In addition to the Ethereal Elven Overhaul, which makes vanilla elves look a bit better, there are a variety of good-looking elven follower mods that have a more LOTR apperance. They tend to be frost-resistant, so I am guessing they are actually Nords with pointy ears: Tauriel, Danariel Stormbow, Chaconne, Aurora/Twilight, Aranya, Women of Middle Earth (follower set), SkyDream Mer-Maids (follower set), Braithwen Fernleaf, Gli Biendae, and Maerwen Briaerthorne, to name a few. To armor them up, you can use Grace Darkling’s Ranger Armor, Noldorian Ranger Armor (retexture of the former), or the Bosmer Armor Pack and Noldor Content Pack by maty743. To round out their equipment, I like Isimerial LOTR Weapons Collection mod’s Elven Short Sword and Elven Bow. The Fellowship of the Ring in Skyrim mod appears to have Legolas, if you are looking for him.

LE Multiple Follower Friendly/Load Friendly Homes/Castles
ScottC12 replied to aozgolo's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I use UFO, so may characters have up to 15 followers. I do not use Hearthfire DLC, so I am not sure about that compatability. I prefer the map central Whiterun/ Riverwood location, so the home and castle mods I use are in that area: Riverwood Castle: Medium sized Solitude architecture and castle with many towers on the edge of town next to the bridge over the White River. Main interior is 1 cell, but has 3 floors. Also includes a cavern smithy in it’s own cell and a walled courtyard - lots of room to spread out followers. Depending on your lighting mods, the castle may be a bit dark and gloomy inside. Comes with a 3 servants and 3 guards. Guards and followers left out in the courtyard may be attacked by random baddies. Orlong's Hearth: Medium sized Whiterun (complete with a run-down look) architecture fort on the western outskirts of Riverwood. No guards or servants. Main lodge has 1 floor with a master sleeping loft and a 4-bed follower bedroom. There is basement with it’s own cell, a walled courtyard, and a separate outbuilding (enchanting and alchemy stations) with it’s own cell, allowing plenty of room to spread out followers. Bright, cheery, fire-lit interior, but the navmesh is a bit buggy and the mod is no longer supported. Followers left out in the courtyard may be attacked by random baddies. The Legend of Eagles Nest: Smallish but picturesque mountaintop castle with towers overlooking Riverwood and Whiterun. Has a little quest to get 1 guard and 1 servant to clean up/furnish the place. The main area is one cell, but it also has 2 towers with their own cells, and outdoor walkway and work areas, as well as a small servant's quarters/barn. A little room to spread out followers, but if you have too many followers, you may need to split them between this and another location. Serene and quiet crime-free neighborhood, but followers left outside may see an occasional passing dragon.Elysium Estate: Medium sized Nord architecture mansion/estate across the road from Whiterun stables. No guards or servants. 2 floor main area with large followers’ bedroom (about 8 extra beds). Has a huge basement in it's own cell with smithing facilities and museum-like display area. Also has a fenced outside yard with a stable, a back yard hot tub. This place has plenty of room to spread out followers, but followers left outside may be occasionally attacked by random baddies. Hope this list helps. Happy real estate hunting! -
As mentioned above, the Convenient Horses mod includes 2 ways to summon your horse, along with many other useful features. The mod's horse whistle ability has an amusing but optional quest to obtain the skill, which works like a shout. The whistle will bring your horse running to your character from fairly long distances away. The mod also allows your character to buy a (expensive) horn that magically summons your horse from just about anywhere.

LE Mark Valuable items "NOT FOR SALE"
ScottC12 replied to offroadramsport's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
It may be a cheap work-around, but I select items I do not want to sell as "Favorite". That way, they get a star next to them in my inventory. -

Ditto for the excellent Helgen Reborn mod. The mod is equivalent to a DLC and includes several quests for the player to help rebuild the town and recruit guards for it. As a reward, the player get a nice rebuilt keep in the middle of town. No more bandit-infested ruins.

Bumma. I'm surprised there are not more Triss followers mods out there. Her outfit appears to be popular to mod, though.

May not be exactly what you are looking for, but have you seen the Noldor Armor Pack? It has nice LOTR style High Elven armor sets.

UFO multi-follower mod includes a spell book "Field Command", which gives the character shout-like commands for followers, including "Stop fighting!" This comes in very handy when your followers start attacking each other.

