I'm old & lazy. Sooner or later I guess I'll have to get used to Vortex. For now I still use NMM & I love it. NMM is still being unofficially updated and can be D/L from github. https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases/tag/0.65.11

No Mudbass, the 2nd child will not ALWAYS have that problem, as I've never had that problem. It's a L/O or incompatibility problem.
-
Your list isn't really all that long. You have both Immersive Citizens-AI Overhaul & AI Overhaul SSE... I think you need to choose. Most Breezehome mods need to be above Immersive Citizens AI Overhaul. RS Children complete .esp must be below WICO.esp. I used Improved Adoptions a long time ago, (in LE?) but it had so many incompatibilities & bugs at that time I never used it again. I'd disable it from L/O for a test & see what happens. Maybe try same with BH mod.
-
Adoptions work best if you adopt Lucia first & send her to Breezehome and wait until you see her there before adopting more kids. Lucia is known to be a little bugged. As you know, the adoption bug you're experiencing is a known random bug, but getting it every playthrough suggests something more going on. In all my times through, I've never experienced this bug. I've never modded Breezehome but I think maybe you'd need to use the "Bless Home" spell on it since it's modded. There is this fix for your problem: Open the console, click on problem child and type --> setav variable06 0 setav variable07 0 THEN do the same again but make the 0's into 1's. Without your LO that's all I've got.
-
First off, your problem has nothing to do with SSE. Inigo is no problem & the comfy Breezehome should be no problem. Do you use a children altering mod like TKAA? If so, the directors cut version has some specific inst. for adopting. If you have a Dwarven spider or sphere follower, that will muck adoptions up also. If you're still having problems, show us your load order.

There's a reason that old movies of sword & sorcery, like Conan, Red Sonya, Beastmaster, etc., have a little nudity & sex in them. Take that out & and make the actors look as they probably would have looked in RL and the movies would have flopped. The human sex drive is about as strong in us as the survival instinct itself. Skimpy outfits look better than something ugly like ebony armor. Emfy armor Vs. Ebony, = no contest! Many skimpy outfits look silly to me but I don't have to use them, do I? Guys like pretty girls, guys make girly outfit mods...simple! So if you don't like, just filter out adult content. Now just how many follower mods do we need to choose from???

SSE Invisible Armor & Ring of Fashion Designer Port to SSE
Baer2x4 replied to ATOMICXZOMBIEs's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Invisible armor was ported last summer; https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18472 ROFD is an oldrim mod that can be used "as is" or be loaded & saved in CK to form 44. -
If you never played Skyrim before I think you should play a near vanilla game first time through. Maybe add bug eradicator USSEP. You need to play the game vanilla to know what mods you'd like to change the game with. With mods like AFT you can have many followers, but "unlimited followers" is not possible or desirable. I don't know what you mean by unlimited weapons. Console commands & many other questions can be Googled. It'll take a little time to get used to but with your FO4 experience it should be a snap.

It's called; NPC clothes changer and maintainer. I tried the link right after I posted it & it worked but now doesn't...strange! https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11662

I use this one; https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11662 It's an oldrim mod that I always use. It's a simple .esp and It will work OK "as is" in SSE, but I gave it a quick run-through in the CK to form 44. I used it for a few playthroughs "as is" b/c I had forgot to put it through CK. Can give NPC's just about anything & lock or unlock items to that actor.

The latest version of SE is; 1.5.73, which is what you'll get D/Ling from steam. The SKSE64 for 1.5.73 is 2.0.15. It's possible to get earlier versions of SE, but then you'd also need the corresponding SKSE64 for the earlier versions... if you intend to use mods that require SKSE. Not sure which mods requiring SKSE64 have been updated for 2.0.15 yet so you'll need to check on the mod page of each one to check on the mods update date. So I think it depends on what mods you'll be using & what versions of SKSE64 you have access to.

Anybody have experience with Civil War peace/modified outcome mods?
Baer2x4 replied to Speedi77's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I've used CWN several times it keeps the Civil War away & I still get access to the word wall. -
I think your NMM version may be too out of date. You can update to 65.11 at github. https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases/tag/0.65.11

Unknown Mod causing double smithing options
Baer2x4 replied to Christscorpion's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
I may be off, but dosen't Bruma do that?I can make some Colovian armor & clothes & I think daggers & some swords at a forge in Skyrim. -
My guess is that more than 50% of game players are using one or more Nvidia cards, so the brand is not your problem. Which Nivida card are you using? Are you trying to start game modded or vanilla? Did you try R. click on the game-->properties--> run compatibility troubleshooter? I would not roll back drivers, keep latest. Maybe it's a Nivdia setting. Try going into "Nivida Control Panel", go to adjust desktop size and position under Display, then look for a check box that says, override the scaling mode set by games and programs.

General Guidance for a Controller user please?
Baer2x4 replied to neerson's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Using a controller has nothing to do with SKSE64 or SkyUI, or mods in general. I use one sometimes when I sit in a recliner & play on a large screen TV. You will have to pick up the KB every now & then, for like if you need to enter a console command but no biggie. You did D/L SKSE64 and follow the readme in the d/l & not SKSE, which is for LE, right? Don't expect to play any modded game without learning some basics. There are many tutorials you can google for that. -
Weapons cut into hip of character, please advise (SE)
Baer2x4 replied to Murielkai's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
There's no way to get 100% away from clipping. You might like one of the mods that puts swords on your back but there will be some clipping, especially with cloaks. -
I don't think 65.2 should be doing that but you could update to the latest version of NMM at github & see if it cures it. The up/down arrows are greyed out of course until you highlight a plugin. There's no reason I know of not to update NMM. You can do it here. https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases/tag/0.65.11

That mod is a simple .esp. Add it to L/O & then open Creation Kit, and when it is done loading, click "File"->"Data." In the window that opens, double click on the plugin you wish to convert, click "Set as Active File" and then click "OK." It will take a while to load up, and it will spit out numerous errors. You can ignore those. When it is finished loading, simply click "File"->"Save" and close CK. Your ESP is now saved in form 44
-
You can convert it to SE for your own personal use, just not port it for others to use. From the looks of the mod, It'd probably work in SE as is, but would be a good idea to give it a quick rinse in the CK. Add: Come to think of it Dragon's Keep may be what you need. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/271

You have many mods I'm not familiar with, like Inigoperkpointgiver. Don't see any other Inigo mods, so is that a stand-alone mod? Did you clean master files? No merged or bashed patch even though you have a lot of armor & weapon mods. USSEP is usually higher in l/o per author. You might want to reconsider the manager thing. I think it makes it all so much more simple, like all tools accessible from one place, ease of adding, & disabling or removing mods. Loot is more than just a L/O tool. As for restarting, I'd do what I could to fix what you have & see how it plays.

https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases/tag/0.65.11 The .exe here will update you to the latest NMM.

A little late here but although I never heard of your FEC mod, I would suspect it. The disintegrate perk in destruction can turn a dragon into ash pile. In case you have disintegrate perk you can remove it via console; player.removeperk 000f3f0e

You don't say which multiple kid mod, adoption or added kids, if it's your only mod, & give no load order. We need more info.
