  1. Did you try the unwanted effects thread? I don't see anything specifically in your load order, but I don't play a vampire so a lot of those mods are unfamiliar to me. A BOSS log would contain additional information that could be useful. Were there any mods that you have removed prior to this problem? Have you tried getting the reference ID for the effect--click on it in the console, the first two characters will correspond where it originates in your load list (so, 00 is skyrim.esm, 01 is usually Dawnguard, etc.) If you can do that you may be able to locate the file that is the source of the effect. (or effect shader is probably more accurate.) You might also try starting a papyrus log, opening the game and going invisible, then exiting the game and checking if the log references any particular mod at that time. Edit: I just had another thought--since you state the problem is related to the cmaera distance, I wonder if it is related to any of your LOD settings. Could you also copy/paste your Skyrimprefs.ini? Do you use an enb?
  2. What is the install path of: BOSS, SKYRIM data file, NMM? Which version of skse are you using? Which version of BOSS, NMM? Can you open up the data folder properties and make sure it is not tagged as read-only? When you open NMM, there is a folder icon--click on that and it should list folder paths for the NMM install, Mods and game. Are those pointing to the same locations as the actual files? (and none have read-only properties?) How, exactly did you get the mods into your data folder in the first place? (manual install, transfer from a previous game, NMM, etc.)
  3. If you are going to try to do your own load order, you really need to open everything up in TES5Edit then place according to file conflicts/overrides. Given the number of problems you have, which typically result from load order conflicts, I strongly suggest you rethink your manual load order and instead use BOSS or LOOT to create a basic structure, then make adjustments after opening files in TESEdit.
  4. I suspect it is either a magic effects bug, in which case the pinned thread on the top of this board should help, or it is a mod effect, in which case please copy/paste the text file of your BOSS log and enclose in spoiler tags.
  5. It may be being blocked by your server administrator. I'd suggest you contact whoever that is, find out if it is a deliberate policy or an oversight, and maybe request an exception.
  6. Try loading a save from before you added that .esp.
  7. Gopher's beginners tutorial series may help you.
  8. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1592053-how-to-ask-for-help/ please also mark the duplicate post do people don't get confused.
  9. You need to use TESEdit, and properly place your unrecognized mods. And take care of all the other BOSS log messages.
  10. You need to take care of all of those messages in the log, particular the TES5Edit cleaning and properly placing the unrecognized mods. (You can use TES5Edit for that as well. Or re-read the mod author's instructions to see if they have instructions for that.) After doing that you may need to re-run your Skyre patch. To avoid having BOSS reorder the unrecognized mods you just manually placed, you will need to use the BOSS GUI and set up user rules to keep those mods where you want them.
  11. So, I took a quick look at that forum and found this: (highlighting added)
  12. Could you copy/paste the uncapper.ini file (enclose in spoiler tags) maybe there is some little thing I or someone else can catch that is causing the problem for you. Also, please post your BOSS log, also enclosed in spoilers, just in case something there may help us help you.
  13. I use BOSS for load order, mostly. I only deviate from it when there is a good reason to (like the mod author suggests something else or I am deliberately putting a mod lower to overwrite another mod's effects.) However, I also use TESEdit to check for load order issues (and of course mod cleanings.) And I re-read everything on a mod author's page every time I add a mod--even those I've used for years--because sometimes a new version can have a new set of installation rules or requirements, or features that may affect my other mod choices. I think BOSS does a better job than most anyone could do on their own. It already uses a general sort of grouping as you describe (you can look at that by opening up the BOSS GUI and clicking on user rules.) Eventually we will all be using LOOT instead, anyway--seems like people who have already made the switch are pretty happy with the results, but I am going to wait a bit longer to make sure the kinks are out. And as I understand it, using TESEdit to check the results is also required for LOOT. A good place for someone interested in systematically building a stable game with lots of features is the STEP Guide and forum. I don't use STEP myself, because my graphics card is below their minimum requirements. But even so, I have read it and keep up with their developments, and I have learned a lot from them.