Non-Skimpy Actual 'Armour' list for Females
ScottC12 replied to OpheliaNeoma's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
There are a few practical, non-skimpy female armor and clothing mods here on Nexus, but it takes some searching. In addiiton to the ones already listed, I add the ones I have used in my game: All Armor Types: Practical Female Armors - Repleaces female versions of many vanilla armors (including Stell Plate) with more practical and less sexualized versions, while fitting the more slender female frame. Some of my female followers with UNP frames wear the Steel Plate armor, and it looks fine (not like they are being swallowed up by bulky armor). NorseViking Armor II - A variety of ubiquitous chainmail hauberks in both light and heavy versions. The female armors look different than the male versions, but not in a skimpy way. The included Viking-style helmets have a cartoonish texture compared to the chainmail, so I use vanilla steel helmets, instead. Light Armor: Grace Darkling's Ranger Armor. Overpowered stats, but nice looking green armor with brown trim for the outdoorsy woman. Has a nice optional hood/cowl. My female ranger followers won't leave home without it.Noldorian Ranger Armor - Standalone - Fashionable slate blue with gold trim retexture of Grace Darkling's Ranger Armor. It's stats are lower than the Grace Darkling armor, but maybe more balanced. Heavy Armor: Witcher 2 Style Dawnguard and Standard Heavy Plate. Includes a nice weather/battle worn Gothic Steel Plate Armor set, which may look a bit bulky on a female frame - but it's the ultimate in non-skimpy.Knights of the Nine - Heavy plate armor (ported from Obivion). Overpowered stats, but what a way to make an entrance! The female armor does have a "boob" curaiss, but it's all non-skimpy. The bucket hem texture looks a bit cartoonish compared to the rest of the armor set, so I use helmets from the Witcher 2 Helmet Pack, instead.Clothing: Grace Darkling's Ranger Dress - In a variety of colors. Made for vanilla frame, so it can look a bit bulky on a UNP frame.Elven Dresses - Classy LOTR style dresses in a variety of colors. Can even make a tavern wench look like a queen....Grace Darkling's Attire Pack - I don't have this mod, but it may be worth checking out - the author does great work. -
Search Nexus for "zombie". I saw a "Skyrim Lore-Friendly Zombie" mod here on Nexus. I did not download it because the description mentioned that any scratch from a zombie has a 50% chance of turning the victim into a zombie. In a world where some people run around in armor, I thought that would be too "unrealistic" and all of Tamriel would be shortly overrun by zombies. It may be a start, though, for what you are looking for. Maybe the mod author could make the chance of turning into a zombie configuarble, or make it so the victim needs a certain threshhold of damage before they would have a chance to turn? That would reduce the rate of transmission and cut down on the number of zombies. Not sure of what would happen if certain NPCs that were critical to quests became zombiefied....

Have you seen the Triss from The Witcher 2 Companion mod by Epoch29? I do not have this mod, but the description mentions that the author added a flame spell for her. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8622/

LE There Was A Mod That NPC Outift Changer
ScottC12 replied to LordVader41's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
If you use UFO multiple follower mod, your character gets a 'You could dress better" dialogue option with followers which allows the character to trade/take/swap inventory items with them. The followers will still use the vanilla AI to decide what they will equip, but you can take less desirable items from them so they will equip what you want them to. -
LE Civil War Quests Third Option
ScottC12 replied to sheadondoesskyrim's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I like this idea. Both sides of the Civil War have their minuses. I played a Breton character who was neutral in the Civil War. The Thalmor would try to kill him on sight and send assassins after him, so he is not a fan of the Imperials. The Nords think of him as a milk drinker, so he's not cozy with them, either. In the main quest, a certain faction wanted him to kill some creature that he liked, so he abandoned that faction and stopped recruiting for them. Instead, after I installed the Kinghts of the Nine mod, he rebuilt the Kings of the Nine. With UFO, he can have up to 15 followers - a small army!- 5 replies

Maybe not exactly what you want, but as a work-around: The chainmail byrnie (light armor) and hauberk (heavy armor) and a variety of round Viking-style shields are available in the excellent Immersive Armors mod or NorseViking Armor II. In the latter mod, the armor is fine, but the helmets have a bit of a cartoonish texture to them and could use some improvement. For a Viking helmets, I have downloaded the EarlyMiddleAges Helmet Pack, but have not installed it yet. Looks like fur cloaks are available in the Winter is Coming - Cloaks mod. There are also a variety of more historical looking Viking sword mods, such as The Stamford. Good luck, and happy pillaging!

