skill however since there must be the same amount of skills in each category it couldn’t be removed and instead was set as a stealth skill while Marksmanship was renamed as Archery and moved to combat – note that if we use cheats to increase skills instead of Archery we have to type Marksmanship in the console. Else Alchemy would have to be moved to combat instead of stealth and that would be an obvious lie. But I said there were suppose to be 24 skills originally so I’ll show you which: Magic: - Alteration - Conjuration - Destruction - Restoration - Illusion - Mysticism - Enchanting - Alchemy Stealth: - Light Armor - Lockpicking - Pickpocket - Sneak - Marksmanship - Speechcraft - Mercantile - Acrobatics Combat: - Heavy Armor - Block - Smithing - One-handed - Two-handed - Hand to Hand - Athletics - Dual wield This is how I believe it was originally meant to be, but why wasn’t it then? Simple because of the perk points which we gain when we level up there isn’t enough of them – at most we can gain 80 while there are 251 perks to buy. And as we know each next level requires training much more skills so if there were 24 skills the gap between the points and available perks would be even larger. Skills have an average of 14 perks per skill so with 6 more skills it would be about 84 more perks while we would gain at most 10 more points by training those 6 skills. The final result would be 90 points while there would be 335 perks so Bethesda noticed it a bit too late and as that would require changing the scripts they decided to make the gap smaller instead of changing the scripts. And so they removed certain skills while others were merged with other – Dual wield was merged with One-handed and Mercantile was with Speechcraft and renamed as Speech. Note that One-handed has more perks than any other skill 21 in total, while the perks in Speech are more related to trade than actual persuading and also if we want to increase Speech using the console we have to type Speechcraft. However this caused even more problems as removing Mysticism was a very bad idea. While Mysticism is rarely used in actual spell casting this school has the most powerful effects – Reflect (spells only - Morrowind), Reflect Spell (Oblivion), Reflect Damage (Oblivion), Spell Absorption, Soul Trap and Dispel. So by removing that school they also had to remove its powerful effects, however without Soul Trap we wouldn’t be able to use Enchanting so they moved it to Conjuration. Still without the other effects we lost many methods of becoming invulnerable – while in Morrowind we don’t have Reflect Damage instead we have Sanctuary from Illusion. So Bethesda decided to give us a false idea that they don’t want us to be able to do it and removed Resist Normal Weapons too – despite the fact it still exists as Ghosts still have it. And made a gap in Resist Magic because of which we can achieve 85% at most, however Bretons as we know have natural 50% Resist Magic so they would be too close to the gap as a result their resistance was reduced to 25% but Bethesda forgot about their own loading screen hints - one of which clearly states that Bretons have 50%. Removing Dispel also caused problems because without it we can’t remove very dangerous magical effects we know from the previous games such as Silence and Chameleon hence they were removed as well. Of course we use 100% Chameleon for our characters but what I meant was that we use Dispel if our enemies use it to become invisible. The next issue that came with it is not being able to find very powerful artifacts – in Oblivion there are many powerful random artifacts we can find once we reach a certain level like: Mundane Ring, Ring of the Iron Fist, Sorcerer's Ring – all of which use effects from Mysticism so without it similar items couldn’t appear in Skyrim, which is why we cant find in random containers anything extraordinary. The lack of these effects also causes the fact that Skyrim is very unrewarding for example lets compare “No Stone Unturned” quest with “The Collector” from Oblivion. In “The Collector” there are only 10 Statues we have to find and we know that the only places they can be are Ayleid Ruins and actually if we really don’t want to look for them we can turn in 3 at most to move to the other 2 quests, more over after turning in the 2nd statue we are told the location of 5 ruins in which we can find the next statues. In “No Stone Unturned” however we have to find 24 gems which are not only easy to miss and we get no help on where to look for them but also the area of the search is the whole Skyrim. When we finish Secrets of the Ayleids we can no longer turn in the statues if we haven’t already but still we get the reward in the form of 2 Ayleid crowns – both with powerful effects on them. But after we finish “No Stone Unturned” all we get is an effect which makes us find gems more often which we have no real use for actually as merchants have limited gold so we cant even sell them – well it would make some sense if we could at least give them to our spouse as a gift but we cant. The next problem the lack of perk points caused is separating Enchanting from the magic schools meaning we have to disenchant items to gain the effects instead of simply having the same effects available as the spells we can use. As there is no guarantee that everyone who uses enchanting will be learning magic too. Also instead of being able to enchant anything with anything we want like in Oblivion and Morrowind (yes I know in Morrowind the power of the enchantment depends also on the type and quality of what we want to enchant) we can only enchant certain pieces of clothing/armor with certain effects – most likely so we don’t create too many Resist Fire/Frost/Shock/Magic items for ourselves. Another factor that supports this is the fact we can only wear 1 ring in Skyrim while in Oblivion and Morrowind we can 2 – unless of course we try to wear 2 same rings at same time like 2 Mundane rings but if the rings are created by us we can wear 2 even if exactly the same. And this caused in turn the whole Greaves and Cuirass merged together thing as the area we enchant has to be the same for clothing and armor; however I’m very curious how in real life we would put on an armor in which the Cuirass and Greaves are combined together or even worse how would we take it off? The shouts I think are also nothing more than a byproduct of this broken leveling system – since Resist Magic does effect them it means they are nothing more than spells which instead of using Magicka have a recharge time - why is that so? Simple since we cannot master all skills possible players who prefer melee combat would have a hard time killing the dragons without a bow and/or magic because they wouldn’t be able to fully master either even if they would want to hence the whole Dragonrend shout plotline. The lack of perk points is a major issue as even if we don’t want to learn certain skills we still have to do it if we want more of these points. The best proof of the facts it’s a big problem is the fact that despite the construction set has not been released yet there are already 3rd party mods that aim at that problem. In other words Bethesda made minimum effort in solving the games problems as all they did was delete a few things and expect the players using the construction set to solve them on their own – why waste money and time to fix something if there are others who will do it for free anyway? Now I personally never made a mod and probably never will but if I was one of the brilliant 3rd party modders I would feel cheated that I have to repair a game just because the creators were too cheap and lazy to do it themselves and get nothing out of it.
  10. The Nerevarine went to Akavir for some reason... isn't he/she immortal? Rather than dying in obscurity I think he/she just faded into it. As for the PC from Oblivion becoming Sheogorath... Yeah it's a bit weird my female character is now a strange old guy but it's still awesome. It's Sheogorath after all. :P Oh right forgot to mention that Daedric Princes dont have any gender really, they just take on male or female forms according to their own will so the Champion of Cyrodiil becoming Sheogorath makes sense regardles of your characters gender.
  11. Of course it is there is an old saying - "you cannot delay war you can only wait until your enemy grows stronger". So if Alduin will return then the main question is when? What if he will return in say 100 years thats not much of a delay now is it? And when he does return he will be smarter next time and will be much harder to beat without the Dovahkiin. If he cannot be destroyed for good then its a waste of time as you can keep trying and trying until eventually he will win. And as for your fight the Thalmor thing you forgot that they reside in the Summerset Isles not Skyrim so you would have to launch a campaign there. However how do you expect Skyrim to ever fight them if Skyrim alone has conflicts on its own teritory? Only if all the people are united will they be able to defeat them. You say racism is nothing bad ok then tell me if you were a Dunmer whos family has lived in Skyrim for generations and you never supported the Thalmor in the first place and now the natives want to kick you out nor would they care if you or your family are killed you think that would be right? More over the Thalmor obviously are powerful so after being weakened by the civil war you would need allies and who is gonna support you? Hammerfell perhaps would as the Redguards already defeated the Thalmor on their teritory albeit a great cost. But if their people living in Skyrim would be mistreated then the Redguards would say "To hell with you, you dont care about our people so we dont care about you!" If Skyrim were ruled by a righteous ruler only then can you count on support from the other provinces that oppose the Thalmor - enemy of your enemy is your friend.
