  1. I just double-checked & my path is correct. I forgot to include the Data in my previous reply. This is what my path looks like in the Vortex dashboard: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe\ (Target) D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\ (Start In) ff7legend
  2. FNIS was installed using Vortex & I placed a shortcut to FNIS on my taskbar directly from D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\tools\GenerateFNISforUsers\ ff7legend
  3. D:\Vortex Mods\SkyrimSE is where my Staging Folder is located. Hardlink Deployment is selected. Both FNIS Target & Start In fields are the same as yours... I use Windows Defender but cannot find anything relating to Controlled Folder Access. ff7legend
  4. This sounds like an issue with incompatible textures/facegendata.... Do you guys have ANY MODS installed that alter the Ivarstead cell/add NPCs/followers to the Ivarstead cell in any way/shape/form? If so, I would start there. Certain texture compression methods WILL NOT WORK for Skyrim SE due to the drastic changes made between game versions. Specifically, Skyrim SE uses DX11 vs Skyrim LE's ancient OUTDATED DX9.0c. Also, check the facegeom for any NPCs/followers one may have installed. Far too often I've come across certain follower/NPC replacer mods that have Skyrim LE facegendata that has not been properly converted to SSE, which in turn will most certainly cause CTD upon entrance into the cell where the follower/NPC using incompatible facegendata is located. I've not once had issues with CTD in/around Ivarstead after cleaning the master files (Update.esm/the DLCs). ff7legend
  5. That setting is already turned off. I never use the Revert option. I hit the Save Change option & yet the game refuses to load/start a new game after each session in Vortex. The only workaround I have is reinstalling XPMSSE/re-running FNIS, which fixes the issue. As for the staging folder, I have no idea what that is, let alone where it is... ff7legend
  6. Vortex keeps DESTROYING my FNIS/XPMSSE installs. Every time I launch the program, the program causes FNIS/XPMSSE to no longer work & cause the game to CTD on load/New Game. This is beyond ridiculous & the only workaround I've found thus far is to totally REINSTALL XPMSSE & rerun FNIS after each session in Vortex. I should not have to do this but Vortex forces my hand since the game will not run after opening Vortex in any way/shape/form. Vortex needs to STOP SCANNING for external changes made to FNIS since all this accomplishes is a corrupted FNIS installation/CTD on load/New Game. I'm tired of having to fight with Vortex utterly destroying my FNIS files. No offense but whomever thought it a great idea for vortex to scan FNIS files for external changes KNOWING FULL & WELL the GenerateFNISforUsers.exe will need to be run in order to properly generate behavior files needs to rethink this. I never once had this issue when using NMM but for whatever reason, Vortex insists upon DESTROYING my FNIS/XPMSSE files. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can get Vortex to stop mucking up my FNIS/XPMSSE files, I'm all ears. As it stands now, my Skyrim SE rebuild has slowed to a crawl since I'm having to battle Vortex & its propensity to destroy FNIS/XPMSSE each time I open the program... ff7legend
  7. In response to post #84076038. #84076428 is also a reply to the same post. Understood & thank you.
  8. In response to post #84075668. #84076498 is also a reply to the same post. Folks like you are exactly why mod authors close up shop & leave the Nexus...
  9. Very important question - How will we play Skywind alongside Skyrim? I'm going to assume the original Morrowind game/expansions will be required (Yes, I have a LEGIT COPY of Morrowind GOTY Edition bought via Steam for $10.00 several years back) in order to play... Some clarification on how Skywind & Skyrim will run together would be nice.
  10. When is the crash occurring? At the Bethesda logo, the main menu, or when loading a save/starting a new game?
  11. If I select New Game from the main menu, create a new character, then hit Pause, select Load & load the last save I just made, the game loads my save just fine. Still doesn't explain why the game CTDs when Continue is selected...
