  1. Well, I dont use skyre main files, just the racial, and even then just recently. All that incompatiablness was to much for me to warrent careing. However, I do use empowered magic, and like shadowjin I think its the best out there atm. "There are actually very few bugs associated with perks and I intend to throw out the majority of perks anyway." Hell, most of them are just glorified difficulty settings anyway, and could easily be compensated for in other areas of the game. A symptom of bethesda's trend toward "streamlining"...*cough* dumbing down.
  2. Is it possible with SKSE now to remove the silly time freeze on lockpicking, and loot / trade? Its in the UI I think. "Quick hands" should slow time slightley, and "perfect touch" should slow time on loot/trade. That way characters dont have magical time freezing abilities by default :p Ive always though it would be kinda neat to be standing around tradeing gear with my followers, and suddenly get hit with bandit arrows :)
  3. I did a fresh reinstall of skyrim, because my game had become unstable and 3 out of 4 of my character saves would crash on loading. I have no Idea why 1 of them worked...that game had been played alongside all the others. Anyway after a fresh reinstall my game is CTDing going into riverwood, especially if I try to go inside any building there. This is the VANILLA game. Its crashing worse than when I had 193 plugins! USKP. Does not fix this stupid error for me>>> "fxDustDropRandomSCRIPT.psc" It happens everytime I start a new game, even with USKP. All I can think to do is uninstall and do a thorough registry cleaning. Then reinstall. Again this is vanilla skyrim. It even happens without Dawguard and Hearthfires. EDIT: 2cd Reinstall seems to have fixed the CTD. Though my logs are about 3 times larger than before...
  4. Lol, thats what ive been doing. Until now I guess. @anyone I had actually altered all my encounters in the CK pre dawnguard, including encvampire, which of course I had to export all the facegen data to eliminate tha random grey face issues the CK causes. Then dawnguard comes out and I notice that all human/elf vampires have TAN FACE now... I tried deleting my old facegen data for vampires form my skyrim.esm folder, than tried exporting new facegen data from dawnguard.esm, but to no avail :( Only change I use is xenius character enhancmets, which is just improved textures. I wounder if this could be solved by copying and renaming some .dds file to the right location? I have noticed that some of the vampires I encounterd arent using the new glowing eye texture, but rather an older one I have in my data folder. EDIT nope...

  6. So. If I want to do a fresh install of skyrim to clean out all the junk thats not supposed to be there anymore. Is it ok to leave all the mods I want to reinstall active in NMM ( meaning installed ) of, course they wont really be installed, but at least they will be marked in NMM so I can "deactivate" / activate, without having to comb through the list. I have a lot of stuff thats downloaded, though not installed. Thats why im asking. I've tried this on a small scale, but was wondering if this can cause any problems, or perhaps there is a better way?
  7. Thanks for the reply. No, and No. Everything looks worse in game, like suddenly my tv is not HD, lol. My gpu is a 560 ti sc. As far as I can tell the main menu looks normal. I really havent a clue what is causing it. Im going to roll back to my old driver to see what happens. EDIT: No luck. It seems Im stuck with a shittier looking game after updating my nvidia driver... Im at a loss. EDIT: 2 Ok it seems to be only the last save or two that were effected. I loaded up another character and its fine. I'll have to fiddle some more tomarrow, now i need to get to sleep.
  8. Hello all. Im having an issue with the way my skyrim looks after updateing my nvidia drivers. My old drivers were version 290.53, and the update I just installed is version 296.10. The problem is the game looked much clearer and higher resolution before updating to 296.10. Now the game is much fuzzier, and I really hate it. I have already allowed skyrim launcher to detect settings again after the update, which are at ultra, as they were before. I have set the game aspect to 16:9, because im hooked up to my flatscreen TV, and 1920 by 1080 as thats the best resolution available for me. Before updating, I could be wrong, but I think I had 1862 by 1036, but thats worse right? Nothing really seems to help as far as settings goes in the launcher, and Im not sure were to go from here. I suppose the obvious thing to do would to revert to 290.53, or try another version, but should this be happeing ? Any help would be appretiated. Thanks
  9. Ive been sitting on this idea for a while. So, here it is. You know how when you do crafting in game ( smithing, alchemy, enchanting ) time goes on around the player, right? Well, how lame is it that the lockpicking, and loot/trade interphases freeze time. Picking a lock at the bottom of a lake is no problem, since time freezes. _____________ Change # 1: The idea is to make time continue on when in the lockpicking mini game screen, and the same goes for the loot/trade menus. This would mean that all characters start out not stopping time on any skill/trade in game. _____________ The second part impacts perks, and increases role play. This would also help to further differentiate the thief from the warrior, or mage. Change # 2: Add the vanilla freeze time effect for lockpicking to the perk "quick hands", or "golden touch" for a more balanced difficulty. Add the vanilla freeze time effect for looting/trade menu to the perk "perfect touch". _____________ Each effect can be reached in the tree that should effect it., and it would make it more inconvienant for warriors and mages to do lockpicking or looting. I use lockpicking spell mods for my mage classes, but I would love for my dumb warrior orc to have an even greater disadvantage when trying to do thief like things. I realize stopping time is silly, but you kinda have to take it not so literally, and just think of it as a thief haveing much quicker hands and looting skills. Maybe it would be possible to slow time drastically instead of using the vanilla freezing effect? Call me crazy, but I think this is a great idea.
  10. Type the lost followers name in console like this>> help"xxxx"4 then press enter. Should give you their ID then type in console>>> player.moveto xxxxxxx if it dosent work try deleting the last number/letter of the ID and adding one up number/letter. Example: ID 000888B , delete "B" and add "C" then try it. Remember numbers convert to letters after 9. 9 changes up to A. I think, I could be wrong, going on memory. If you find the corpse, use consle, click on corpse and type "resurrect" If you cant find them use "player.setfollowercount to 0" That follower wont be usable anymore but others should. If by chance that last console command dosent work, try looking it up at the wiki.
  11. I havent voted yet, but the two that stand out in my mind are ancient nord, or dragon bone/scale. I say this because I can picture the horse either having goat horns on its head with acient nord, or with dragon havine the bone plate aranged to make it look like a dragon skull. With the leather/fur though you could use a bear head for the horse helm...cant decide really.

  14. Ive been running 220+, had an issue a week ago that I was lucky enough to fix ( crashing in game after I moved for about 30 sec). I fixed it, go me! :) However, to day I come home and for once I didnt install anything. I actually unsubbed to 4 of the 5 steam workshop mods i have. I cut the files and archived them in for NMM to keep more control, left only one steam workshop subdscribed. Then I ran a game integrity scan from steam. The new Highrez esp.'s were the only thing repaired. So I deleted them for the ini. fix...Starterd up Skyrim, CTD after logo! x3 now :( I didnt even change any f***ing mods. Now excuse me while I spend a few hours hunched over my computer f***ing with files. EDIT: Just found this on the update for next official patch "•Fixed crash when loading a subscribed mod that has been removed from Workshop by the author" This sounds like what I have, since steam ws throws thing in my /data I have a few things in there I cant remmber exactlly what they were. Therein lies the problem....
  15. Thanks I noticed this myself, and I pretty new to this stuff. Does this also mean if you do bypass and use the skse launcher, steam workshop will not enable its mods? So I guess I just need to lauch with steam once to install.
