  1. the tribunal trigger wil happen randomly when you rest, you'll know what is it....believe me. If only other weapons were more effected by drained fatigue, like a sloppy sword swing or even a chance to hit yourself!! well one of the many things i wish was in the game but you can't win them all. pump up your skill, fire when well rested and there shouldn't be a problem. but sometimes it looks really off and i'll hit it without a problem. i would just assume it defys the laws of physics, as many things in morrowind do.
  2. Certainly my favorite combination for a Stealth like character is Dumner and Shadow. It's a matter of preference but that Invisibility does come in handy a lot of the time. The 50 pt sanctuary is always fun to have, especially for a rogue. Mages I go with Breton/ Atronach. 50% magic resistance, 50 pt absorb spell, and 2.5x int magicka makes for a rather nice all around mage. Sure you have to deal with the stunted magicka, but so long as you have an extra 21 mana lying around summon an ancestral ghost and you'll have all your magicka back in no time at all.
  3. Another large perpitrator of flamewar battlegrounds is the RP thread. Simply because people take the actions of others' characters as personal attacks on them. Well quite honestly it's just RPing, people need to wake up and realize this. Also, not having one character where you pour everything you like about a particular type (i.e. assassin) helps a lot too. Demonstrating RP diversity in character creation certainly makes me less likely to whine about something when it doesn't go my way, that and I can RP a diverse array of characters. It's a small thing when you think about it, having more than one character, but it means you aren't stuck feeling too attached to something purely fictional, if you want to win all the time and not have people complain when you do, go play the game. RPing is a place where you absolutely can't control the will or wishes of others' actions. If they want to do something, they are (within limits) given the opportunity to do so. What a few don't understand is that this might end up in a fight based on characters' differences, and there is always the option to back down or flee. Knowing when to back down is also pretty essential too. It shows maturity just to let things go and not let anger or the drive to retaliate take you over; plain and simple.
  4. So what are everyone's favorite movies of all time? How about the top 10 m'kay? 1)Lord of the Rings (Two Towers) 2)LOTR (Fellowship) 3)Silence of the Lambs 4)Red Dragon 5)Braveheart 6)Donnie Darko 7)Life as a House 8)Boondock Saints 9)Star Wars 4,5 and 6 10) Princess Mononoke Good but not on the list: The Matrix, Spirited Away, Ghost in the Shell and the 5th element
  5. Well ideally this is true, but since we do exist I'd prefer that we have natural predators to keep our population in check, but since there's not than i guess we just have to wait until we can no longer support the population and survival of the fittest will take its course.
  6. I'm not personally bitching about my post count but certainly I can see peoples' points of view when complaining about a new group of people coming out of nowhere and having their post counts counted here too. (sticks his neck out) I must say I have to side with the complainers on this subject, not that I'm saying my own count matters, it doesn't I only post when i have something to say that i want other people to read, but being a young forum it now seems exremely polarized for some reason with peep having more than 1000 posts in the short time this forum has been around.
  7. that's a good post. having played many many table top games and DM'ed a few this seems appropriate because it's simply creating an atmosphere much like a table top session. main thing is that you can ONLY affect your character. specifically as characters one way to have an influence on a possible action are the adjectives you use to describe you actions. For example, in a situation with a potentially hostile spellcaster simply writing (name) walks towards the spell user this leaves a lot of room for interpretation on the part of the DM, certainly there are planned outcomes they have to tend to in order to progress a storyline but say this is a minor character that could potentially be a fight and you want to avoid it this will lead to the crater that was your character, there are number of defining factors in this and when i DM i punish people who don't take into account things such as declaring they put their weapon away after a battle. DM's generally reward good roleplaying and punish bad roleplaying in a star wars session one of the girls was reckless with affect mind (force power) seeing as she did this just for the heck of it i set the DC rather high and she failed, the result was that the guard noticed her attempt and threw her in jail for the remainder of the session. so basically she just sat in a chair for three hours doing nothing because she wasn't doing a good job with her character (name) unhooks his weapon belt, a slight thud resonates in the cave. noticing this the spell user draws his attention to the newcomer. (name) makes eyecontact with the mage and raises his hands as to show no need for alarm, cautiously stepping forward (name) draws a humble look upon his face to ease the tension. this is the point when you stop the pose, you've declared your action for the turn and now leave the NCP to react to your actions. given that the PC is making all attempts to be nonthreatening, if i were the DM then it is likely this NPC would at least for a moment hear the PC out. Also notice that the word choice is very careful, I made it clear that I was not intending to force the mage to perform any certain action to fit with my post (this is called divine intervention, its doesn't work). I simply stated that my goal was to ease the tension, whether or not there was any in the first place but the characters attempt is to put to doubt any apparent threat the NPC might perceive from the PC
  8. where can you buy a lock spell or can you make it by getting open and spellmaking lock?
