  1. Your post is a very nice and enjoyable to look at, however it is really just a attempt a flamebaiting. Someone literally made the same thread yesterday and a mod threatened to ban him for it. His did not look as good yet it said pretty much the same stuff.
  2. That's like 80% of the threads in here. :whistling: Agreed. Goliath if you don't want dissenting opinions on something-which I would add is not fact on either side of the spectrum and fully opinion based-then don't make pointless threads calling people fools. I think the game has got depth over other RPG's, see how I even agree with you and still find you to be a bit of a d(!)ck....
  3. This thread is a lie-also just look for trainers/books that specialize in archery, as for hitting head or knee I am not sure if either spot is worth more xp.
  4. I lean towards the 2 button mouse and $5 keyboard side of the equation, and I still think the UI is fine... I agree hardware has nothing to do with it, but I can't agree that the UI is fine. The majority of games(me amongst them) are having troubles with it so we can't all be wrong. It is optimized for a console controller meaning anyone using K&M will not be getting the UI experience Beth set out to create.
  5. Most all your issues resolved with the purchase of this item. It's 75 bucks online now but look for Black Friday deals. I purchased mine last Black Friday online for 40 bucks including shipping. With your present setup (assuming you a right hand mouse user), what does your left hand thumb do? Complete waste of a body part right? Wtih this amazing item your one thumb which basically did nothing on a standard keyboard has the ability to create not 1, not 2, not 3, but up to 10 hotkeys just for that single thumb! It's a PC gamer must have item.... http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=n52te&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&oe=&rlz=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=16318042829710503833&sa=X&ei=e17NTvKkPIPe2AWD4f2dDw&ved=0CE8Q8wIwAw# I own one of these, lol. It is not gonna solve anybodies problems at all. Also you posting this proves that you too have had issues with a UI that you are defending. I mean why should someone pay for a peripheral that cost 50EUR for somthing that is the developers lazy ass fault? Do you have any logical and rational explanation? I don't really know what else to say beyond you defense seeming awfully fanboyish.

Portal 2=66% off today, I may pick some stuff up tomorrow.
  7. I can understand, even with the greatest, smoothest controls in the world K&M can cause stress and pain in the joints so magnifying that with lazy controls on the UI in this game and what should be long sessions are cut short from uncomfortable fighting with a poor UI. Needs to be fixed really quickly.
  8. It is hard to say without being able to see the problem. Have you tried hitting the "boot menu" key when first turning on your PC?(it should be F12 or F10 but is unique to the motherboard) From the boot menu you will be given the choice of which HDD to launch from-if your primary hdd is not affected by the changes you made you will fin it in the boot menu list. The list should look something like this but with whatever options you have connected. http://www.pendrivelinux.com/wp-content/uploads/boot_harddisk.jpg Your HDD will be listed as its brand and model number.
  9. So we should dish out extra dollars on extra hardware to make a half assed port better? That's not the solution. A serious PC gamer does not play with a basic 2 button mouse and 5 dollar keyboard. I mean if you gonna spend 200++ bucks on a video card to max the Skyrim graphics out you selling yourself short by going with cheap input devices I am using a Logitech board that cost me 85EUR(prob over 100 dollars) and a ROCCAT KOVA mouse-never let me down on other(more technically achieved) games/interfaces. The interface has all the listed issues, even on top input hardware, because it was designed for use on a gamepad/360/ps3 controller. Gamer reviews and pro critics have commented on the UI for these reasons. It has got some serious problems and it is not a question of a 5 dollar mouse over a Naga you will still see the same problems being reported by the majority of players when it comes to cheap ports. Also if you are a player on PC you just have to flip the box to see no kind of serious rig is needed for this game.
  10. Yeah good video. This would be useful if you could find some uses for Whirlwind Sprint as it is pretty useless outsides of the quest which forces you to use it when it is first unlocked.
  11. I don't care how they sound for now I am just disappointed at how useless most of them are. Unrelenting force, is kinda lame just because it is basically a jedi push only from the mouth, lol. But in its defense it is one of the better shouts. Fire Breath, Has more of an AOE than something like a fire ball, but I feel I get more dam' in the long run from multiple ire balls shots. Ice Form, I actually really like this one-shout it on a marauder and you can retreat a bit to finish him with ranged combat(if Archer/Mage) Slow Time, not long enough it is just an escape shout for me. I like the other two I have- the one that gives you a swift weapon and the one that makes you invincible are good shouts. Though I agree with the poster-they do sound kind of weak and muttered.
  12. Honestly 2 days ago the game had become so boring for me that it was bordering on the least enjoyable game in my collection, then I just changed a few things up-STOPPED DOING THOSE HORRIBLE MISC QUESTS, lol. They were killing the fun for me- I also switched my character up a bit-which is really kind of a bad thing for the game, to explain, 2 days ago I was a powerful battle-mage now with the same character I am a stealthy archer. An RPG is about creating a character and investing in its skills/traits, in any great RPG you should not be able to switch play style at level 27 flawlessly. But anyway it did inject a lot more excitement into the game and if I get bored again I can just change back to a battle-mage, warning this did kind of kill a lot of the role play for me, but if it makes the game fun again what can you do,lol.
