If you looted the key off their bodies, yeah you don't need to pick. However I am not sure if the NPC houses are noresetzones. I don't think they are. If you go into CK and set them to be noresetzones, yeah you can use them.

missing models after merging armor mods
chanchan05 replied to willdoucet's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
How exactly did you merge? What script did you use? I've merged armor models willy-nilly and having no problem using Merge Script 1.65, but then I'm not adding them to a leveled list. -
Did you read my previous post? The order which you did things was wrong: 1. Install the mods and patches 2. Make sure that the patches are in the correct order and up to date (DO NOT USE qotsafan's patches, DO NOT USE Balbor and Steel Souls), use Xathra's patches, and follow instructions carefully. There's an additional postreproccer patches and you need gruffy's CCOR patches if you use that. BOSS and LOOT don't place the patches correctly. You need to make a custom user rule. 3. Run reproccer. Weapon values going down in the middle of a fight is normal. In SkyRe, as you stamina decreases (which happens every time you swing a weapon), your damage multiplier decreases.
-
You need to place the reproccer patches correctly in your load order first, then run reproccer after placing the patches.some patches need to go before or after reproccer. Also since reproccer uses BOSS, any change you made manually is recommended to be added to the BOSS userlist rules.

Actually it can be an indicator. If the OP's computer is reading onky 4GB used overall, that means Windows+processes+Skyrim is hitting just 4GB,which is unlikely since Windows likes to eat as much RAM as it can due to superfetching. His PC should be using more than 4GB total RAM when he is running skyrim. As for doubting about people adding more than 4GB RAM on 32bit OS systems, you would be surprised at how many people do so because they don't know the difference.
-
That's weird. TCIY does not add battles. I doesn't even add any NPC or spawns.
-
You didn't run reproccer I'd think. Reproccer is supposed to fix the stats, but that only happens when you run the reproccer patcher program so that Reproccer will detect what mods you have and add them to the stats.xml file for Skyre, altering their values. You have to run reproccer.jar, it's in your Skyrim Data folder, under SkyProc Patchers. That will edit the Reproccer patch. Then you need the patches for SkyRe for several mods. You need the Immersive Armors patch by Xathra for example.

Meh, you don't even need to know how to use TESVEdit to use it to check for missing masters. LOL. And how are you going to become an experienced user unless you don't dabble? :)

Please read the link I first posted. Seriously. How are we even going to know what mod is causing it when you don't even post what mods you have? There are hundreds of mods that can possibly cause your issue.
-
Missing master, not necessarily an esm file. Some esp files can be masters of other mods. Load up TESVEdit and just click OK. It will stop and give you an error message when it tries to load the mod causing the problem. Check the last line of the log, and that's the mod you're looking for.

If you have no mods, you'd probably have to set Skyrim to revert to full vanilla install. You may have borked it for some reason: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again

In the CK, to make things not "float", press F when they are selected. That will settle them on the floor/item underneath them. Whenever you adjust an item in the CK, do that. Anyway, I have no idea to do that in console and I don't think it's possible.

@dwellufool - you do have to re-hire any NPC after dismissal. @bben46 - if NPC is dead, command order is: PRID MovetoPlayer Resurrect Enable
-
I wonder if he even came back to check on what we posted though.

If your computer is using just 4GB entirely, I think you have a 32bit OS? No matter how much RAM you put on a 32bit version of an OS, it will only see just around 4GB, all the rest of the RAM is useless. So what's happening is your system, (Windows would use 1GB, then the other background processes you use like dropbox, GDrive, Outlook, antivirus, etc will use some) is probably using around 1.5-2GB, then you're just giving Skyrim 2GB. If you aren't using ENBoost, Skyrim mirrors VRAM contents on RAM, increasing usage. This can cause stutters. @OrganicView - nope. You're mistaken. RAM can affect performance. If you have a lot of texture mods and no ENBoost, VRAM usage is mirrored on volatile RAM. Then if you have mods, their placed on RAM as well. In fact, I have two laptops: HP with a 1st gen i5, 6GB RAM and a 1GB ATi Mobility Radeon HD 5470 GPU, and ASUS with a 4th gen i5, 4GB RAM and a 2GB GT 720M Nvidia GPU. Despite the massive performance increase with the newer GPU and CPU, the ASUS laptop gets stability issues more often because I keep on hitting the RAM limit due to a heavy mod built which needs more than 2.5GB RAM allowed me (since Windows and everything else uses up 1-1.5GB). Although the issue with it having only 4GB RAM is because it has only one slot and looking for an 8GB DDR3L unit isn't easy in my country.

I can get Skyrim to run faster? I have all the details
chanchan05 replied to simsrocks808's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
You need a better laptop if you want to make Skyrim look better. Your laptop is already below minimum requirements for the game with regards to the GPU. The one you have is no better than an Intel Integrated 4500 HD. -
@Velve - Sands of Time also does that. Immersive Battles don't trigger in towns.

How can I figure out what causes CTD on Death?
chanchan05 replied to Deleted5094879User's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Well, we need your current load order in a BOSS log. Well, LOOT has a log too. If you mean your load order was set by LOOT, then use the LOOT log and post it here. I've tried LOOT before and it essentially posts the same messages as a BOSS log. However I must also mention that for large load orders (more than 50 plugins), LOOT is very problematic. I tried using LOOT on my load order and it basically messed a lot of things up. A number of mods I know that SHOULD be loaded last (based on both authors recommendation and what I found after opening it up in TESVEdit) were being loaded up very high, near the esm in fact. If you mean to say that your load order is manually arranged, you need to to go into BOSS or LOOT user rules and enter rules regarding your changes, so that running either program will load the plugins to your own personal arrangement. For example, using the BOSS latest masterlist, I have actually 75 unrecognized plugins. I use custom user rules and BOSS now reports only 7 unrecognized ones (which are inactive anyway) -
Enemies won't attack and a few other issues as well.

Forgot to reply to this one. Possible cause is too many NPCs in a cell. Download the Artificial Intelligence Limit Increaser mod by Tonycubed -
How can I figure out what causes CTD on Death?
chanchan05 replied to Deleted5094879User's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Uh, even if you're using MO you should be using BOSS. I've done in on MO before. If you aren't, that may be the cause of your CTD: bad load order. You run BOSS from inside MO and it's still going to give you a BOSS log. -
What I've noticed is that because shadows get darker and more pronounced with ENBs, it causes that effect. And since I run on a laptop, the performance decrease I get from an ENB is something I'd rather not have. So your choice probably would be to not use an ENB in that case, or use a shader or ENB preset which makes the world a bit brighter then inlcude a "realistic lighting mod" so that it would sort of cancel out.

I don't think it can be done in-game. It takes about 2min in the creation kit though.
-
It may not happen immediately as well. It could happen 1 hour later, or 10hrs, but it could potentially render the save unplayable.
