  1. While order of release is the recommended, I usually play HH, OWB, DM, LR.
  2. Try disabling UAC. Goto control panel and click the bar uptop. Select the text, remove it, and copy&paste this into the bar Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts Hit enter, and click on Change User Account Settings. I have mine set to never notify. Did you purchase the DLC seperatly, or were they gotten with giftcodes? If you have them you should be able to have Steam reverify the game content and it should download anything missing.
  3. If you still have FO3, you might want to look at A Requiem for the Capital Wasteland.
  4. You don't. GRA just adds more weapons and ammo types to the game.
  5. I've had something like this issue earlier. Modify the ini file. Set Threadedai to 1 and add iNumHWThreads=2 under it.
  6. If you feel like finding a physical copy of Fallout 3, this mod might be of... well, a lot of intrest. It still has a number of bugs to work out, so I'd look into it a few months from now http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=41480
  7. I was trying to do my first playthrough with just regular guns. Then I got my hands on a Laser RCW. My guns only plan went straight out the window.
  8. Ultimate. It's prepatched with the latest (Something.something.525 if I remember right) patch. While the DLC is automatically installed with it, you can disable it from the FONV data selector, any NV mod manager, or you could just delete DLC's that you don't want. I don't know the exact prices but I think, on steam, the prices are ~20 for NV, ~8 for GRA, ~4 for CS, and DM, OWB, HH, and LR are all ~10 each. Bought seperatly they'd be around ~72. Ultimate edition, including everything just listed? $40.
  9. Somewhere in lower Florida would be nice. Perhaps a part of Cuba could be in a DLC? Or some other place where we can plausably visit another country in a DLC. Texas/Mexico and Michigan/Canada are other examples. No matter where though, I want them to bring back the vault door opening sequence from FO3. I miss that in FONV. And can we finally get some sort of usable vehicle? I'm sure that by now someone would have figured how to peice together a bike or something from random junk.
  10. I have a hunch that your 20 gigs of mods might be why your FO won't run anymore. NV with all dlc is ~9 gigs, and you've got twice that amount in mods installed over it. When you make that many changes to the base game, of course it's not going to run right. I'm honestly suprised that you didn't have CTD's ever other minute when you passed 10 gigs in mods.
  11. The only shaft is the one that you are imagining. NV is old now. The DLC is old now. It's a fact that a game, at launch, is much more expensive then it will be at half a year or more later. You can't say that you got shafted either way. You chose to buy the game at those prices. You wanted the game that you thought the prices to be fair. If you didn't want to pay as much, then you should have waited for a sale on it, or as a couple of people have said before, with this company you can expect a rerelease at a later date with all the DLC. But you know what the price really was? Bragging rights essentially. You paid a premium just so you can brag at other people about playing this game before them. The one thing you have to ask yourself though. Was the premium worth it?