  13. Yeah the game does rock but some patching is needed in the next month. Good story so far, if not lacking a certain epic feel I like in my games. I mean at first I was like "s*** no DX11" but it was not missed in the Witcher 2 at all imo. Though BF3/Crysis 2 are very very good looking games because of it but don't have the depth of Skyrim-so I would choose the depth every day of the week. Some of the texture are very murky for 1080p MAX settings-mainly noticed on the Companions armor in the fur on the greaves/fur on Arch-mage robes. Not too bothered as it is an RPG so the visuals are not close to being the main attraction. Also the modders have taken care of some stuff already-face/body detail and getting rid of the blocky noses. Though the bugs in the game (arrow/ice spike getting stuck) don't really bother me some other ones do. For example, Bonechill Cave crashing every time you enter it making its related mission non-completable at this point. The Mordekai(I think that is right lol) mask causing your head to disappear and the Werewolf running attack not always working on a target. Those bugs annoy me. Also not loving he magic at the moment. Game still rocks and I have like 42 hours gameplay so far an by the time I am done/bored with this game I anticipate that to reach over the 120hrs mark. Easily worth the 34 quid I spent on it.
  14. Though I should say you can also-to avoid taking space in PC or having to format it you can just buy a regular HDD enclosure from Amazon for about 20Dollars and slip it into that-since you will have to order new sata plugs anyway/buy them in a pc store.
  15. Yeah now that you have the HDD in the machine do this.... First check to make sure it is connected to to the PSU/Mother board correctly trough the Sata cables. If so do this... Hit the Start button and type "Dick Management" and enter the program shown in the menu-here you should see all the HDD's connected to your PC and you should have an option to register the ones that are not already formatted to your PC, Make sure not to remove the data on it. I realise the above may not be easily understood with my brief explanation so is a video to guide you. This is a fairly extensive look into the ways of doing it for all copies of windows.
  16. A solid no, just a completely different tone/theme/setting/atmosphere to the games and a lot of that is to do with the music-it would change Skyrim from what it is.
  17. Feature was done on it in PCGAMER, I think 2 months ago, about this game and it was the first time I had heard of it and since the feature I have heard nothing else.
  18. ^^Hey mate, in about 90% of external HDDs on the market they are just enclosures with regular HDDs inside of them. Try opening the enclosure and removing the HDD and then install it in your PC internally. The process for removal should be similar to this...HDD removal!
  19. The Witcher 1/2 are great/enthralling RPG's they have great worlds/mythology too, though you may have played them already. Gothic 4 is great too. Kinda like 2 worlds only more polished and fun. You want a game to keep your attention then you have to get Mount&Blade Warband, truly one of the most captivating/enthralling games I have ever played. As far as liking WoW, you could try RIFT/Age of Conan, I play them both and like them very much. Shogun 2 for strategy lovers or Total War Empire. Just so much depth-I started to play them after I was done with Civ 5, they are as good quality as the Civ' series but unique in their own right.
  20. Like I said in another thread-my position on this is that the magic never actually got better like Beth says it did. All that happened was DESTRUCTION school became a bit more dynamic. The Necromancy/Summoning is awful(never will I look past the missing bound armor spell) we get maybe 9-10 spells, including the higher level versions of spells you already have. I also ask why the bothered to include the Telekinesis spell-it is useless as hurled objects do about 2% damage and without the raised stones(varla) in Oblivion their is no item that is awkward/difficult to reach. Beyond the lacking Summoning/Conjuration we have an almost empty Restoration school. Fast heal is the only useful spell. Wards eat through you magic like crazy and can maybe defend(if you would even call it that) one attack before leaving you with no magic to fight off the enemies. And it is not like I am expecting this from the stock Magic you are given-I am level 25 and put nearly all upgrades into Magic/wearing magic boosters(gloves-boots-mask-armor) all give me increased magic and the wards still are not an economic choice in a fight. Conjuration is my fav' school of magic/spell casting in any game(I believe it is the most powerful/dangerous) but in Skyrim I find it to be so thin and holow. The sad thing is Conjuration is the second most useful school in the game imo(Des'-Con'-Alt'-Res'-Ill'/ in that order of usefulness) TBH I like the scrolls way more than the schools in this game, they are more powerful and interesting, and since after level 15 money becomes useless as it is everywhere they are not hard to afford. PS. The staffs suck ass too. Staff of Magelight, really?Honest question has anyone even used that once? The game is not even dark/ the game has a cheap spell for it too.
  21. ^^Nice one mate I will just wait til after xmas when its on sale for like 15-17GBP and keep my money in the meantime.
  22. That's THQ for you... Milking its consumers with endless crappy DLCs. So how's the PC port this time around? It runs and looks a lot better than SR2 did, they've made use of DX11. The characters are a little cartoony but that's more an art style than it is a reflection of quality. The character generation is staggering, there are sliders for just about everything, it puts Skyrim to shame. Thanks for the info, is it worth the 30GBP that Amazon are selling it for? I am strongly considering getting it.
  23. For me RPGs should not contain multiplayer-it takes away from time spent on the story and most games which have multiplayer often put more concentration into it the the story/gameplay. That is just for mmorpgs in my opinion.
  24. My complaints are- The magic never actually got any better, the destruction became more powerful but all other schools became useless and lacked spells. Most notably Restoration/Illusion. The graphics are so dull and the lighting is all messed up-annoying blinding blurs of white fuzz. Absolutely no need for Mercantile as the shops suck and no real haggling/persuasion Even late into the game your character can become someone else in an instance and thus does not fell unique in any way Companions are stupid and useless Chorus bugs are more difficult to kill the dragons.
  25. "one of the best skyrim players in the world"-but it is not a competitive game. Anyway I watch the video, I did not get the style of it.