  9. there i was minding my own business and accidentally tried to sleep in one of the beds of a guard, well the one on duty reported my crime and started running around. seeing it was only five gold, and i didn't have any stolen items on myself i calmy walked up and paid the guard the measley 5 gold for choosing the wrong bed. apparently fines and compensation went a bit far that day, or maybe the gaurd was just a punk but as soon as i paid off the gold i was NAKED! i sat there. perplexed as all getout as to how this could have happened to an upstanding citizen. so here i was naked in Caldera naked from trying to sleep in someone's bed. I think it's a glitch since i bought all the stuff fair and square. guess the imperials have a fetish for Breton balls.
  10. if you want better looking armor you're gonna have to make it yourself, meaning you need a 3d program to make the meshes in. good luck. B) and what's the deal with bashing the post Jazz, it's a good question for anyone who wants to start. i bet this kid is gonna release something rediculous sometime and you'll feel like a total dumbass having not shown some support. <_<
  11. my internet was scewy when i took the quiz and i was reloading to get it to stop FUBARING, well when i finally loaded the page i had accumulated a ton of gold on accident. which sucks cause i think my post count got frozen at 43. so even with all of it it doesn't do me any good. I'm thinking about a contest to some of it away...any ideas?
  12. how i got almisivi spelled right on the first try without consulting anything blows my mind (not giving up which question it was ;) ), guess it's my dumb luck. liked the quiz but there's one tiny problem which i've posted a thread about. scored 80% first try...dunno how, only been playing for like 3 weeks.
  13. cloning gold? almost as bad as the d2 dupes (for those of us on bnet).
  14. The Dumner throws her cloak over herself and stands up. "I'll meet you here in three days with the rest of your troupe, at which point I will know if you will undertake this task. If you are not here then I will assume you do not wish to take part. In either case I bid you farewell." She walks out of the tavern, not addressing the others. Leaving her brandy and glass on the table you notice that on the goblet there are rune engravings, much like those seen around Daedric temples. Dissappearing out of the tavern you're left there with a most intruguing proposition in front of you. Upon further inspection you notice a small satchel lying in the chair where she was sitting.
  15. er sorry about the name change, forgot to switch over if it confused any of you, but that was me with that huge dialouge. i'd hate for it to go to waste over a name.
  16. she looks at you noticing her and motions you to come over to sit with her index finger pulling towards her. setting another glass on the table and pouring some brandy. mouthing, "your move"
  17. Name: Amnakiru Sex: Female Race: Dark Elf Height: 5' 10" Appearance: http://www.geocities.com/blacksunind A dark figure enters the tavern, her body covered by a black cloak dripping wet from a storm that passed by not too long ago. Looking up she glances around the tavern, the candle flickers dance across her face; scanning the tavern she calmy walks over to a quiet corner and motions the bartender over. He leans his ear over to her mouth as she says something and he walks away. Soon he returns with a bottle of vintage brandy and a fine glass. Not something you'd expect to see in a place like this. She pours a glass and begins to sip. Soon she takes off her cloak revealing the armor beneath, and a shimmering sword at one side, with a menacing daedric dagger at the other. Beside her she sets down a bow that was concealed in her cloak. Ringing the water in her cloak out on the floor she tosses it to the chair across from her and sips on her brandy while she glances across the crowd. You notice at several times her eyes are fixated on you.
