i totally agree and thats why i didnt upgrade to ae , fishing and some horse armor basically all you get , why mess up a perfectly good working mod list for that ? simple choice for most of us

might help to go into task manager click options and click always on top so itll always be showing when you press cntrl alt del and when game freezes up youll be able to end the process without having to restart

sounds pretty weird , i never had those type problems with my followers aside from them bumping into me in tight spaces like taverns and sometimes blocking doors till they finally move around me but they never run past me or get lost or fall behind more than 5 or 10 foot behind me always , maybe its not the followers but some mod that your using that makes them do that ? im not sure but i think theres a mod that prevents you from being pushed around by others , maybe try a diff follower program i use Ufo but theres others that may work better for you theres nethers follower framework , amazing follower tweaks , and extensible follower framework and others id try one of those and see if they help if not it may be due to some other mod your using

totally agree thats why i didnt update , to many mods not working havent been updated or wont get updated for new skse , ill stay n 1597 my game is stable and runs just fine and i never cared about fishing

i think so , not 100% sure though may have to change a few lines in the manifest as well but id try it your way first and see , theres a pinned guide telling how to roll back here if it helps

sounds like it might be a problem with a mod that corrupted your saves , id run loot check it and run the game without any mods and see if it works

sounds like a mod problem , might help to go thru your list and deactivate them 2-3 at a time till it loads

that depends which companions do you use ? and what do you mean by mistreated and abused

i think it mostly just adds in the fishing ability , not worth it imo

i have a ring i use for this when i equip it it gives me diff powers , one for increasing and decreasing bust size and another for increasing and decreasing butt size , works great and i get the proportions just right and save it and the changes stay , it works on all npcs/followers

wouldnt risk upgrading if you have a stable functional game

id stay on 1597 se , to many mods havent been updated yet and many more wont ever be due to mod authors leaving months/years ago , if you have a fully functional game with mods atm i wouldnt bother upgrading and breaking your game/save file over a update mainly based around fishing , the risk simply outweigh the reward here specially if you use any obscure/older mods

wouldnt update ever , no need my setup runs fine and i dont like fishing

Just check out Gophers modding channel on youtube youll learn everything you can possibly want to know and more there and he can show you step by step its much easier than trying to explain it here

when i was completley new to modding and didnt know a single thing about it i got on youtube and found this guys step by step guides showing me how to download a mod manager and what one to download and how to install it properly and how to use it step by step and how to download and use mods and about the diff types of mods etc i learned evrything i know from him , id link his channel but idk if its allowed here but go to youtube and type in Gopher Se modding or such and his channel and videos should come up but if i can help you also i will , do you use discord ?

if u got a stable game now and your mods work fine dont download the update , itll just wreck your game and youll end up regretting it

alot of my mods i use hasnt been updated as well , some hasnt been updated since 2019 and others wont be cause the mod authors quit modding or turned theyre mods over to someone else so if i updated to ae id be losing a perfectly setup skyrim as well as access to many of the mods that have been abandoned and will never be updated , I still have a perfectly preserved vanilla skyrim ver 1597 thanks to Mo2 and its virtual directory i just kept my steam offline mode for the last year , since you already updated though i highly suggest just using the tool on here and rolling back to the other version and enjoying the game again like you once did , youll be glad you did after doing it when your able to use all your favorite mods again , alot of the popular ones have been updated already for it but you and me both know that they all wont be updated and unless you roll back youll never get to experience the game as you once did and ever truly be happy playing it whether it be 3 or 6 months from now
