  1. So I've been trying to shift my modding to a second laptop, since the screen is shot on the one I've been using. I've got a fresh install of windows and a fresh install of Skyrim LE and the creation kit. However, I have a weird issue where, when editing a mod, I cannot edit text. I'm talking dialogue text, book text, anything. It *feels* like it is specifically the point where the spellcheck tries to run that it just sort of hangs up, and then it won't save the edits when you close the dialogue box. Then after that it won't even open new dialogue boxes either, almost like it's STILL trying to open the spell-checker. Has anyone ever experienced this? Any clue how I would fix it? It seems like a weirdly specific problem, when everything else seems to be working perfectly fine.
  2. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/49473 This is the way.
  3. I believe that white square is a separate mesh that holds the symbol itself. In your texture for the symbol, you need to make sure you've got the background cut out using an alpha map, so only the symbol renders.
  4. Hey, Ghosu! I know this post is a billion years old, but I don't suppose you still have the mesh for that shield floating around somewhere, do you? I'm making a little Arbiter mod and I'd love to use it! I'm not so worried about the "activating" part right now, I'd just like to have the look right. It would be awesome if you still had it somewhere. Let me know, thanks!
  5. Any luck figuring this out? I'm actually trying to do something very similar.
  6. I'm looking for two Voice Actresses for my Here There Be Monsters - Sign of Cipactli mod. Both of them are female Kothringi. One is a young woman who is captured by the Nagas, and gets saved by the Player. The other is an older woman who is a wise shaman and leader of the village. The older one will have a good bit more dialogue, as she is a follower and quest giver. If anybody is interested, please let me know. Thanks!
  7. Keep doin your thing man! Don't worry about people not using your creations; I will be using a bunch of them very soon :-D
  8. Hey there! I realize it's probably way too late, but you might want to check out my mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68259/? It's been around for awhile, but maybe you didn't see it. Enjoy!
  9. I need a male and female voice actor to do a few bits of random dialogue for some assorted NPCs for a Skyrim mod. The NPCs are mostly Argonian, with a few lines needed for Kothringi natives as well. Please message me if you are interested. Again, just a quick bit of random dialogue for 4-5 generic NPCs. Thanks!
  10. VOICE ACTORS NEEDED I'm doing a third installment of my Here There Be Monsters series, and need a few voice actors. The main characters are as follows: Nyx - A sload that has made a pact with the Hist to awaken a giant monster to destroy the world of Men. Gavos Richton - A rich imperial noble whose son gets kidnapped by a cult. He hires the Dragonborn to find his son. Helvo Richton - The son of a rich imperial noble who gets kidnapped by a cult. The Dragonborn comes to rescue him. Kothringi Tribesman - Leader of a primitive tribe of Kothringi raiders, he agrees to help the Player, for a price. The Daughters of the Evening - Three Argonian witches who serve the Sload. There are also some minor characters that I could use some custom random dialogue for: Nagas - Feral, terrifying black-skinned argonian savages. Kothringi - Primitive tribal humans that live in the jungles of Black Marsh. The Legion - A cult of Argonians that follow a Sload and plan to awaken a giant monster. They fashion themselves after the Imperial Legion, wearing scavenged armor and weapons and organizing themselves like a Roman army. Argonian Peasants - I might add a small village of normal native argonians that live in the shadow of the cult, and try to hide its existence. PM me if you're interested in contributing! Thanks! *EDIT* If any women are interested, I would happily rewrite any one of these characters to be female! I just defaulted to male since it seems like there are more male actors in this forum. Let me know! *EDIT* I also needed a few more lines for Call of Cthulhu: -A few lines for an old Sea Elf woman -A few lines for the resurrected ghost of the giant crab Skar.
  11. @Rickvs64 *3 years later* What is the faction called? Any idea if it works on non-dragons?
  12. So I realize I'm probably beating a dead horse at this point, but I need a couple more lines of voice acting for my Here There Be Monsters mod. I need two female survivors, one a nord and one a redguard, and a young boy survivor. Each one only has about 5-6 lines of dialogue. It's not much, but I just can't find ANYONE willing to help out. Please let me know if you're interested! Thanks!
