  1. Thanks for your reply, I'm no expert when it comes to modding, or computers in general, normally if I just look at a PC, it just bursts into flames. Which is why I stick to Xbox. I understand what you are saying, but for Xbox 100mb is a fair chunk of our allowance. There are mods in xbox that have a while array of outfits and accessories and are usually between 70mb - 150mb, some can be nearer 200mb. For example, Militarized Minutemen, which is about 120mb. There's a newer one that adds Marine BDUs and a couple of outfits and helmets, that's 52mb. There's one that adds US Vietnam War gear, including fatigues in about 20 different varients, helmets gasmasks, rucksacks, webbing, boonie hats, bandanas, that's about 80mb. So forgive me for my ignorance, but based on above, I didn't think a standalone backpack mod with a couple of different textures would be that big.
  2. Would it he possible for someone to create a standalone mod for a backpack. There are only a couple of decent backpack mods on Bethedsa.net for Xbox, and as good as they both are, they are large files with many, many different styles and options, nearly all of which I don't use. The other option is to use an outfit mod that comes with a backpack, such as Militarized Minutemen, or one of the myriad of "tacticool" mods that make your character look like they were plucked out of Call of Duty. Again, same issue, I can't justify using a 100mb mod, with loads of outfits and accessories, just to use the backpack. All I'd like, I'd a simple standalone backpack mod, which gives you a Survival backpack, like a hiking rucksack for civvie outfits and maybe some a Burgen style backpack that comes in olive drab, black or tan for military themed outfits. Thanks
  3. Would it be possible for someone to create a mod that allows you to craft camo weapon skins for the weapons added by SREP Redux. Nothing fancy or outlandish, just a woodland, desert, and winterised weapon skin. OK maybe one or two fancy ones as well. Thanks.
  4. I'm looking for a modder who goes by the name "Homelander1001" on Bethesda.net, to address an issue with their mods. But because Bethedsa.net is garbage, I cannot contact them through that site. If anyone knows if they have a nexus profile, or some other way to contact them, could you DM me. Maybe they don't want to be contacted? That's fine, but I'll never know if I don't ask Thanks
  5. Aren't settlements, although allied to the minutemen, technically independent settlements, so why do they all look to just one minuteman to build every aspect of each settlement? Shouldn't it be a community effort? So my idea is inspired by mods like Amazing Follower Tweaks, and Sim Settlements. A mod, for when you unlock a new workshop, it gives you the option to create a prebuilt and furnished settlement, like in the two aforementioned mods, to save you form having to build the settlement from scratch. Except the prebuilt settlement is a very basic settlement, a roof over heads for a few settlers, some food, water, power and a few defences. Enough for them to get by as a starter settlement, until they can establish themselves. Then after some time has passed, either when the settlement reaches a certain number of settlers, or the player reaches a certain level, or after so many in game days, an upgrade for the settlement becomes available. When you then visit that settlement and activate the workshop, you get an option to upgrade the settlement. If you choose to upgrade, the buildings and furnishings delete themselves then auto build improved building, where you get a market square, a small basic crafing workshop, more crops, storage sheds and improved defences. Maybe a few seperate houses The second upgrade could add a barn, perimeter walls, an improved crafting workshop, and further improved defences, and improved resources. A third upgrade, after a certain time could Improve the settlement further by turning it into a fully fledged city for larger settlements, or a fully fledged Farmstead for smaller settlements. The whole point of this idea is to give the illusion that Settlers are looking after themselves and building and improving their own settlements, rather then sitting on their arses and relying on the player. The normal workshop functions should still be available, so you can scrap junk, scrap bits of the settlement, make your own changes and amendments to the settlement and add items from other mods like workshop decorations, burning campfires and fireplaces or sandbag fortifications, and build your own little bolthole or apartment within the settlement, for you to get your head down while exploring. The basic idea is for the settlers to look after themselves and build their own settlements, while allowing you to make tweaks Thanks for your time.
