  1. Thanks how do I download NMM doesn't do anything I click but give me mods I want to see game like billyro post on forums I see video he make good! What armor is this where do I download?
  2. Not sure if it makes a difference but you don't need spaces around the equals signs ( = ) also, remove the quote mark ( " ) from the second line so it looks like: bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal= Also, your post would be more appropriate in >> THIS << forum section (Mod troubleshooting). I think you are more likely to get help if you post there. If you want your post moved you can use the Report button (yellow /!\ sign) on your original post and ask nicely for a moderator to move it, just give a link to the section you want it moved to: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/3510-fallout-4-mod-troubleshooting/ If changing these lines doesn't help, add to your post and give a list of mods you have installed / your load order, maybe someone can help you further. If your mod list is long you can use the spoiler feature on the forums to make your post cleaner / easier to read, for example: Hope this helps, good luck!
  3. I happened across this thread while researching info on an unrelated issue (searched 'compass') Not entirely sure whether this will help, but my brain tells me it might. If the 'normal' HUD displays fine then this probably won't help but: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/428/? This modpage tells us how to "move the HUD" toward the edges of the screen. These values can also be increased to move the HUD further from the edges. I'm not sure what, if any, effect this may have on the Power Armor HUD (too lazy/uninterested to test for myself) but I figure it's worth a shot.
  4. Right-click the mod and Uninstall it. Double-clicking or using Deactivate button only.. well, deactivates it and will retain your chosen fomod options when re-activating. This is true for any mod in NMM fyi.
  5. It was with a comedic spirit that this was written, and I am generally satisfied with it on completion aside from a couple of cringe-worthy passages. The feeling of weariness and the suggestion of Winter in its drawn-out length is apparent to me though, after reading your solemn appraisal. I am no stranger to Winter, living as I do in the northeast of the U.S.. This past December was the warmest in recorded history for my state, but as I write this the air outside is frigid and though yet unburdened by snow, the landscape is settled into that pallid state where life has seemed to pause.
  6. That's great, thanks for correcting me on this and providing such an interesting anecdote. Wonder why I made this incorrect assumption. D'oh, hehehe.
  7. Trial and error. This particular tweak came from a user who posted to my modpage's comments, though :)
  8. In answer to your first question: no. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/3515-fallout-4-mod-requests/
  9. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7273/? I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I think it will help with whatever you're trying to do? Edit: the author also kindly provided the FO4Edit script he used to make this dump, so it might actually answer your question after all.
  10. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5048/? This (my) little file will tell you where this can be found, but only for "Local" map. Hope it helps. Edit: I also just realized that I removed the .ini entries from the Description so you'll have to download to see what I did.... so I'll stick it here until I get around to fixing my mistake. Fallout4.ini or Fallout4custom.ini [Mapmenu] ; fLocalMapLoadedAreaRadius_Interior=4096 ; fLocalMapLoadedAreaRadius=4096 ^ default values
  11. [interface] bDialogueCameraEnable=0 I use http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1064/? to disable the VATS Kill Cam.
  12. syzygy ('sizijee') The straight line configuration of 3 celestial bodies (as the sun and earth and moon) in a gravitational system a conjunction or opposition, especially of the moon with the sun. "the planets were aligned in syzygy" a pair of connected or corresponding things. "animus and anima represent a supreme pair of opposites, the syzygyearly 17th century: via late Latin from Greek suzugia, from suzugos ‘yoked, paired,’ from sun- ‘with, together’ + the stem of zeugnunai ‘to yoke.’ Most people I tell this to don't believe it's a word!
  13. How do I play this game and what are the best mods?
  14. Off for quite a while until I had to turn it on to progress in a certain mandatory conversation. I turned it on then, and have been playing with it on since. I have also left PC voice enabled although I dislike a lot of what I hear; I figure I can always leave it on the cutting room floor for a subsequent play.
  15. JPEG compression is a tradeoff between file size and preservation of detail / original characteristics of the image. People on capped connections (like a "data plan" for a phone only allowing you 5GB) will thank you if you use this format because of its high compression - it makes the image files use less storage space. Judge for yourself - save some of these PNG screenshots as JPEGs with 60 - 90% compression and see how much of a difference you can perceive. People viewing screenshots on the Nexus will never fullscreen most of what they see, though. PNGs captured from a 1080 frame will be pretty darned big. (3 - 6MB depending on the image) and depending on your intent are probably 'too big'. They are still compressed, just not as much as your standard JPEG. Not a lot of people care or consider file size though since broadband is so widely available these days and the display of these images are, for most people, pretty instant. For anyone on a slower DSL or rural 3G connection, viewing 3+MegaByte images can be pretty painful. You would also save the Nexus some server space by compressing your uploads :o) Kind of a drop in the bucket, but there it is. This is an article I found by a quick google search which I think gives a pretty good overview of different image file formats and when they are best used. http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/graphicformats/f/summary.htm
  16. I also clicked here out of curiosity because I have done a little messing around with the game's .swf files. I'm only more curious, now. Please elaborate as VonicVS suggested. I know for a fact that there are people here who are quite well versed in these things but you are much more likely to get an appropriate response if you provide details, instead of forcing them to engage you personally.
  17. As for possible I am certain that such tools will become available in time. Right now the best suggestion I could make would be to use the console to save, in which case you can name the file whatever you like. Can't add notes as you wish but could still name it to indicate the state. e.g. I have done this a few times to mark saves for settlement building i.e. SanctBuildStage01 for my first 'stage' of building, in case I want to revert for a different design.