  13. So I'm back again. I need ONE character voiced and my mod will be complete! All I need is 5-6 lines for a young boy who is stranded on the ice. Is anyone willing to do a little kid voice? It doesn't have to be perfect, he's such a minor character. Let me know if you can pull off a little kid and are willing to help out. PM me if interested!
  14. Hello all! Me again. I've gotten almost all of my voice acting completed. I only need a few more minor lines. I still need the following: Female Innsmouth Villager - A creepy colony of inbred part fish Skaal that worship the Deep Ones. Just a few random dialogue lines. Female Nord Guard - A typical nord woman in Dawnstar; fills you in about a grisly murder and some rumors of cultists. Female Argonian Prisoner - A prisoner in R'lyeh waiting to be fed to Cthulhu. Female Khajiit Prisoner - A prisoner in R'lyeh waiting to be fed to Cthulhu. Female Orc Prisoner - A prisoner in R'lyeh waiting to be fed to Cthulhu. Female Human Prisoner - A prisoner in R'lyeh waiting to be fed to Cthulhu. Male Orc Prisoner - A prisoner in R'lyeh waiting to be fed to Cthulhu. Female Nord Survivor - A haggard survivor of a monster attack. Female Redguard Survivor - A haggard survivor of a monster attack. Male Child Survivor - A young, scared, haggard survivor of a monster attack. Deep One - Half human fish men, partially metamorphosed to a Lurker. A few guttural, foreign lines. Ghoul - Strange dog-faced subhuman creatures. Speak a foreign, incomprehensible language. I think that's all I need. I will update this if I see find any additional parts. Please message me if you just want to do a few lines. Every little bit helps!
  15. So it looks like my main female voice actor won't be able to help out for personal reasons. Therefore I also need a talented female voice for two of my main characters: Ghoragdag - A badass orc sea captain. She's a no-nonsense warrior and leader that's sailed all over the western coasts. She never believed in sea monsters . . . until one swallowed her fleet. Tiamat, Chaos of the Sea - Tiamat is the spirit of the chaotic ocean. Cruel and powerful, she is a living storm, an embodiment of fury. She attacks Dawnstar as a colossal storm atronach. After you defeat her she manifests as an icy blue wisp mother. She is broken and stripped of her power, but still proud. She is a goddess. These two are both major characters, and I really need some talented women to pull them off. Please message me if you are interested. All dialogue can be viewed here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1u0w6idAAfk4O7XWSOeb31oV-g7AvbVYvmJtsYxOoXU4
  16. I posted here awhile ago about needing voice actors for my mod, Here There Be Monsters - The Call of Cthulhu: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68259/? Things have been moving along swimmingly, but I still need a bunch of minor characters. I need: -2-3 Male cultists -A female Nord guard -1-2 Innsmouth Females -1-2 Innsmouth Males -1-2 Yellow Sailor Males < Should be the same/similar voice to the Innsmouthers, can be same actor -Posse Leader - A Female Nord & Vigilant of Stendarr -Random Prisoners (Human, Elf, Orc, Khajiit, Argonian; Male & Female) - Only a few lines each -Random Sailors (Human, Elf, Orc, Khajiit, Argonian; Male & Female) - Only a few lines each -1-2 Sea Elf Commoner Males -1-2 Sea Elf Soldier Males -Tattered Survivor - Female Nord -Tattered Survivor - Female Redguard -Tattered Survivor - Male Nord -Tattered Survivor - Male Khajiit -Tattered Survivor - Young Boy All of these character have maybe 5-6 lines at the most. Anyone willing to help out, I would really appreciate it! Message me if you're interested. All dialogue can be viewed here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1u0w6idAAfk4O7XWSOeb31oV-g7AvbVYvmJtsYxOoXU4