  6. Please would someone be kind enough to port this mod over to Bethesda.net for xbox users: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30648 Permission by the OMA has been given as long as there's a link to the original mod on nexus. I have a screenshot of the permission from the OMA which can be provided on request. Thanks
  7. Thank for the input, those are some really good suggestions, but what I'm looking for is something more rugged and ragged, like what's in the attached images, I've been using the xbox version of Vietnam War gear: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/38006 This is a fantastic mod and does contain everything I'm after, however it also contains a lot, and I mean a lot of other stuff that I don't use. Because it's an 80mb file, I couldn't justify keeping it, when I only used 4 of the 30 outfits and only a small handful of the accessories. What I'd like is something that adds cut ups of the existing Fatigues to achieve the look of the attached images
  8. No problem, this was more of s concept idea, rather than a request, but thanks anyway
  9. Hi, thanks for your input, I've used the xbox port of this mod before and I have to admit, I loved it, But the issue I had with it, was that I only used myself a very small proportion of the outfits and I couldn't justify keeping a mod that was 170mb, when I only used a small percentage of its contents, and we have a mod limit of only 2gb. But you're correct, it did have some of the things I was looking for. If someone was to create a lite version if your mod, then I'd definitely consider using it. OK, so I contacted the OMA of the above mod, and they will not give permission for anyone to make a lite version of this mod If some awesome individual can create a new lighter mod that similar to clothing retextures, that would be awesome. The (large file/mod) size is mostly determined by textures. Deleting all textures you don't use, or better, replace them by empty images (completely white or transparant and/or change the resolution to 256x256 pixels) should already help you to reduce the total size significantly. Afaik, you don't need any permission to do that (for personal use only) Thanks for your input, but unfortunately I play exclusively on consoles, I just need to look at a PC and it bursts into flames, I don't even own a PC, so I gratefully rely on good people like yourselves who create mods
  10. This part is where the idea runs aground, I'm afraid. You can't disable the terrain in a specific spot, the engine just isn't set up to do it. If you did manage to disable the collision, which I also think is not possible, you would find yourself under the world, looking at all the gross background stuff the ground hides: I'm not trying to dump on your idea, I wish it were possible. Leah Thanks for getting back to me, I understand you'd be able to see all the ugly stuff underground, but the idea was that when you attach the walls, floors and ceilings to the foundation piece, it would hide all the stuff outside, giving the illusion of being underground. If it's not possible, then that's fine, it was just an idea, but you know what they say, if you don't try, you don't get OK, how about a patch for the not just basements mod: https://bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/4269729 A patch that will allow you to assign settlers to workstations etc, if you use a mod such as Amazing Follower Tweaks, or USO, to place your iwn settlers there? Could that work? Once placed, the basements are already linked to the parent workshop

  13. So, I've always wanted to he able to build basements in my workshops, that are navemeshed and useable by settlers The reason being, having an underground storeroom seems like a much more secure way of sorting valuable crops and resources, ammo etc. But I also want to assign a settler to a act as an inventory manager or something. They are also useful for settlers to flee to in case of an attack, or somewhere to duck into during a Radstorm. However, all the mods i've found, that add basements, add them as seperate interior cells, that settlers cannot enter, and you cannot assign them workstations inside, because they are not park of the actual workshop, they are more like Home Plate, So, my idea, which came from Fallout 76, where players used a glitch to be able build vast camps underground: would be to create a foundation block with stairs attached going down inside of the block, a bit like the shack staircase, but as a foundation. Once placed, it makes the ground only inside of the block invisible, and removes the collision, so although it doesn't delete the ground, it makes it passable for settlers using the navmeshed foundation block, from there using snap points attached to the foundation, you can add normal floor wall and ceiling pieces, in effect creating a building under the ground thats part of the normal workshop and fully useable by settlers. Or will this cause my xbox to explode? Thanks for reading
  14. Can someone create a mod for xbox that provides better baseball caps, which can also be warn reversed. I'm aware that there is already a mod available on xbox, which adds an NY Yankees baseball cap with the option of having it reversed, but it's quite chunky, and my character looked like a tool when he wore it. I was hoping someone could create something a bit less chunky, more like an old worn truckers cap, like the Garrahan truckers cap from Fallout 76. Also some bandannas that can be worn over you head would be cool too. Again like the head wraps from Fallout 76. Thanks
  15. Give this a try: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/46267 It's the Service Rifle Redux mod, adds a service rifle with various attachments, to create M16 A1, A2, A4, Carbine, M4, various sight options, and includes a working underslung M203 grenade Launcher just like in Scarface.
