  1. That's no longer sufficient, since you need the esm and the Interface.ba2 also.
  2. The mistake is paying for a mod in the first place when there are excellent quest mods on the nexus for free. It's just an exploitation model, courtesy of Bethesda. Well, try to contact them, if you feel like it. Chances are, you get some generic response.
  3. Look at this thread on how to roll back your game. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/8164028-since-latest-update-ctd-at-main-screen/ Sorry, you had to learn it the hard way: CC isn't worth paying for. It's not official content, but content provided by modders and provided by Bethesda without any ... cough, cough ... quality control.
  4. I'm not sure. Another poster pointed me in the right direction. To avoid further trouble, make sure to take my advice on steam settings and how to deal with them.
  5. Trouble is, for the settlement mods, there isn't one 'end-all be-all' mod that adds everything. There are many out there, and they all have some overlap. It's pretty much unavoidable. So make a decision what you actually need on a daily basis and what you only file under nice to have. I don't use anything else than Sim Settlements.
  6. an .exe backup only isnt enough best is to rollback and backup the fallout .exe .esm and in the actual case the _interface.ba2 Thanks, wasn't aware of that. I just backed up the esm and the interface ba2. Just in case, steam would roll back on my settings, which happens off and on.
  7. It's only creation club updates these days. Only monetarizing instead of improving. Just set steam to "only update when game is started" and only use F4SE and you should be on the save side. Apart from that, always store your game exe, so you can roll back in case of accidents.
  8. Depends on from where you approach Ada. The ensuing battle you witness is very hardware demanding. If you got a weak card and too high video settings, you crash, since there are so many special effects to process at once.
  9. Doesn't have to be a mod. It can be virtually anything, starting with driver issues and ending with faulty hardware. I had similar crashes for a pretty long time. Google the exact error and see what solutions are brought up and if anything helps you. In my case I had to underlock my GPU to stop it from happening. But I have no issue whatsoever since I bought a new video card. The old one seemed to have run on the last straw.
  10. The short answer to your question. Yes, it is easy to install mods. And no, it's not that easy to make them work. You have to observe load order as well as conflicts. Such as not installing mods that basically modify the same aspects of the game.
  11. Outer worlds needs its own thread, but given it's Obsidian, I suspect it more of a New Vegas attitude, considering what they were aiming at. I would be careful with Obsidian also. The last two titles didn't live up to it's former glory and they're now part of Microsoft. So I say, wait and see before purchasing something that's rather Microoft in terms of creativity.
  12. Wow, that's some necro, if there ever was one. No, there aren't any visible or transferable caps in the player inventory. Never have been, far as I remember. They only show up in workbenches under MISC, if the settlements earn them. Also in NPCs inventories.
  13. Corrected. Look, guise, we need to seriously troll-slam this. I haven't bought FO76, since I'm not interested in multiplayer shooters anyway. I want solid single player games and the occasional realistic racer experience, such as the good old GPL from 1998, that's still modded today. I've got zero interest in being called dick, homo or motherf*#@er by preteens, which is the experience I've taken from playing GTAV online. So Bugthesdas efforts to make me buy this crap are lost on me anyway.
  14. That happens to many of us. A lag, maybe three or four seconds until everything is loaded. But that's it. Not a complete lockup. That's a hardware issue and/or to high ingame settings.
  15. Sim settlements will definetely bring you to the knees of your specs. Even on lowest settings. Your card isn't fit to run the game. Face it. I wonder why anyone buys a 2GB card these days. It's not up to run any modern game.
  16. I don't know the settings you're playing with, but a 2GB card is on the lowest end of the spectrum to keep FO4 afloat. Hardly keeps it going, I'd say and I'm surprised you even can enjoy the game.
  17. And that's the problem of the whole industry. Beancounters instead of creatives calling the shots. They're corporations now, selling cheap crap.
  18. It's the strategy of all AAA developers these days. Turn games into what they call a "service" or an "experience", which, of course only Multiplayer can provide and milk the dolts out of their last penny. With Loot Boxes, (Copyright EA - "surprise mechanics") microtransactions, ingame shops like CC and every other tool that promises a dime. As long as the players don't vote with their feet, this will continue and this will get worse. I fear we've seen the last of quality games.
  19. Why did anyone pay for FO76 in the first place? That whole mutliplayer shabang from most studios is just a big fat scam. Loot boxes galore from EA, Microtransactions, the whole deal. I never even felt tempted to buy FO76, since I want a game and not what they call a "service" or an "experience".
  20. I'm using the unlimited settlement supply surplus mod and had at times over 10K of purified water in my workbench. No problems at all.
  21. Fact is, your GPU as well as your CPU aren't suited for this game. I don't know what you mean by having played the strongest game, since it's very much dependent on the engine being used. For this game, far as I see it, you're below the minimum requirements.
  22. That's one area many of us have problems with. There are many objects to load into your GPU's memory and the low FPS issue usually goes away after the few seconds it takes to load everything into memory. If it doesn't, you probably have your settings to high to manage by your system.
  23. No, it's not that simple. The uniform mod uses symbols that are forbidden in many European countries. This is a live-event, so to speak. But once again, it's a single player game and it's your choice what makes it's way into your data folder. Apart from the fact that only China would take issue with Hong Kong symbolism.
  24. You can bring up the same argument with this mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1164 It features nazi symbols that are outright forbidden in many european countries. It's a single player game, so noone really cares, I would say. Ultimately the player decides on what makes it's way into their data folder.