  12. If you finish Shivering Isles you will already look like Sheogorath - at least to all the SI inhabitants. If you gave Una Armina the Sheogorath-Shaped Amber and take a tour she will say: "This right here is one of my favorites. A lump of amber in the shape of Lord Sheogorath's head! The wonders of nature never cease to amaze." But as soon as you finish SI and take a tour then she will say: "This right here is one of my favorites. A lump of amber in the shape of your head, my Lord! A very popular item, too, if I may be so bold." So as you can see our character already looks like Sheogorath only not to us nor anyone outside SI or else the game would have to end there. More over once you become Sheogorath everyone in SI immediately recognizes you as Sheogorath, the only one who seems to know you arent the original is Haskil however even he never questons your power or the fact that you are the new Madgod now. So you have to face it the Sheogorath in Skyrim is our Champion of Cyrodiil his words confirm it and notice he no longer has the trademark cane that Sheogorath always had and thats because it is destroyed durring the SI questline and later was rebuild as the Staff of Sheogorath. And the only reason the Champion doesnt seem to be mad yet is because we still control him so he is only as mad as we are but its obvious he is not the same person anymore as he now understands the insane i.e. Bolwing who normaly speeks gibberish.
  13. I dont know is it just me but the way I see it the Dovahkiin achieved nothing. What I mean is he did save the world from Alduin but even he himself questions whether or not for good as he did not absorb his soul so its possible he will be back. And if thats the case then he did no better than those 3 dragon hunters before him that used the elder scroll to send him to the future, so it was a waste of energy. This reminds me of the Knight of the Nine - the previous Divine Crusader couldnt defeat Umaril in both body and soul so he returned and it was up to the Champion of Cyrodiil to finish the job by becoming the new Divine Crusader who as we all know vanquished him for good. So in that story the Dovahkiin would be the previous Divine Crusader - he simply reset the timer on the bomb instead of defusing it so eventually it will go off anyway. And the fact the Dovahkiin can absorb dragon souls doesnt really change anything you head Esbern he said that the regular dragons can be killed like anything else as the Blades were once dragon hunters too. It would only make a real difference if he had absorbed Alduins soul and perhaps as a result become the harbringer of the end of the world him/herself - now that would be one hell of a plot twist eh? Another thing is the civil war - no matter which side you choose someone is going to be unhappy either way. Skyrim will be under the boot of a racist or religious fanatics i.e. all non-norn will be treated like dirt or Talos worship will be banned and since Tiber Septim a.k.a. Talos is considered a great hero by the Nords they and many other will be very displeased about it. So its obvious that whichever side won eventually there will be a new civil war in other words either a next Ulfric will appear or the non-nords will revolt agianst such tyranny. I dont know about you people but wouldnt it be better if there was a 3rd option only a much more difficult one of course - like becoming High King yourself? I know thats not possible but there could be for example a certain individual whom is a descendant of a previous High King who wants you to help him/her gain the throne. And that person would desire the freedom of Talos worship but would also frown on racism in Skyrim but at same time would not have support of the Empire nor Stormcloaks so the task would be more difficult however everyone in Skyrim would be happy once that person becomes High King. Only the empire would be unhappy as it would lose another province however the empire is crumbling anyway so it would only be speeding up the inevitable.
  14. Did aliens steal your brain? Because I think you had mistaken Skyrim with Oblivion in the first part about no unique items - indeed in Skyrim you cant find anything special (at least for now) but in Oblivion there are many powerful items you can find like these:- Amulet of Axes - Necklace of Swords - Mundane Ring - Ring of Perfection - Ring of the Iron Fist - Ring of Vitality - Sorcerer's Ring All of these are very powerful and very valuable items that you can find in random chests, of course you have to be a certain level before they begin to appear and being high end loot they are rare. However some of them can appear on quest related NPCs too for example Raven Camoran will carry a Mundane Ring on him if you are at least level 22.
  15. Well I wouldnt say that the code does work because I managed to marry Idgrod the Younger by using it. However as already mentioned here before you must also be on good terms with the potencial spouse - personaly I didnt have that problem with Idgrod because I already helped Morthal and did her request before. But of course there are NPC's that you still wont be able to marry and meddling with the NPCs codes too much may cause bugs.
