  1. Dude, DoctorKaizeld literally said that it's impossible to make a 'private' XBox 1 mod that's been ported from PC SSE. They're uploaded to Bethesda.net, IIRC, and there's no way to have a private mod that you can use on the XBox 1.
  2. Mate, we get it, you hate Fallout 76! After Mass Effect Andromeda, I was pretty devastated by the mess it turned a great franchise in, and I don't like this pushing of multiplayer on people. But don't you think telling players who defend FO76 because they like it that they're suffering Stockholm Syndrome is a bit much? Instead of posting essay-rants here, why don't you take your complaints to Bethesda and social media? You're posting every other day and screaming about how modding will be banned. The people who got booted from FO76 were using Cheat Engine, and as I understand it, that gave them an unfair advantage. Failing that, why don't you get some disgruntled people together and start working on your own RPG? I've seen some great stuff done with RPG Maker and Unreal in the past, and if it's interesting enough, I'd probably support an RPG kickstarter. But you're basically howling into the void/lowkey insulting people here as I see it.
  3. Obviously Skyrim SE has updated itself and you'll need to wait until SKSE updates to be able to use SKSE mods.
  4. Basically, for whatever reason, the author has chosen to hide it. It still exists, but it's literally hidden from the public until the author chooses otherwise.
  5. I dunno. As for the Creation Kit error thing, that's normal. Please use Google, I've helped you to the best of my ability.
  6. Oldrim mods need to be converted from form 43 to form 44. As I understand, you manually install it and make sure it's active, then bring up Creation Kit, open the file in there, save and then close. Mods containing meshes and textures require more work that you'll need to Google because I don't have a clue. That's one of several possibilities, that aMidianborn is in form 43.
  7. So, out of curiosity, has aMidianborn been properly converted to SE? I know that Cabal won't be doing it, but if it's still in Form 43, that can destabilise the game and cause crashes.
  8. You know what? I'm not getting into this because you're more intent on free speech than respecting a marginalised culture's right to protect its sacred and significant properties.

If something is considered sacred and/or important to a group, particularly one that is marginalised and still suffering the effects of genocide (Indigenous peoples in particular), it's pretty trashy for someone not of said group to appropriate said icon for any creative work, let alone a mod. That being said, I really don't approve of any RL sacred/cultural icon being used in mods, and that includes the Abrahamic and other faiths. Of course, I'm the grandchild of a Stolen Generations Australian Aboriginal woman who suffered loss of country and culture, so it's very much family history for me. There's a big difference between a Viking style axe and a didgeridoo. In the end, if someone comes from said culture and saying 'can you please remove this, it's not respectful' to a mod author, I think it's pretty reasonable to expect the mod author to remove it.
  10. From the sounds of it, you have a missing master somewhere. I suggest running LOOT to sort out your load order and find what's missing. :)
  11. The singular Unofficial Patches are no longer supported. For Oldrim, you have the choice of the Unofficial LE Patch, and for SE the Unofficial SE Patch.
  12. Are you using LOOT to sort the mods out? It also helps with compatibility and things like that. A Bashed or Smashed patch will also help.
  13. There's some new GTX cards coming out over the next few months. SLI really isn't as good as it's supposed to be, so I'd just get a 2060 or 2070 if you can afford, or a cut-price 1060 or 1070. The latter does do a decent 1-2K ultra that's usually 60fps on a 1440p monitor.

  15. Are you making a new game and doing alright, then saving and going to desktop, then coming back and the game crashing every time you load a save? Because that's been happening to me since this morning.
  16. For some mods, like all of mine, they don't require SKSE. Others... Well, RL has a way of getting in the way of things.
  17. I want to adjust Master Trader to add 10000 instead of 1000 gold. How do I do that? I've tried adjusting the amount of gold under the Perk effect but it isn't working. Thanks!
  18. Are there any decent mod guides like S.T.E.P. for SSE? I tend to play towards realism with things like unleveled loot, some crafting mods, some extra questlines and a lot of textures. I'm mostly looking for stability, as I'm having game crashes and I couldn't tell you which one of 200 or so mods is making me crash randomly. Thanks!

So I'm looking to do a fresh installation of mods due to a few too many crashes (and me being unable to figure out which of 150+ mods crashed the game) and I'm looking for a reliable installation guide. I know the major mods like Unofficial Patch, etc, but I'm looking for a good stable mod guide - or script/INI tweaks to help me keep everything stable. I don't mind dealing with BethINI, Wrye Bash or SEEdit, but ReSaver isn't an option (thanks Window 10) and I'll wait for Vortex and SKSE to leave Alpha before dealing with them. Thanks, Morninglight
  20. potatochip, ya get what ya pay for. I forked out on a Premium Membership to admittedly get rid of the ads. And to get a slightly higher download speed (not that it helped because I'm on speed-capped ADSL+2!). And you know what? It was worth it. The replay volume I've gotten out of Skyrim and Dragon Age because of Nexus is huge. One pound isn't that much if you want to be free of ads.