I have seen mods that cover particular forts, such as Fort Sungard, but not a general fort overhaul mod. Skyrim forts tend to be bandit/necromancer/witch infested, run-down hovels. Even the walls of a city like Whiterun look partially collapsed, as if from years of neglect. In a Civil War, I assume strategic forts would need to be held to gain control of the surrounding area. The Civil War quest does involve taking some forts from the opposing side, then the winning side takes control. I have also seen, outside of the Civil War quests, that if a player character clears out some of the forts, the controlling area faction of Imperials or Stormcloaks move in. You'd think the new owners would fix up the forts they capture, but that does not occur -- maybe that would be hard to implement. On a grander scale, the Helgen Reborn mod lets the character rebuild and garrison the once demolished town with a series of quests. I am not a modder, but I would think that something similar and less elaborate could be done for at least the major forts that would let the character clear them, then repair and garrison them to make them fit as a character's home.

I think someone has modded Sauron's Armor and mace. My character came across Sauron in Blackreach. He looked cool, but I am sure he was more of a wimp than the real thing - Sauron, Jr.?. I run with around 200 mods, so it is hard to tell which mod he came from. Maybe he was placed as a "Easter egg" surprise, perhaps in the Immersive Armors or Isimeriel LOTR Weapons Collection?

Recipe for creating an Anti-Mage: 1. Play as a Breton 2. Install the Armor Padding Kits mod 3. Have your character craft the Armor Padding for spell absorbtion, then equip it under any armor 4. Have your character visit and activate the Lord Stone 5. Optional: Have your character find or purchase an additional ring or necklace of Resist Magic 6. Optional: Have your character specialize in either archery or melee combat. Mages do not hold up to physical damage very well....

LE NPC reacts to your armor, stormcloak/imperial
ScottC12 replied to zIRaXor's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I see a new mod called NPC Reactions by kuertee that appears to do just what you are asking about, with clothing/faction based reactions that happen when your character converses with NPCs. Based on the description, you do not need to start a new game to use the mod. -
LE Dragonage: Origins styled Templar armour
ScottC12 replied to mja2776's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
"Tempar" is a typo for Templar - sorry. -
I will check out The Chronicles of Steel -Skyrim- Realswords NEXUS EXCLUSIVE by Waalx and ShinGouki - it looks promising. Interesting that it does not show up in Nexus search, but I Googled and found it on Nexus. The Early-Middleages Helmets pack by VAultMaN30 also appears to be worth checking out.

LE Completely remove main quest / dragonborn?
ScottC12 replied to Badmagic's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
There are relatively simple ways to avoid becoming “Dragonborn” without mods: Avoid the Main Quest triggers. Visiting Helgen, by itself, will not put your character on a one-way path to becoming the Dragonborn. Quest triggers to avoid: 1. Do not complete the Bleak Falls Barrow quest or 2. If you complete the Bleak Falls Barrow quest, avoid the Dragon Rising quest by not meeting Irileth at Whiterun’s Western Watchtower. Please note that option 2 leaves a burning Western watchtower with Irileth and some of the Whiterun Guards waiting for your character, but no dragon will show up unless your character meets up with Irileth. If you avoid the quest triggers above, your character will not be “Dragonborn” (though some NPCs may call you that) and they may never (never say never) see a dragon again, as long as they avoid the quest triggers mentioned above. I use the excellent Alternate Start – Live Another Life mod, and it will direct your character to seek info on what happened at Helgen. If you use Alternate Start and your character visits Helgen, they will see Alduin flying away after he laid waste to the town. If you avoid the quest triggers mentioned above, that will probably be the only dragon your character ever sees, though NPCs will continue to mention what happened at Helgen. The Aurora and Twilight follower mod has a mini-quest that involves your character taking them to Helgen to find what happened to their father. The amazing Helgen Reborn mod also requires your character to visit Helgen several times during quests to rebuild the town. In any case, your character can visit Helgen without becoming Dragonborn. -
Search the Armours section for "steel plate". Have you seen aMidianBorn Steel Plate Armor by CaBal? In the pics, it looks darker than vanilla steel plate armor. Blued Steel Plate Armor by viperMkII looks black with gold trim. I use Witcher 2 Style Dawnguard and Standard Heavy Plate mod by baraban . It has a Gothic steel plate armor that is several shades darker than vanilla steel plate, and looks used and weathered - perfect for the adventurer who spends a lot of time in the field and doesn't have servants to polish their armor.

Some good generic Viking style armors and shields are included in the excellent Immersive Armor and Immersive Weapons mods by Hothtrooper44, or the NorseViking Armor II mod by croc. These may be more historical Dark Ages looking armos and weapons than the pics you show for the Valkyrie, but it's a start...

LE Dragonage: Origins styled Templar armour
ScottC12 replied to mja2776's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
It might not be exactly what you are looking for, but if you search on 'templar", there are a few armor mods that look close to the pic you shared, though they may be a bit more historical Medieval in style. Also close, but not quite the same as your pic, have you seen the excellent Knight of the Nine armor mod (slightly lore-friendly - ported from Obivion) by maty743?