  16. If making them invisible can make the game buggy, would it be easier, to just make them visible, and just look like small speakers or radios that can be tucked away out of sight?
  17. Thanks for your input, and i appreciate that its simple, but I'm not a modder, I play exclusively on xbox, I don't even own a PC, so I'm reliant on others creating mods. But thanks anyway.
  18. I appreciate your input, but don't use sim settlements, I'm not a big fan of huge game changing mods. Although the sound emitters sound like just what I'm after, but I'd just like them to be standalone.
  19. I've had an idea to bring more life and immersion to your settlements. Placeable sound effects. For example, have a sound effect attached to an item, in a similar way to a mod called lights with shadows. This mod has placeable invisible light bulbs, which emmit shadow casting light. But instead of emitting light, the item produces a sound effect that when placed plays on a continuous loop. The sound effect could be anything, the sound of people chatting, dishes clinking, people using hand saws, hammering, sewing machines, electric drills, water dripping, farmyard animals, wild animals, creepy sound effects, like monsters, ghosts, ghouls etc. The possibilities are endless. Having placeable sound effects which you can put where you choose, would add a whole new layer of immersion to settlements
  20. 21. Please can someone create a mod that adds craftable alternate versions of the army / military fatigues. The alterations I'm talking about are things like versions that have the sleeves ripped off, sleeves rolled up, topless, and maybe a version that has the fatigue trousers with a t-shirt for the top. If possible, could cbbe support be included Thanks
  22. There is currently a mod available on Bethesda.net for Xbox called Prisoner Bindings https://bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/4237064 I'd be really grateful if someone could create an accompanying mod to go with this, something that adds furniture, which settlers can be asigned to permenantly, (like the guard posts), similar to Prisoner Shackles: https://bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detailanimations Prisoner Shackles is good, and has lots of prisoner animations, but only contains the two vanilla restrained prisoner animations. What I'd like is for someone to create a mod that has more variety of restrained poses and animations, to make the Prisoner Bindings mod more useful. I'm not interested in any NSFW content, (i play on Xbox anyway) Its primarily for the aesthetics of raider settlements / outposts and settlement prisons, improving the immersion of a lawless dystopian future Thanks for your time Edit: I spoke with the OMA of the Prisoner Shackles mod some time ago, and he was happy for someone to add more / new poses / animations to the mod.
  23. I'm after some stuff to make my xbox raider playthrough better and more immersive. In the vanilla game, the only things that differentiate a raider settlement from a normal settlement are a few small cages and some metal spikes, some of which have bodies on them. There's not a great deal of mods out there for xbox which add anything for raiders, even with mods such as Unlocked Settlement Objects. I'd really appreciate it if someone could create some stuff to make Raider settlements more immersive and have better aesthetics. The sort of things I'm talking about are: Paintings / posters, wall decorations, and foor decorations, to give raider settlements that raider aesthetic. Idle interactive settlement objects, that raiders will use when not raiding, cause let's face it, they ain't going to have jobs. Pool tables, bar items, target ranges, punch bags and weight training sets, to keep the raiders entertained when not raiding. prison and interrogation / torture decorations and holding cells, again for the raider aesthetics. Assignable animated prisoner and interrogation / torture furniture, to go along with the decorations, so Raiders can extract information form their newly captured wastelanders and to simply torment and humiliate them, and entertain your raiders when they're not out raiding. drug dens, for raiders to chill out in after a hard day's raiding, bbq's made out of half an oil drum, just because they look bad ass, Etc, etc Think of how vikings would celebrate and party after a raid, and the sort of stuff raider types would have in a lawless dystpoian future. Thanks for your time.
  24. **PLEASE DISREGARD ANSWER NO LONGER REQUIRED** Know this probably isn't the right forum, so apologies in advance. I recently saw a mod on bethesda.net for xbox. In the description it said it removes Astrids burnt skin texture from the game. When I've gone back to look for it I can't find it, can someone help me out please. Thanks
