  1. I apologize if this isn't posted in the right location, I'll move it if requested. Like many people, when fallout 4 was announced, I decided to play fallout 3 again. Which is cool, because my archaic laptop can run it decently on a medium graphical setting. More on that in a second. I need assistance with a port I am building of New Vegas assets for fallout 3. Specifically, I need the .nif or mesh file for the female variant Slave Scarf, because I'd like to add it to fallout three. I added a picture of it below. Its a cool scarf. I'd like to use it as apart of my mod. On a better computer, I could just download New Vegas, and just extract the nif from the BSA, and bring it into Fallout 3, no problem. On this computer, its one game or the other. I've been trying to hunt down the actual Nif for the slave scarf on the nexus. Sadly, it is absent If anyone could point me in the direction of resources that might have what Im looking for, or even just send me the nif itself, so I can bring it to the capital wasteland, that would be greatly appreciated. If you want to send me the nif, feel free to privately message me. Thank you for any assistance your able to provide. - Dala
  2. Howdy! I apologize if this isn't posted to the right forum, if not, let me know and I'll be happy to move the topic. I am currently doing a few high res retuxtures/ re-colors of the wedding wreath, but I'm having trouble extracting the file via BSA unpacker, my unpacker isn't working properly. While I trouble shoot that I was wondering if someone with could extract send me the weddingwreath.dds and the normal maps, anyone who may have used it in a previous mod of their own, or anyone who has a working BSA unpacker, a little time, and stars in their eyes, who might be willing to help me out, please let me know through private message, it would be greatly appreciated. :) Thank you!
  3. I apologize if this isn't in the right forum, I was unsure of where to post this, if it is a problem, let me know and I'd be more then happy to move it. So, I've been having issues with nifskope for months, in that I cannot get it to run on my computer anymore. No idea why. It immediately crashes to desktop giving me the same error. While I trouble shoot that, I have a small article of clothing I have created multiple retextures of. But, seeing that I cannot open nifskope, I cannot connect the textures to the meshes. Therefore, as a last resort and itching to use my new textures, and possibly release them on the nexus, I was wondering if someone with a working copy of NifSkope could do me a favor by connecting these textures for me. I just thought I'd throw it out there, see if anyone was willing to help me. Its really simple, I just can't open nifskope. private message me if you are interested in helping me out - Dala
  4. I'm not sure if this has been asked for yet, but I'm currently working on a player home project that involves EXTENSIVE gardens, and I would really really like to add red roses to these gardens. As far as I know, no rose resource has been added (if it has, please, let me know where I can find it!) and I'm not confident enough in my modeling abilities to make one my self. Single red roses, and rose bushes would be a fantastic addition to the flora of tamriel. I'm really only currently looking for static meshes. So I thought I would request red roses. In addition to this, I'd really like to see the wedding wreath retextured to be red, rather then white. I know that apcahiis lovely hair mod included a red version of the wedding wreath on one of the hair sets. I'd love to see that retexture in skyrim. If anyone thinks they could help me out, please, let me know here or over PM, I would deeply appreicate it, thanks :) - Dala
  5. In response to post #7538860. You aren't alone. I can't either :(
  6. I can't remove anything since this update without NMM freezing. I dont even run that many mods. Anyone else having this problem?
  7. hah, I know right? You do totally look like a cueball when you wear a hood. I believe grace darkling has created a hood with hair to remedy the problem. I'm not sure if this has been requested literally dozens of times before (if so I'm sorry) and if there aren't any mods that have wigs, I assume its probably for a reason. But, I thought I'd bump the thread again -just in case-. Magic!
  8. Same issue here. Bumping the thread again! Natildes lovely companion tutorial ends at how to make custom armor texes and the like. ideas?