  18. Haven't played that so the reference is lost on me.
  19. I think that if you were to look at all into the material requirements, and what items break down into (let alone the quantities), you may find yourself to be overcome with rage. If I am to take your response to this finding as an indication of your temper ;o) For instance, their so-called "conduits" which should really be called insulators. The only way that I can reconcile these "conduits" having a power radius is that I place them on a building which in reality would have its own internal wiring to provide power to lights, etc. Let's ignore the fact that none of the walls or other building components require copper :o) Oh, and then I expected to get at least some copper (let's just call it material we need for electrical type stuff) from scrapping an entire house in Sanctuary. Or, maybe scavengers already ripped all of the internal wiring and plumbing outta the walls. So, it must be assumed that the copper material requirement is meant to account for this "site wiring". In reality the single part which they are calling a "conduit" (insulator) would require only steel and ceramic/glass/porcelain/polymer depending on the type. The actual connection between the lateral (what we see as Wire in-game) and the site wiring of the home or structure would be done by a tap. Obviously it's a lot of extra work / rendering / modeling and finicky placement that's not really necessary for the intent of the system in-game. I also find it hilarious that we get copper from light bulbs, and glass in an amount that would be in any way significant. This is ignoring the fact that glass is expensive / difficult to reclaim and re-purpose even in our modern, un-nuked world. In fact, the ease and quickness with which our PC magically plunks down any construction element or device / machine is .. well .. incredible. ;o) This stuff doesn't particularly bother me. It's just a game, and a really fun one at that - and if I'm going to start applying the rules of the reality in which I live, the whole thing is gonna fall apart pretty quickly. The designers had to require we get these materials from /somewhere/ and had to separate them into some "types" to make an interesting system. They could call lead 'soft crap' and copper 'material we use to run (path) electrics' for all I care, but it wouldn't fit into the menus very well. I'm sure most people never notice this kind of stuff. In short, no matter how good any simulation is, there is always going to be some suspension of disbelief required. Just that, in some cases, that suspension may be a bit more shaky. Edit: Reformatted a bit and expanded on a thought I had just minutes after posting.
  20. Great, it was fun to write and flowed out naturally for the most part. I wish I'd remembered that circuitous has four syllables but what can ya do. I looked up the word 'esoteric' just to be sure, this is one of many that I had known through context only. Sitting at a computer is sure convenient sometimes. I'm curious, is it because there must be some knowledge of the building system and Dogmeat's particular usefulness / the commands by which our PC directs him?
  21. Hey, boy. .... How are you doing? ....Would you like to play a game? Find me the path that settlers will take this grand construction together we'll make without you, only for modpos's sake, would settlers be able to reach their own stake. The path that I follow is not always there, I must be a wizard to press through the air for walls that were once upon earth's firm foundation though removed, seem only to give them frustration these settlers they choose such a circuitous route, to see my blue corn you'd think there'd been a drought! Now Dogmeat, come hither and strike out all doubt, and help me direct these poor fools strewn about. I'm pretty darn certain that I'd made a way I know it, I walked it, with Dogmeat at bay! http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/1151/2968141-1450557275.jpg here, boy. ...over there. come here. ...stay, boy. here, boy! ...over there. come here! Yes, I see it now. I see my error, and I am filled with a great sadness. This wall seems to be the desire of many as, tireless, they press against its firmness no command nor trickery can convince them to use the portal, they are content to polish the floor. Still, they look at me. The intelligence in their Eyes of Beauty is belied by their apparent duty to hold back my plans for a sensible place and they are content to polish the floor. Still, work must continue and we have our mission though I start to feel silly, an honest admission Dogmeat, please help me, before it's too late deliver our settlers from this horrid condition. TEAR DOWN THE WALL! now we have a sunroom, I hope you're happy cause boy this facade looks pretty crappy. not in the least, I am forced to put stairs so Settlers and Dogmeat may stride unawares of that six. inch. ledge. http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/1151/2968141-1450557334.jpg -- author's note -- I wanted to write another, so I did; if you made it this far I applaud your commitment. Maybe you just wanted to see how bad it could really get. I won't even go back to read it, for I'm certain I would be appalled. I haven't written or read (much) poetry since I had all the hair on the top of my head so if you are knowledgeable and would like to critique this, please do - I don't mind  Many thanks to @ad3d0 for their ahk script, "Precise object moving and rotating." You made this so much easier. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3615/? Also thanks to @LogRaam for their lovely mod, "The Eyes Of Beauty Fallout Edition". http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/133/? Heavenly backdrop provded by @Mangaclub Radiant Clouds and Fogs
  22. Awesome, quite happy to help of course. I just now realize why your name was familiar, thank you sir for better sorting my inventory in Skyrim ;D
  23. I think this technically belongs in the Fallout 4 Mod Troubleshooting section, and not Technical Support for the game itself. Since it's just the Power tab that gives problems I'd recommend first checking for mods you have installed which add/remove/change/edit any Power items. Read carefully the descriptions on their mod pages, and look for mention of incompatibility warnings. Also I noticed in your list that you have multiple versions (options) of the same mod installed: These are options, you should pick the one you want and keep it, get rid of the rest. The second of each group will be the only one that works, maybe there will be bigger problems, I don't know. I know you will not benefit by having every "Choose Only One" file of any mod installed at once. from the page of this mod: Better Gasmasks 100.esp Better Gasmasks 50.esp and the compatibility patch, same Better Gasmasks_Armorsmith Extended 100.esp Better Gasmasks_Armorsmith Extended 50.esp
  24. Hi, I can't give links to reference docs (solely) on the tags but these are two guides that I found really helpful while learning to write up a ModuleConfig: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3455360-tutorial-for-building-nmm-installer-scripts/ http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44914/?
  25. I personally dragged them out of the area and stuffed them behind some bushes. I think if you open the console, click the offending corpse, and type "removeme" and/or "markfordelete", save game and reload, they should be gone.
