  1. I have not seen a Maximillan armor mod on Nexus. The Witcher 2 Style Dawnguard and Standard Heavy Plate mod by LordBaraban has a nice set of Gothic heavy steel plate armor with a worn and weathered look - it is not fancy, but it looks like what a well equipped adventurer would wear. I have seen one other Gothic Plate Armor mod by The SHOCKER, but it is very, very shiny and does not appear to be quite finished, without tassets and without steel gauntlets. Another mod with nice heavy European Medieval style armor (not exactly historically accurate - it is ported from Oblivion) is Knights of the Nine by maty743. For a 13th Century English heavy knight look, I have heard of the Knights of the Garter mod, but I have not tried it yet.
  2. You are in luck. The best Selene follower I have seen is Selene - Vampiric Companion - Kate Beckinsale Tribute by FalmerBane. Her outfit mod is Selene by Neo.
  3. Some ideas: Male: Aragorn Ranger ArmorBosmer Armor Pack Female: Grace Darking's Ranger ArmorNoldorian Ranger Armour (retexture of Grace Darking's Ranger Armor)Triss Armor Retextured The Immersive Armors mod has a variety of armors that the character can come across, for both male and female. If you like chainmail for a more historical European look, NorseViking Armor II has both mail and female armor versions, in both light and heavy types.
  4. For an LOTR elfy look, try Noldor Content Pack or Bosmer Armor Pack by Maty743. For a female ranger type, try Grace Darkling's Ranger Armor (classed as "light" armor, but has ridiculously high stats), or it's retexture, Noldorian Ranger Armor - Standalone. I've used these on vanilla and CBEE followers without a problem.
  5. "Many of the good mods have already been made..." True, but there is a staggering current selection to choose from. Thanks to the modders for keeping Skyrim alive past it's expected life span! Custom AI and custom voiced follower mods are rare, apparently because they are a lot of work. There are several mature women follower mods using vanilla AI and vanilla voices that work just fine. If you have the Dawnguard DLC, I'd recommend Serana as a follower - she's been around for hundreds of years. If you aren't fond of her vanilla appearance, there is a Seranaholic appearance replacer mod, as well as FalmerBanes - Serana of Volkihar appearance replacer (and many others). I'm also fond of good 'ol vanilla Lydia. My last recommendation is the Interesting NPCs mod, which has potential follower NPCs - about half of them female. Your character comes across them as he travels.
  6. I'd also add Shelyn, Elven Follower Aranya, FR Girl Followers, Olivia Wilde, Chaconne, Tocatta, Vivace, Ilatria, Yennefer of Vengerberg, & Cerilla (Ceri) Fiona Elen Riannon. There are so many it's hard to choose. If you use the UFO follower framework mod, it includes a dialogue option "You are important" where you can toggle the follower's Essential setting on or off, making previously immortal followers mortal (they can die). If dying is a problem, there is the FCResurrect spell mod, which is a more-lore friendly way to bring your dearly departed back to life.
  7. Less Sexy Armor Redux appears to have disappeared from Nexus. For Knights of the Nine, copy & paste does not work well for me, so just search for Knights of the Nine by Maty743.
  8. If you search Nexus Skyrim mod Files in both categories Companions - Other and Followers, then sort by Most Endorsed, there are many, many follower mods of all kinds to choose from, for a variety of personal tastes. If you are looking for a mature female follower, I'd recommend Arissa the Wandering Rogue (custom voice and AI), Braithwen Fernleaf, Maerwen Briarthorne, Proserpine, and Uthegerd Kriegswolf - Attractive but Lore-Friendly Replacer, to name a few. In addition, the excellent SkyDream follower sets are beautiful, but don't look like teenagers. Just equip them with some sensible armor, give them good weapons, and off you go - Good hunting!
  9. The Less Sexy Armor Redux mod replaces vanilla armors (including Steel Plate Armor) with versions that fit the female frame. My character have some female followers with the CBEE frame, and they look fine. The Kinghts of the Nine mod has a heavy armor set (ported from Oblivion) that looks a bit bulky on a vanilla framed female - it might look fine on CBEE.
  10. I'm no modder, but I am surprised that no one has created a Rey follower mod, character, or face preset for Skyrim yet. The movie comes out on Blue Ray tomorrow in the US - perhaps that will inspire some talented modder....