  12. Azrael0610: You're obviously not cleaning the master files properly. I have zero issues going to Falkreath or any other city in the game & I have over 1,800 Active Mods installed. If the game CTDs after cleaning the master files (Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm, Hearthfires.esm, & Dragonborn.esm), you obviously aren't cleaning the master files properly. Have you tried watching one of GamerPoet's videos regarding the proper way to clean the master files. The cleaning process has changed with the newer versions of SSE Edit. Manual cleaning is now obsolete in favor of Quick Auto Clean since Quick Auto Clean is more thorough & cleans out things that are missed with manual cleaning... You're obviously not doing something right & I strongly recommend you heading over to YouTube & search GamerPoets' videos for a tutorial on how to properly clean your master files using SSE Edit's Quick Auto Clean function... ff7legend
  13. For whatever reason, my game refuses to load any save I make after exiting to the desktop. When I click Continue, the game acts like it is loading the save & upon loading, instant CTD. However, if I delete the latest save & reload from a save made prior to the latest save I made, the game loads just fine. I have no idea what would cause this & would appreciate any help on this subject. I have .NET Script Framework installed but no crash log is ever created when the game CTDs after attempting to load my latest save...
  14. Stretched hair/cloth/breasts & invisible character models are all hallmark issues of HDT PE/SMP... Not much can be done to fix this on the SSE side of things I'm afraid. There was a fix for the stretching issues in LE but it was removed from the Nexus for whatever reason. Doesn't help the SSE issue though since Skyrim LE HDT won't work on SSE nor will it ever... ff7legend
  15. Never mind. Figured out the cause of my CTD issue in Gyldenhul Barrow - Septim HD... Specifically, the coin pile meshes were the culprits. Removing said mod fixed my issue. ff7legend
  16. For whatever reason, I cannot get past the locked wooden door inside Gyldenhul Barrow without a CTD... This happens during the Deathbrand quest. I'm hoping someone can help decipher my .NET Script Framework crash log to figure out why I keep getting a CTD in this cell: I've been trying to fix this issue for HOURS on end with no luck... The only two mods I have installed that modify anything within this cell are Babes of Skyrim SE & Bloody Scythe and Soulrender Reborne. Please help.
  17. Or, people could just install Skyrim Exe Auto Backup and not have to freak out about every update. Instead, just restore the EXE from the backup folder when the update is detected, and play your game with your current versions of SKSE64, and all of your mods until they all get updated. Locking Steam down in Offline Mode is much simpler/far more convenient for me... I don't play/game online at all. 100% offline gaming for me. I don't have time for all the trolls & other riff raff that lurk across various online games.
  18. Bethesda just deployed a new update for Skyrim SE folks... Better back up your games/lock Steam down in Offline Mode...
  19. In response to post #73996753. Be careful... Bethesda may lock ES6 modding behind Creation Club/their crappy launcher & therefore lock out the use of an ES6 script extender...
  20. In response to post #73980503. #73981973, #73982843, #73984443 are all replies on the same post. How does disabling ads for mod authors interfere with Premium membership? The biggest benefit to having a Premium membership is unlimited download speeds... Disabling ads for mod authors does not change the fact that Premium membership is still required in order to have uncapped download speeds... I bought a lifetime Premium membership for U.S $85.00 a few years ago in an effort to bypass the broken regular servers/CDN we were stuck with back in the day. Several years ago, the servers wouldn't work half the time & when Nexus finally ditched their old data cluster in favor of the current CDN, there were still issues with downloads via the CDN during high traffic times so I spent the U.S $85.00 for a lifetime Premium membership. No ads & uncapped download speeds are a win win for me while also giving my support to the Nexus via a one-off U.S $85.00 payment, which is the best deal in the long run when it comes to purchasing Premium membership...

Not everyone likes the increasing migration of various websites to a so-called "smartphone" interface either. I'm with Clanggedin on this one... We could do without the smartphone interface, thank you. I don't mod games/visit the Nexus sites on a smartphone/tablet nor do I ever plan to. Sometimes it's best to stop tinkering & leave things well enough alone... This is one of those times IMHO...
  22. Racemenu was recently updated to version 4.8. Try that & see what happens. If that fails, try disabling Face Overlays in skee64.ini: bEnableFaceOverlays=0
  23. Not that hard to port most mods from Oldrim to Skyrim SE yourself. Just need the SSE CK & SSE NIF Optimizer...
  24. In response to post #72621628. #72623023 is also a reply to the same post. Thanks for that link. Will try the 1.5.62 update first & if everything works as it should, I'll then update my Skyrim SE to 1.5.80 followed up by updating all my SKSE64-dependent mods..
