  1. I hate KB and mouse too. Gamepad ++ will do what you want -you can set up 8 SkyUI equip groups F1-F8 then favorite the shield and spells/ and add them to the groups as per using the keyboard.Once your done, goto GP++ MCM menu and set up the bindings to emulate F1-F8 key presses. Could also set up hotkeys 1-8 as well so you could change shield for different situations.Use Auto Input Switch so you dont need to unplug controller.
  2. Since you didnt post your mods installed it will have to be a wild stab in the dark with an iron dagger. The only mod that i know of that causes this issue is ENB Input disabler (SKSE plugin)but 1.6 1170 game version only(player cannot move permanently most of keyboard/gamepad functions dont work) It has since been fixed-- so if installed do you have latest version. Also heard of this happening when the game has been downgraded to an earlier version. But since i never do that i dont know if there is a workaround /fix for that
  3. CK is only avaiable for steam version of game and can only be downloaded from steam store. I dont know whats difficult about loading a plugin into the creation kit and saving it to update form version and file headers. Its probaly the simplest thing you can do in the CK. Dont use SSEedit, CK is only thing that will do it properly.
  4. Rich Khajiit Caravan Merchants has another mod as a master requirement -Rich Skyrim Merchants which isnt included in the upload .But if you go to the other mods page it has passed the virus scan. Files are auto scanned by the website before they are published.
  5. You have the correct version of skse for 1.6 1170 but the wrong version of (part 1) SSE Engine Fixes. 1.6.629-1.6.640 You need part 1 for 1.6.1170 and newer. Steam needs to be running /then launch the game via skse64_loader
  6. Theres a pdf tutorial download on the nexus here Recent forum thread has some info on this as well It seems it is possible to get xEdit and creation kit to work these days in linux. Also MO2 mod manager.
  7. You need SkyUI SE difficulty persistence fix, its one of the things the new game update broke.
  8. It looks as though the modding side of things has improved quite a lot since the last time i tried,Thanks for the link to your tutorial it will be usefull when i move to linux. My computer isnt supported by Win 11 so will have to switch when Win 10 ends. Debian stable probably wasnt the best choice since its not exactly cutting edge.Played around with a live disk of Fedora that seems to be more up to date.
  9. Theres a global value called TimeScale which can be found using SSEedit or CK.I got it wrong its 20 minutes not 30. So for 2 game hours its 6 minutes That value can be changed ,because i noticed the mod Requiem has reduced that down to 10 minutes. It will show in game as real time 6 minutes, not game time -2hours
  10. In skyrim 1 minute = 20 game minutes so for 2 game hours ,set the duration to 6 minutes. Durations have always been real time, not game time.
  11. Interesting.the last time i tried a linux install (about 18 months ago with Debian) i tried that script but couldnt get MO2 to work properly Skyrim SE ran fine with Steam Proton and was able to mod manually.I couldnt get SKSE or SSEedit to work either and i dont think the CK will ever work. Win 10 support ends oct/25 and i will probaly switch to linux so im hoping the modding tools side of things will have improved further..Its a shame theres not many posts about the current state of gaming on linux so thanks for the info.
  12. Have you tried either of these fixes for SkyUi Quest Journal Fix Skui SE Difficulty Persistence fix
  13. No longer needed with 1.6.1170 update + https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/67166 Or you could load SkyUI plugin into SSEEdit and add skyrim esm as a master easily yourself.