  11. I think the Immersive Armors mod has a Barbarian Armor set that comes close.
  12. There are several LOTR/Middle Earth mods on Nexus. You may be able to contact the mod authors for permission to reuse some of their stuff so you don't need to recreate what's already been done. For reference, check out the following mods: The Elder Scrolls V Middle Earth - Lord of the Rings, Women of Middle Earth - LOTR Companions, Isimerial LOTR Weapons Collection, The Fellowship of the Ring in Skyrim, Wars of the Third Era LOTR, LOTR Shield Pack, Noldor Content Pack, Bosmer Content Pack, Gondor Armor. Fountain Guard Armor, and many more...Good hunting!
  13. I like this armor for adventuring in the bad neighborhoods of Skyrim better than the other outfit she wears, which is basically a shirt (non-armor). She can keep her white blouse for indoors....
  14. OK, so the Rochester World cathedral may be more Romanesque than Gothic. I recently saw a new mod called Skyrim Cathedrals that adds 3 Gothic looking cathedrals to the game, but they appear to use Solitude style architecture.
  15. I think the pics you show are from The Elder Scrolls V MIDDLE EARTH Lord of the Rings mod - probably Rivendell.
  16. There is a cathedral in the Rochester World WIP mod by breti. The overall mod is ambitious and amazing to behold, but unfinished. You can see the cathedral in the Images section, 2nd page, top right picture. 3rd page of Images also has side view pics. I downloaded the mod many months ago and had my character wander around in the new land. I seem to recall the cathedral interior appeared to be complete. Perhaps the mod author would let another modder copy the cathedral as a resource?
  17. The best Tauriel follower mod I have seen is by m0ckin9bird, but apparently is no longer on Nexus. You may need to search for it on the Internet, as it may have been relocated. I am surprised no one has created a Star Wars Rey follower or character preset yet.
  18. Ah, Elven Archer Armor - I think that's the set the Aurora and Twilight Followers mod comes with. It does look good on them. They come with an in-game body changer spell, yet that outfit seems to fit them, regardless of whether you switch to UNP or CBEE frames? There is also Grace Darkling's Elven Scout Armor (requires Dragonborn DLC for some reason), which comes in a variety of different colors, including some woodsy hues.
  19. MadFrenchie has a series of 3 "Fight Against the Thalmor" quest mods, but I have not tried them yet.
  20. Have you seen the Bosmer Armor Pack by Maty743? The armor seems to look a bit bulky on UNP female frames, but it might fit a CBEE frame better?
  21. I like this idea. I'm no modder, but it would be great if one of the talented follower artists here on Nexus picked this one up.
  22. Have you tried the SSME Skyrim Startup Memory Editor mod? I have been running Skyrim with around 200 mods, and sometimes experienced CTDs. The SSME mods makes CTDs much less frequent, in general, because it tweaks the amount of RAM available to the game . I have read that many CTDs are caused by the game running out of memory. Regardless of how much RAM your rig has, the game only uses a certain amount. Going over the limit can cause CTDs. Other things can cause CTDs, as well, but this SSME mod helps to increase the amount of RAM that is available to the game, reducing that kind of CTD. It seems to work pretty well for me - CTDs are now rare.
  23. I have heard of, but not installed, some Skyrim zombie mods that take care of the "plague" aspect you mention, but I don't think they alter supplies. I suppose you could combine one of the zombie mods with one of the survival/hunting mods and get close to what you are looking for - just stay out of towns and villages (which may be crawling with zombies, anyway). If you attack the town guards, the Stormcloaks, and the Imperials, they will all consider you their enemy (and maybe some of the locals, as well) and life would get real interesting. There may be some current mods that could be combined to approach what you are looking for. You could experiment until someone builds the post-apocolypse conversion mod that you want.
  24. If you are talking about player characters and not NPCs, you could use an extended follower framework mod and "shack up" with multiple followers. I use UFO, which has a limit of 15 followers. If you are talking about NPCs, I don't think there are any mods that pair them up if they are not already connected in the game. I am no modder, but this sounds possible -- maybe a lot of work, but possible. I think the game uses a NPC's Factions attribute to make a connection with another NPC, then special dialogue would need to be added for the "couple".
  25. Interesting - m0ckin9bird's Lara Croft Follower mod apparently now on a Russian web site? Looks like someone else is working on a version of Lara, as well. See www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/images/586876/?
