You need the niftools plugin for max. All the required things on the first page are literally required hehe. -

Twiggy is right. Also behavioral havok files have the ability to use real spring physics. Lastly I'm using the same exact version of havok that bethesda told me they were using. So if its not the same then I don't know what version you mean hehe. -

I did some more investigation, and found that the bad scales are in the kf files converted from our animations. So why this problem goes away with importing twice is beyond me. It doesn't work for me. Are you really sure? I have also seen scales like 139.7 on the upper arm, which would be noticable in-game, but isn't. So I think that hkxcmd falsely generates that. I reported that to Hologram in his thread. My point is that I think it is confusing to the users (and me :) ) when you always talk about physics, and in reality it's (mostly) animation. So before I read about the lagg stuff I was thinking that you create the bouncing only by using ragdoll. I dont think hologram would know because the method I export is with the havok engine built into 3ds max. Ahh yes. In order to have automated breast movement bounce etc you would have to be able to edit the behavior files. This is not possible currently (I have tried to decompile it enough to edit it etc) Perhaps after the CK comes out. -

You can always add a new BSDismemberment Modifier right in max, and select all polygons. set it to "Torso" Then once the model is imported into NIFSkope, you need to manually edit the Properties of the BSDismemberment for your character from "Torso" to "32" which is the Skyrim ID# for Torso. Also, yes this is how I have been doing my model editing, I create two morph targets for _0 & _1, then take a 3rd copy that is default, apply the morph modifier to it, then add in the breast weighting & the smooth modifier. Then on export I simply change the sliders and export each state with the appropriate body. IF YOU DO THINGS THIS WAY IT IS 100% IMPORTANT THAT YOU DELETE THE MORPH MODIFIER IN NIFSKOPE. The model will not change once it's been exported, but as DizzasterJuice explained when he originally put forward this idea, it will crash your skyrim on-load if it's in the final NIF. My logic for doing it this way is I have fewer situations where I load things into the game and I get a vertex explosion when using the weight slider due to the _0 and _1 model vertex weight being different. @Frozzled If you're interested in doing your own brand new content, you will have to create some UV Maps as well as associated Texture DDS files. I'm personally still unclear how to apply NiAlpha settings in Nifskope, so I can't really advise you on that. But all of these elements are important. If you're in the business of making a new armor though, I would recommend you at least put together a polygon model. (just build it up on one of the body models) and then we'll have something to at least go off of / reference to help you with the rest. Standalone armor insertion has been enabled by kind of a makeshift CK that the nexus community has cooked up, so even pre-CK you can create new content, it's just a lot of tedium. This is awesome thank you. I am unsure about the Alpha as well. -

Do this as the same thing happens to me: Import animation onto your setup following my tutorial on my description page. Then the character might be all warped out of shape. Leave it like that and REIMPORT the animation again. It should self correct oddly enough. For your second question. The havok files control everything about the bone system and ragdoll and animation and order of bones and the way the game handles it etc etc etc etc. So im not sure what your asking lol. I created a Pre breast and Pre butt bone originally to line up the bones properly. Then Twiggy found out how to add the lagg controller to the Pre bones in the skeleton.nif file. -

Thank you. The camera trick is listed in my FAQ's: Q: How do I move the camera so I can see the front of me while walking, running etc? A: Open your console and type: "animcam" (Without the quotes) This will allow you to rotate the camera while you walk etc. However you cannot turn your character so you might have to type animcam again to put your camera to default again to turn. hope that helps -

This is excellent thank you for sharing this I will have to try it. I used to make morph targets for facial expressions on my characters (Not skyrim related) To make new armor you need to somehow replace an existing or create a new. Problem is if you create brand new one im not sure what the Dismember modifier would be nor the extra file to include it into game. -

The Argonian race and all the other races use the same femalebody_0.nif and femalebody_1.nif So the short answer is no they cannot have flat chests unless all your females in the game are flat chested. The long answer is well ....... long and complicated and requires editing the havok files to point to new .nif files and cant be done right now without having some major game issues :( -

Well you have to think of it this way. You make the way you want it to look at _0 (Lowest weight slider) Then you have to modify the mesh to look the way you want it to look at _1 (Highest weight slider setting) I am assuming this is what you meant. -

Wellt he current blender does not support .nif's properly. There is a guide somewhere how to convert etc but I have no idea how to use blender. I used it to test some issues and weight paint with it, but that was it. I am not a fan of it and I paint weights and model in 3ds max :( sorry. I know theres a video tutorial on how to export and import for blender on the nexus somewhere. -

Well your learning a 3d program it will take some time to learn at first. It takes me anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour now to get things going (Depending if the mesh gives me trouble with the sliders) Remember your learning a valuable Real life skill here hehe. -

Perhaps I missed it in the guide, but I presume that we're adding weights to the armor so it can scale appropriately with the breast and butt slider; is there an additional way to make them no-weight or half-weight in regards to bouncyness? I mean a metal breastplate shouldn't be flexing at all, and some stiff leather armor should have reduced flex compared to, say, a barmaid's tunic. Yes it is up to the modder or creator of the armor how much of the breast weight they apply. the weight only effects the amount of movement to the breasts and butt. -

Added a Clothing replacer for the Barkeeper and Chef outfit. The file is located in the optional files section of the CHSBHC BBP mod There are some small weight problems with the back bottom seam. I will fix this at a later date. -

Lol this tutorial took me about 8 hours. I actually ran through it and did the steps myself to be sure that it would work on the other end. *Passes out* But as long as people learn and are able to use it to make things for themselves that makes me a very happy girl. -

Yes you can. I've removed legs, backs, arms, etc. from body meshes to correct clipping and removed various other parts of armor meshes. Nice tutorial btw, thanks for all your effort and hard work on this. I mean of course you can delete the Verts in 3ds max but if you do not have exact vertex matching sets in your _0.nif and _1.nif files then the sliders will not work. Also sometimes it may screw up the UV maps. hehe Ah, my misunderstanding. Yeah I use an edit poly modifier to make all the changes on (I don't touch the editable mesh), then copy and paste the edit poly to the _1 so the verts still match, then use a morpher modifier and morph the _0 to the _1 then save the _0 as _1 instead of trying to get the _1 to match the _0 edit: To clarify, since the weight slider is a morpher of sorts it makes more sense to create both large and small versions of your mesh, save the small version, then morph your small version to the larger version and save it as the large version rather than trying to get both versions to match each other. That is an incredibly good tip! I usually save the mesh that I want for the _0 then I save and export it, then use the exact same scene to morph it to fit the _1 mesh. -

My guess is because your using the skin wrap modifier instead of the basic skin modifier. You are copying the skin modifier from the CHSBHC body that is in your scene right? (Copy the skin modifier from the CHSBHC body in 3dsmax and paste it onto the prisoner clothing (Or whatever your working with)) You deleted the other body file that comes with the clothing? (Theres a body that comes with the clothing underneath that you should delete if your using my body underneath it) If you can, send me a little screenshot with your niffile's NiTriShape expanded and your 3dsMax modifier panel for your CHSBHC body and the Clothing. Pretty please. -