  14. Ok, well... Removing mods can destabilize games. Did you remove any mods before this problem started? If so, that could be the cause. The only possible fix for that would be to try to use a save cleaner, which may fix your game, or make things worse. I would only recommend that as a last resort, when you are willing to start a new game, if necessary. When you started this play-through, did you use the STEP guide to revert to vanilla, before starting a new game? If not, then the problem could be caused by remnants of your old mods, incompletely removed. In that case, you could try a script cleaner, but you will probably need to start over on a truly clean game. If neither of the above apply to you, then it is possible that you have a conflict that BOSS of which BOSS is not aware. You could check that by using TES to look for conflicts or missing masters. (Gopher video for this here) It is also possible, but less so, that although it appears to be a location-based crash, it is actually coincidental, and your game is crashing for some other reason (memory, hardware, other program taking resources...) To rule this out, you would want to get and run the Skyrim Performance Monitor, to see what is going on in the game. Like I said, this is probably the least likely cause, but at least you could rule it out. If none of that solves your problem, my only other suggestion would be to start a new game, after reverting to vanilla using the STEP guide, then adding your mods/tweaks one at a time, running BOSS and TESEdit and testing thoroughly in game (preferably around the crash location) before adding the next. Sorry, that's all I can think of.
  15. Is that a LOOT load order? Or BOSS, or neither. If it is LOOT or BOSS, could you please replace it with the actual log (BOSS log or LOOT log). Also you can find the spoiler tags in the pull down menu of the third icon from the left on the top toolbar. To save people's scrolling fingers. If you are not using BOSS or LOOT, that might be the problem. Also, if you have not TESEdit cleaned the DLCs/mods that are flagged by BOSS or LOOT, doing that may also solve your problem.
  16. No, follow the instructions. There are some changes you need to make in the ini to be specific to your graphics. From Apocalypse description page: So, that probably is the cause.
  17. Copy/paste your BOSS log text file version. Enclose in spoiler tags.
  18. If you are using anything but the default 5 ugrids, that could be your problem. If not, copy/paste your BOSS log text file, skyrim.ini, and skyrimprefs.ini. Also please use Skyrim performance monitor to capture your in game computer performance and post the graphs it genreates. It may also help to have your papyrus log. Please start a new one just before attempting to enter Solstenheim, and post that. Everything will probably be long so please enclose each in spoiler tags.
  19. 1. The opening sequence will bug out if you use mods before exiting the cave at Helgen. 2. Civil War Overhaul.esp Has very specific instructions for proper installation. Did you follow those? Also, as the author states, if you are wearing any stormcloak or imperial armor, you will be treated as an enemy by the opposite faction. I think you may want to re-read that mod carefully so you know what to expect.
  20. If you are exceeding the 3.1 GB memory limit of the Skyrim engine, then yes, it would be a game engine thing. If not, I would look at maybe scripts loading/updating at cell load (This may be helped by the 1.7 skse alpha, if you don't have that--check to see that you have these lines in your skse.ini:) [General] ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=512 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 Or, possibly, other services/processes with taking higher priority than skyrim and forcing it to pause. I had that problem a while back with my external drive periodlcally stopping everything else so it could wave to my C drive.
  21. I dont use ENBoost, but as I understand it, there are settings that are specific to your graphics card memory, so I don't think that would be the problem However, someone with more experience with that should help you. Or check the ENB forum itself. For DDSOpt, you can get a lot of information on how to use it and the settings on the related STEP page. Generally, though, you are wanting to reduce your textures, so nothing bigger than 1024. Also, just DDS, not BSA.
  22. You are exceeding your GPU memory. You can see the shuttering on the graph--your computer is having to clear out memory in order to make room. You will need to reduce your graphics demands. There are many ways to do this--not using the high-res dlcs, using a texture optimizer, choosing lower-res versions of mods, using less or new lighting/fx mods. You will just need to play around to see what combination works best for your computer and your tastes.
  23. Epic Gameplay Overhaul - Epic Gameplay Overhaul - Dragonborn Edition The effect you describe is stated on the description page.
  24. Well, you need to take care of those messages, like TES5Edit and the Reprocc error. However, the causes for stuttering may not be related to that. Please get and use the Skyrim Performance Monitor, then post those results.
