  1. If you want to a void all of the compatibility problems and still have a custom look then you should learn to use CS and create your own custom race esp. I make alot custom race imperial so I can give them different face and body textures. I only use these for companion's but I'm sure you could use them for save game character's as well. by loading two esp's into cs. the one you want to take stuff from and the one you want to put stuff in. set the second one to active. now you should make copy's of all the stuff you want in there. done worry about connecting the pieces just yet. do not mix eye's choose the type you like the most and go with that. save your esp and reload just your esp. if you get some error's about missing part's don't worry we will fix that soon enough. now rename the stuff you copied to what ever you like and if it ask's you if you want to create a new form say no. now that you have everything renamed you should go into your custom race and delete all the hair and eye's from them.use the delete button. the next step is to set the mesh for the eye's. this will be in the face data. now open your hair and eye's and drag them into the custom race. then save. you should now be able to reload your esp with no error's. if you learn to do it this way you will be very glad you did and the next time you see a hair that you just got to have that just add it to your esp.you can have as many race's or copy's of them as you want all on a single esp. you can even copy the one's you have created and give them different eye model's face and body textures. if you want to use this esp to make a companion then you should merge it to your companion esp. use TES4Gecko. never try to copy stuff from an esm unless you convert it to an esp first. this can be done with TES4Gecko. as far as making body texture you will need to learn to use blender and gimp. I have been experimenting with this a bit myself and have made a fair looking skin just not too much detail. making a good normal map will greatly improve any skin you create. http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Main_Page some help here, even a good page on making normal map's if you can find it.
  2. It doesn't add any new clothing that I know of but I don't use that body mod so can't say for sure. if it wasn't working the skin texture would look messed up on the clothing and the shape is different as well.

Is your character female ? yes- undress your self and see if your body is nude. no-no changes visible. clothing replacers adjust the existing clothing to fit the new body so it is important to establish whether you actually have the body install first. if needed kill a female npc and remove her clothes. if you see a naked body then the body replacer is working.if it is and the skin textures don't look messed up while dressed then the clothing replacer is probably working as well. the other thing to test is the Compenduim. this I believe is some sort of shop somewhere? go there and see if it exist's. if there are any esp's that were required with these mod's make sure they are activated.

Well I,ve been doing some thinking and remembering why I created the job engine in the first place.you see oblivion is very touchy about container's and having to npc's adding and removing things at the same time will likely cause a lot of crashes.when I started to learn to auto dress my companion's I ran into this problem alot don't really know why because it was two different script's on two different companion's so there should'nt have been a problem but there was and the only way to fix it was to create an engine to control them. something you should think about.

  9. how about I make a looting spell that can be used on any npc then you can see how it works and figure out how to adapt it to your need's oh one other thing, anything I create will require OBSE v18 b5 as I know no other way to do it.
  10. No I think you're missing the point. I was just asking for help with my mod, not to dissect one of your own. That's ok. I will try and figure it out on my own or find someone else. very well, I will help you figure it out, you will need to figure out which animation's we will need and let me know how you would like to apply this to the npc. but I would like to use these animation's in my code as well just so you know. Ok ?
  11. Since you mention it, I'm looking for an ideal system for getting NPC's to loot everything within a certain distance. This must include dropped items like weapons and everything on a corpse. Ideally, when commanded, they walk around picking up everything one at a time (or at least once per corspe) and show the check corspe or use item animation each time. And when they are done they will deposit all the items they just looted into a predefined container. I need something like this for my next mod and prefer this feature be built into the mod so that it can be properly customized to suit the situation. Should you choose to help at all then you will of course be given full credit and I will recommend and link to your mod. I think your really missing the point here.The Idea is to help you build around ECC and not to Dissect it. If you think of ECC as the cobl of companion's then you will begin to understand it's true purpose. let's say that Tarm has created a beautiful respectable church going companion.and one day you just happen to catch a glimpse of her. you are quite taken in by her beauty but your intentions for her are anything but respectable.so one night you trick her into leaving the safety of the town and capture her and now she spends her time looting corpse's for you and a few other thing's we won't talk about. Tarm is ferrous now and is hell bent on revenge, so he assembles a team to come after you and save his beloved companion from your evil intention's. so if you were to create your mod with your code and tarm was to create his companion with his code there would be no chance that this sort of thing could ever happen. but if you were both using ECC then yes there is a good chance that something like this could happen.
  12. Tarm, I understand that everybody has there own Idea about what makes a good companion and will do my best to make sure that I'm not shoving anything down anyone's throat. ECC is very modular and many things can be decided about the companion from the login script.rather then wasting my time figuring out how to turn these things off, it is better to let the player decide from the start what to turn on.while these option's may be a bit limited and first. but they will be added provided they are not outrageous and people take the time to supply feedback. wizardmirth wardrobes at this point are used mostly for sleeping purposes at this point.if you give your companion [sleepwear] they will get undress and get into their [sleepwear] . if you don't like the Idea of them getting undressed then you shouldn't give them any [sleepwear]. and if you want them to sleep in thier [underWear] then you need only to give it to them. they will always choose new [DayWear] after sleeping, regardless of whether they actual get undress or not. as of the next release [underWear] will no longer be included and player will have to supply them. aside from that I haven't made ant other decision's about wardrobes. the thing to understand about ECC is that it is an engine and not really a companion mod. many things are planned for the ECC in term's of plug in's and custom made characters that will make good use of wardrobe's but care must be taken not to force it into any one direction or the people who use it will be very limited and soon someone will be releasing yet another companion to fill the gap. if you have Idea's about wardrobe's and how you would like to see them used fill free to express them. I can't make any guarantees but I can possible help you make a custom character template that will link to the engine as long as your willing to let this template be included for others to use.looting corpses is no big deal I'll make sure to include it in the next release. as far as plug in go just to give you an Idea of what's planned job's and setting up a little companion run village or settlement. organizing a party to clear out cells in which each companion would have a special role to fill. there would soldiers to kill the inhabitis gathers to clean it out a merchant to haul it all away a cook to feed everone perhap's some hunters to gather some food. there are any number of simulation's that could be created that would add a little break from the game and would still allow you to go out and kill something whenever you feel the need.