  9. ah, thank you so much. This is exactly what I was looking for! You're the best :) - Dala
  10. You're the best! this is exactly what I need :)
  11. Having lamented over the fact that the "Haughty Elf" Male and female voice types do not have follower or marriage dialogue/voice files attached to them, therefore having no respective follower responses when you ask them to trade gear with or wait somewhere, etc. I had begun to wonder if it might be possible to replace these missing responses (marriage/gear trading/waiting/doing something) with other lines of dialogue and voice files. I don't know enough about dialogue scripting to make something like that happen, but I have seen it done before with unique-voiced followers. I'd like to know how to script unique dialogue using this voice type, in general. I'd like to replace those missing voice files for the High elf male and female voice types to create fully voice high elf followers, with no missing lines of dialogue. I haven't the foggiest notion of how this might be done, but I know its doable. If anyone would be so kind as to point me toward a tutorial that explains what it is I'm asking or feels like taking the time out to explain it themselves, i'd be much obliged. Thank you. - Dala
  12. Hello! Thank you for this clever thread :) I feel like in the past I saw a mod for wearable shoulder birds, but there's an equal chance I just dreamed it. Does such a thing exist? Having a shoulder bird would be rad! - Dala
  13. This is only my second post on the forums. I've recently begun modding but have been appreciating the lovely works of modders for some time now. I'm not sure how the request process works, but I figured if I threw it out into the universe then maybe magical things could occur, planets might align, friendships, adventures and the like. Any chance of bringing wigs back? And/or is anyone working on anything like that/does anything like that exist? I don't know anything about texturing, (or I'd probably be working on something like that myself) but its just a thought. I think it would definitely make life easier for fickle people (such as myself) who like to flip back and forth between hairs, and a good work around for people experiencing problems opening their race menu or accessing face sculptor in dawngaurd just to change their hair. I know that Apachii has wigs for helmets, which is rad. But how about full wigs? Just a thought. <3 - Dala
  14. Alright, after trying both methods as specified, I still have not been able to get the custom hair to show up on my custom NPC. :( The hair shows up on her in creation kit, and I have the morph data for her face, everything is importing except for the custom hair (the hair is still set to default in the head parts menu) I really do appreciate everyone taking the time to explain it to me, I'm at a loss as to why my npc isn't showing up with the hair. I am unsure of what it is I'm doing/not doing thats preventing the custom hair from showing up on my NPC. I'm working with skyrim creation kit, and if another program would make this simpler, I would gladly download it. (provided its free) Lovely hairstyles is an ESP and so is my NPC. When my NPC is in the creation kit after setting her file to active and selecting skyrim, skyrim update, lovelyhairtstyle and my npc (setting that file to active) everything loads up. I import the face morph data (that has been saved in skyrim console command under spf hername ) her face shows up, but the hair is set to default in the head parts data. (and I have been hitting CTRL+f4 after importing her face data) If I go into game, she has the default hair (no black face bug) Now, if I were to change her hair in the head parts data, the hairstyle I do want will show up on her in the render window. But, if I change it that way (hitting CTRL+F4 after words) She still has default hair, but with the black face bug. That got a little rambly, but I wanted to explain my process. If I can figure this out, I think I'll make a tutorial on it because a tutorial for this would be mega-handy. I thank everyone for their replies and their input. If anyone could tell me what it is I'm doing wrong I'd be grateful. ^.^
  15. Thank you so much for your reply! This how I created the follower I'm currently working on :) will these steps help me give me custom follower custom hair?
  16. **Edit: I figured out how to make the esm from lovely hairstyles esp using wrye bash, I've loaded the ESM in CK and I changed my followers hair, but It still isn't showing up in game :(. I feel like I'm overlooking something. If anyone could give me any ideas as to what it is I need to rectify this issue, I would be grateful! Thank you!
  17. Thank you so much for your input! I really appreciate your help and will look into what you've told me here.
  18. If there already has been a thread discussing this at length I would totally appreciate a link to it. Thanks again
  19. This is my first post on the nexus forums, I've been modding my game for a while and have just recently begun learning how to create my own mods. I'm still a beginner, but I'm a quick study, and I've hit a snag and needed some advice from more experienced modders if anyone would be so kind as to help me on my current project. I wanted to start by thanking all of the modders on nexus for all of the wonderful work they do. Your creativity, imagination and vision never ceases to amaze me. Its genuinely inspires me to see into peoples own vision of Skyrim and how they put that vision across to each other. So again, seriously, thanks for being so awesome. ^.^ Now for my question: I have created my own custom follower. She exists as her own ESP and works just fine (with very basic AI) I would like to give my custom NPC a hairstyle from lovely hairstyles (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7403) rather then apachii. I have seen other peoples custom NPCs with custom hair that wasn't apachiis hair set. If there is a tutorial floating around that instructs on how to do this, I haven't seen it! I know how to change hair on a vanilla NPC to a custom hair mod in the creation kit, I just don't know how to do the same for my custom follower. I have been browsing the forums, I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything solid. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. - Dala
