  12. In response to post #75818953. thank you for being understanding and realizing that the password change request was the initial warning before nexus told the world to look for a way to hack into the site. you are clearly one of the good ones.

In response to post #75815913. #75817563, #75818673, #75818978, #75819648 are all replies on the same post. 1: you never pay anything but you are complaining that you should have info because you paid (flawed logic) 2: other websites you probably still use are known to have been hacked with the website knowing about it for years before they announced it; like facebook (and by extension all oauth sites), yahoo, github, and many others. it is not viable to inform until the data breach is fixed, because informing causes the issue to be worse. 3: premium users arent shaming non-premium users, they are saying "why complain about something that you get for free, with no obligation that takes others thousands of hours and costs thousands of dollars when they inform you that there are limitations that have been in place for the last 12 years for unpaid members" 4: you can use mod organizer, kortex, wrye bash, nmm, or any other. they just brand download with manager buttons with vortex because they make vortex, not because you have to use vortex.

In response to post #67632416. #67634251, #67635721, #67635836, #67636566 are all replies on the same post. as Kerber has stated, the api does not request everything about your computer, and even with its diagnostics it still requests less information than many programs you probably already use do. chrome and chromium based browsers (opera, cent, ghost, sleipnir, and others) all request data from you that is typically more data than the nexus api will collect. If you have a smart phone or a smart TV or a smart speaker or any device that has bluetooth, chances are you are being data mined. Smart phones use your location and speed and similar to determine road conditions, smart speakers and smart home devices use what you say to determine what ads you should get next time you open their webpage. smart tvs will report your viewing preferences to be able to promote different products in your ads. You are being mined now, while you view this message by Amazon, who owns Curse LLC, who provide the ad service for Nexus Mods, which is why there was a popup message from curse the first time you accessed this site since mentioning cookies

  18. In response to post #64086551. #64086861 is also a reply to the same post. Kaebus, the lib analogy is referring to american liberals who are "anarchocommunists" that believe that everyone and everything should be free, from movies that cost 100 million to make all the way down to the artwork that starving artists spend days or weeks on.
  19. In response to post #64078956. #64079846, #64086906 are all replies on the same post. "Ad" is short for "advertisement" with 1 d not 2. While there are many different adblock variants such as opera adblock and ad block plus, the server can generally see where their data is going (or not going) and a script can tell "ads have been blocked" this is how many websites have the popup that says "please disable your adblock" blacktreegaming is not spitting in the face of users, it is not lowering the speed that adblock users can download at, instead it is increasing the speed that non-adblock users can download at. There is a difference between the two and you would do well to learn it. everything costs money, and adblock originated for two reasons: slow computers that would not benefit from the speed cap increase anyway, and intrusive ads that make sites unusable. Fandom for a while was a site that would slow down a computer to a crawl due to the number of ads it displayed, so it was the first site I used adblock on ever, and I only did so because fandom is wikia. since then fandom/wikia has removed some ads to allow computers to actually access it, and so I do not block ads on it anymore. The way you talk in this sounds like a whiny child who thinks that it should have every toy, you can not have everything you want, everything is give and take, if you dont give, how can you expect to take?

There are many reasons for this, Tannin is the original developer of mod organizer, and he was one of the people who decided not to use virtual filing. the new program will feature mod managing methods similar to how mod organizer currently works, the file managing will be able to work in many the same ways that mo does, the only difference is that it will actually place the files in the correct locations, this is for the same reason that el presidente gave up on mo2, the crashes due to virtual filing, especially in 64 bit are far too complex. for more info go read all previous posts about vortex, including the post where tannin said he was discontinuing development of mo1
  21. In response to post #54929913. Chances are that bashed patch will never be put into vortex, the bashed patch is being replaced by the smashed patch created with mator smash, this program will be a part of mator's zedit when the full release is out. from what I have seen, Zedit (the replacement for xedit aka tes5edit aka sseedit aka fo4edit) will also include merge plugins standalone and all other tools that mator has released.