The primary goal of the ExtremeCompanionControl is to create such an environment. it features a token based job engine which are used to control all companions logged into it.while the initial release does not really include the ai needed to bring the companions to life it does demonstrate the job engine's ability to control them without any script attached to the companion.the next release will include the multi layered AI capability. the primary layer is the need's layer which makes the companion want to survive. and is all that is really need for a general companion.from there we can give them a personality layer so they can be a little bit different then the rest of them.after that we can give them a higher purpose a quest of there own or many quests. these quest's will be companion driven and will not require an actual quest. they will also be able to page through them like a comic book. you can go back an replay your favor parts. this kind of setup will allow the creator to continue his/her story and you the player can jump to where you left off. I have just finished the cell record spell that will allow the player to setup any house for companion use. the player can choose which room the companion will sleep in and where to eat, any number of markers can be placed and tasked added to make them do thing's in these location's

That really suck's and I'm sorry I haven't any help for you.If you were using my mod there is a spell for that sort of thing but it would work with CM. if you have some coding skills you could create your own spell that would disable her for a few seconds and then enable her.that should do the trick. after that you will want to raise her disposition so she likes you more.if you can't create the spell let me know and I will try to make one for you
  15. the first thing you need to do is figure out which esp the race is on. often time's the npc is linked to a copy of the race and not the actual race esp.if it is a copy it will be on the same esp as the npc using it. once you know that you need to open the race and click on body data. the one's you are interested in is the foot and hands. you should be able to see from there where the file's are located or just point it to some other texture.
  16. My Mod has built in support for multi body support as wearable body parts any body style can be made into wearable Items and creating custom races you can apply the different textures to these. sorry I don't have time to say more I'm late
  17. I saw your post earlier but didn't think it was really an answer to what you were asking, technically your only allowed one body style and these tool's can be used on a small scale to bend that rule.

I do this all the time and is not that hard. first you need an esp to put it into.if your making a custom race copy the race esp and rename it to what ever. use it to put your companion into. use wrye bash to copy the savegame to your new esp. after that you need to refer to your companion mod to finish the setup http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22368

Well that's not exactly the way I see it .It's luck for you that I'm not trying to make a companion mod that meets my needs but one that allows us to explore the outer limits of what can be done. and the moment I'm working on the multi layer personality system. if you want to have such power over your little companion's you must first give them the need for a job. that's one layer.now we want them to feel a little more life like so they wont stand there looking stupid.so we throw in a couple more layers and soon you have a companion that want's a job and has a little something to talk about.with the need to survive allows opportunity to exploit that need. push to hard and they may abandon, you treat them to nice and they may feel for you. I am One creator of the ExtremeCompanionControl my new friend who wishs to remain in the dark at this point is two.You could be three if you were ambitious enough to do more then just talk about it. what say you oh and did I say I was adding a little hunting task that is turning out to be quite fun.

  23. I don't know that blender has those features but I guess one could just use a full body slot config and not everybody is sold on HGEC . Thanks for the Tips
  24. what your asking is far more complicated then you know. resizing the head is only the start then you half to recreate the .egm , .tri files. this is something amorilia is tring to workout at NifTools but to my knowledge is not yet working for heads.
  25. the_philanthropy Thanks for the info,I know this isn't my thread but since were all here anyway.I would like to know more if you have more to share. I checked out your body very nice, I don't know how that one slipped past me. but isn't she lacking a bit in the clothing department. As her creator are you not responsible for her well being. It's amazing how many would be creator's overlook that sort of thing. perhaps this goes back to the whole Adam and Eve thing.
