  1. So, Im trying to decide if I should play it legit, and use a good coin replacer for Thalmor coin, or give them pony-coins or sith credits, or something; you know, something that cements their status as the douchebags of Skyrim. Opinions?
  2. Im not sure if rhis is the right section; mods, please move if it isnt. So Im rebuilding my entire skyrim package after an unfortunate accident and noticed that BSAopt is rather.....well, its old. There's no other way to put it. Now, I have no problem with using old programs if they work. But the comments section is starting to fill up with problems and complaints, as would be expected from a program 4 years old. Is this still the "best" preferred method for extracting from BSAs, or has the community changed to a different program?
  3. It goes on and off the steam page constantly, and is hosted on a different site (with pretty much nothing else there) @ bardsandmerchants.com/downloads
  4. PM later today to remind me (I have terrible memory) and I'll look up the specific name in the Game settings you alter to allow "X" number of hits in combat before they consider you an opponent.
  5. If there is a mod that gives men basic shorts like swimming trunks, could someone PM me the link?
  6. Your right, I shouldnt suggest the troll is fapping or living in a basement. The rest is from his own words in OP.
  7. Well, its taken several years and tons of experimentation, but they have found sub-atomic particles (I forget the name) that go faster than the speed of light. So, speed is distance over time. You can have zero distance over time (hover) It's claimed that the closer one gets to the speed of light, the slower time goes. Does this mean that light from the sun, taking 8 seconds to reach us, has only aged 4 seconds? And, does going faster than the speed of light mean one can go backwards in time? Or just that one becomes younger; ie: for every hour of normal time, at FTL, you become an hour younger?
  8. So, Im working on a mod, and wondering which is a better system: In addition to increase on level-upl 1) magicka increases a small amount for each spell you learn 2) magicka increases with each "mage" perk you take 3) magicka increases only when you choose to, on level-up
  9. The butthurt in here is funny. To think some basement dweller is crouched in his little troll cave while mom yells at him to take out the garbage, fapping to his belief in some sort of superiority over people that actually have a life..... I didnt know the /b/tards had escaped from 4chan.
  10. Does anyone know of a clothes mod for men that includes shorts? My "search-fu" is weak lately
  11. Ive been looking for a mod (cant find it yet) that lets you play soccer. I want to decapitate Heimskr, Nazeem, and Braith, and use their heads for soccer balls. I figure to kick nazeem's head clear to the cloud district, put braiths head on a paddle with string like that old rubber ball and paddle game, and I figured I'd just make Heimskr's day by turning his head into the ashtray for all the Dragonpriests I kill. But actually getting him locked up? Thats a pretty cool trick too. Think its a glitch?
  12. There is a "skywind" and (I forget the other name) being made that attempt to recreate the old ES games in Skyrim's graphics and engine, if thats what you want. If your looking for current action in those, there's a few unofficial mods, and Beyond Skyrim is getting mixed reviews as a WIP. There are another two projects Ive heard about doing the same thing, but I cant say much because they're work in languages I dont know (Russian and Chinese, I believe. Might be Korean? My apologies to members from those countries, but some of the web-script people use........ Well, Im sure they say the same about American web-scripts lol )
  13. Theres actually a couple mods that try to let you join the Thalmor, and serve on their side. I dont kinow the status of them; Ive been working most the year on a major overhaul mod. But just type "Thalmor" into the search on the frontpage of the Nexus. It only kicks up about 12 pages or so. Easy to go through to find the mods Im talking about.
  14. Thanks! I'll just put off my rebuild for a while longer, then.
  15. I tried the search a couple different ways, and didnt find my answer, so if it was already said, I apologize. But will this "remastered" version affect any of the hardware requirements? My laptop is a decade old, and barely able to run the low settings, and my tower is even older. Im getting ready to upgrade the tower, but by how much? I can afford the middle to upper-middle suggestions, but is that enough to run the new version? I would appreciate if any hardware guys could PM and let me know a good set of suggestions for the new game.
  16. Sorry to ask; Ive been out of the loop. This new edition; are there any solid details yet? Or is it simply that a "remastered" edition is coming?
  17. Its not supposed to, especially in armor mods, but this IS skyrim; the only mod Im comfortable saying wont cause bugs is "cabbage in a bucket" and even then its still possible.
  18. Then the universe will change all the questions. Either that, or it will simply end. :D Bugt we've known the secret of the universe, and the question since 1978. The answer is 42, and the question is "what is 7x7?" But seriously, the question about fluidity of time is a valid an necessary one Im glad was raised, since I overlooked it entirely. Is time only as real as we perceive? There's a story ascribed to Einstein as he was trying to explain relativity to a lay-person, and he said "5 seconds holding a hot coal feels like eternity. 5 seconds Kissing a pretty girl feels like only an instant." I would think that if this is true, and time exists only in how we see it, that as we are tied to the 3 dimensions, time would be a function of them, maybe? And thanks all. I love these conversations, but being a shut-in, have had no one to have them with.
  19. Im using the satchel from the Imperial armor as my base for a separate removable pouch. I just deleted the rest of the armor except the pouch. But I cant get it to show up once I set it as its own item. Anyone know why? Ive tried putting it in slot 46, 47, 48, and 58, and none have worked. Am I using the wrong slot? Or is there a step I missed?
  20. I know where to find it, but not how to change it (in the CK, permanently) Sorry.
  21. Im wondering how to turn on both sides, and make them permanent. Im sure there's an easy way, but Im seeing square and the ext is blurring, so I figured Id ask.
  22. I, mot sure if this is the right forum for this, or if it should be somewhere else; moderators, feel free to move to appropriate forum. I am wondering, as the focus on Skyrim fades, and modders move to new games, if we should have a "living will", where if a mod is inactive for a year or longer, and the author is no longer contactable that the mod could be considered "limited open content", usable for mods that do not charge or ask donations. Case in point, I was trying to reach the author of Birds of Skyrim, and his mail box is full; thats the only way I know to reach people on here. So I cant get permission to use the mod; a mod that hasnt been touched since 2012. It was pure lick that the author came on as another modder was talking of his patch, and gave permission. A perfect example would be InsanitySorrow, who has left at the bottom of his mods that if he is unreachable for 6 months, his work is under control of (I forget the group, but the fact that he's set it up is my point) What do people think? Is it reasonable to request that works left behind by people who are now unreachable become limited-open-source?
  23. I want to make 3 new crafting stations: A spinning wheel (model by Stroti?) to weave linen A kettle to dye the cloth in And a table to "sew" it into clothes. Can someone please message me a tutorial or three on how to do that? Also, is there a way to make the various field camps permanent placements, rather than just appearing in relation to the civil war quest?
  24. Pure and simple: no. Hell no. bloody f^&king hell no. And its not my opinion nor decision The 3 mods I have "unhidden" on Nexus all use assets that require no hosting elsewhere, especially steam. I cant block, "un-opt" or in any other way prevent these pirates from forcing me, against my will, to break the agreements I made in order to use those assets? Granted, this has all "gentleman's agreement" and "verbal" contract so far, rather than lawyerese court-binding documentation, but for anyone with honor and integrity, that is all that is necessary. What these pirates are going to do, apparently either with or without our approval, is turn us all into plagiarists-by-proxy, break almost every single agreement for resource sharing that has allowed modding to exist this long, and draw the attention of the copyright lawyers to all the conversions that get overlooked currently. This is why professional computer design (hardware or soft) are required to have non-computer people grounded in reality as a part of the team - to warn about all the "analog" situations the "binary" thinking computer people cant understand.