  16. OK I dont like repeating myself but I'll make an exception - I posted this a few months ago when someone asked about daedric quests in Skyrim. The answer is inside the Museum of Oddities if you give Una Armina the Sheogorath shaped amber and ask for a tour she will say: "This right here is one of my favorites. A lump of amber in the shape of Lord Sheogorath's head! The wonders of nature never cease to amaze." But if you had finished the SI questline and became Sheogorath she will say: "This right here is one of my favorites. A lump of amber in the shape of your head, my Lord! A very popular item, too, if I may be so bold." Yes meaning that the Champion of Cyrodiil already looks like Sheogorath and as I said in my previous post it makes sense regardless of gender because daedric princess have no gender they only take on male or female forms according to their will. More over as soon as we imbune the staff everyone immediately recognizes the Champion as Sheogorath without questioning if he actualy is the real thing. The only one who seems to know that the current Sheogorath is really the Champion is Haskil but even he doesnt question his orders or power. The only reason we do not get uber powers at the level of a daedric prince is because this game has no real ending and we can still continue to play else we would be too powerful and even if there wasnt an actual ending we wouldnt be able to return to Cyrodiil because that would break the compacts that Haskil speaks of when we first enter. However we can assume that the Champion never returned to Cyrodiil after SI as that was his/her last adventure and eventualy as Jyggalag stated - grew to his station. So yes the Sheogorath in Skyrim is the Champion the things he says while we meet him confirm it and another proof that he is no longer the same Sheogorath is the fact he no longer has his trademark cane because during the SI storyline it lost its powers and we had to rebuild it as the Staff of Sheogorath.
  17. Well actually at level 40 you can already max all the attributes (including luck) unless you under leveled or didnt use the +15 for luck at the beginning.
  18. I think you should go play Gothic 3 Forsaken Bugs and stop making up stupidities. And what do you mean by god huh? Have you ever played Oblivion on max difficulty? Personaly I think not so I'll tell you that when you play on max difficulty even a rat has more power than you (at least at the very beginning). The reason I like these games is in fact because you can learn everything. If you want restrictions then it could be made so that you must have a certain level of mastery in certian skills before you can join a particular community i.e. magic skills to join the Mage's Guild; but not that you cant join it at all.
  19. Better graphic doesnt make the game personaly I dont care about it. Eventually we will return to Morrowind anyway, as soner or later if the series continues we will walk threw every part of Tamriel and eventually the games will take place in previous lands only in a much distant future so the places will probably be much different then what we will remember.
  20. Doesnt matter to me and to be honest I dont think it matters to anyone really, what I mean is we all have our favorite race but does that mean that its best to play in its homeland? You said your favorite race is Nord but does that mean you wouldnt play it anymore if the next game wasnt in Skyrim but instead in idk Elsweyr? No I think you would play it anyway. What we all truely want is for the game to bring us loads of fun while playing it no matter where it will take place.
  21. Thats the stupidest idea I heard so far you are forgetting that each game has a different leveling system and game mechanics so there would have to be scripts that would match all games at same time. Also each game takes at a different time so it would be like walking into the past. Even if it was made so that by going to a specific place or talking to some NPC which would simply make you start playing one of the previous games it would still be pointless I mean all that trouble just to not quit one game to play another instead? It wouldnt make much difference from simply having all games in the series installed at the same time and playing the one you feel like atm.
  22. Well thats nice I admit but this brings even more questions for example they said if you own a house your wife or husband will move in but what if your spouse owns a house or you both have one but his/her is better - can you move in then instead? Another thing is can it be anyone or only specific NPCs coz if anyone then I of course would prefer to aim really high and get married with the daughter of a rich nobleman. Next is the question can you only marry with someone from your own race or any you want? And a few other things like divorce, cheating and possible death of the spouse. Last comes getting married with someone of the same gender though that I doubt will happen - personally I wont even try.
  23. I think the real question is when will it get one and not will it get one.
  24. Ah of course there must be a topic about the most important thing in video games. I'm curious would any of you be even thinking about it if the only 3 races in Skyrim turned out to be Orcs, Khajiit and Argonians or maybe thats just what you are hoping for? Siriously if thats the only reason you want to play the game for then instead of buying the game go buy a porn movie or if it simply must be a game then buy one for adults. Oh jeez!