  17. Not sure if this is the right place to post requests, but I was told to post this here to reach a broader audience. Sorry if it doesn't belong here. So, I've gotten a lot of interest from people wanting to do some voice acting for my Skyrim mods, Here There Be Monsters and Here There Be Monsters: Call of Cthulhu. This is an open invitation to anybody who is interested in helping out! I do not have the equipment or software to do this kind of recording myself (and it'd be silly if every character had my voice) so I am opening this up to anybody with the ability and "talent" (talent in quotation marks :-D ) to do this sort of thing. I have transcribed all of the dialogue in a google spreadsheet arranged by character. For those of you who have no experience in modding, basically all I need is a WAV file of each individual line of dialogue. I have the required file names in the spreadsheet (the creation kit decides what each file must be named for you); all you have to do is record and save it under that name. Simple as that. If you know anything about audio editing and can clean up the recording, that would be a huge help too. If you're interested, please check it out and decide what characters you want to voice. If you're not familiar with the mod, take a look at my mod pages. I know that may seem like a lot to ask, but there are people who do this all the time and have offered, so if you'd like to help I would definitely appreciate it! I'll keep everything on a first-come basis, but if there's a lot of interest in certain characters I guess we can do some kind of auditions? I'm not really expecting that many volunteers, but who knows. If you're interested, please check it out! (Message me too, so I can keep track of everyone.) I wasn't even going to try to tackle voice acting for this, but hell if enough people are willing to pitch in then let's do it! Thank you all for your continued interest! (And just to clarify, I will not be paying anybody for this. This is purely a volunteer project. I never ask for money for my mods; it's all for fun.) FULL DIALOGUE IS AVAILABLE HERE: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1u0w6idAAfk4O7XWSOeb31oV-g7AvbVYvmJtsYxOoXU4/edit?usp=sharing Here is a quick breakdown of characters: The Hunter - The main character in the mod; you basically become his sidekick. He gives you the extent of the quests, is by your side the whole time. Your typical gruff, haunted sailor character, kind of a mix of Aragorn and Quint from Jaws (if that makes sense.) He will have a lot of dialogue. Captain Gamli - A perpetually drunken sea captain, needs to be hilarious (but in a serious way, not a clown.) I'm imagining a stereotypical Scotch-Irish sailor accent, but not necessarily straight pirate. This could be fun. Captain Ghoragdag - A badass orc women; all business, no bulls***. Anyone wants to try their hand at an female orc voice, be my guest. Captain Guomundr - A mountain of a nord. Deep, haunted, a man of few words. Survivors - A female khajiit, a male wood elf, a female redguard, a male breton, and a male child. These just have a little bit of dialogue. Need each to be a sort of terrified, PTSD survivor. Not necessarily frantic, more deeply shaken. Phorcys - The Shepherd of the Sea, a gigantic Lurker. You appeal to his sensibilities to try and tame Tiamat. This could be anything. Huge, booming, gargling, fishy...I'm open to ideas. Tiamat - This is the living embodiment of the sea, the storm goddess, the chaos mother. You talk to her after you defeat her. She is broken and stripped of her power, but still a goddess. Feminine, but still terrible and slightly noble. I keep envisioning Galadriel's crazy power trip in Fellowship of the Ring, but not nearly that intense. Obviously she's not a big fan of you, so she needs to sound pretty hostile. Abdul Al'hazred - The mad poet, the crazy arab (in this case a Dunmer) who wrote the Necronomicon. For some reason I really want him to sound like Floki from the show Vikings, just batshit crazy and hilarious but also kind of terrifying. Cultist - batshit madmen, similar to the voices of the Miraak Cultist, I think they’re mostly dunmer. Must be able to pronounce Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn :-) Obed Marsh - The leader of Innsmouth/captain of the Yellow King. I'd like the Innsmouthers to have a strange accent (like the heavy new england accent in Lovecraft's books) but I'm not entirely sure how that would even sound. Obed should be little more cultured, seeing as he's the only one that actually deals with normal people. Priest of Dagaan - Similar to Obed, fairly intelligent. Should sound pretty skeezy and creepy too. Innsmouthers & Yellow King Sailors - Same accent, both men and women. Should be almost incomprehensible. Delmus - Typical Telvanni Dark Elf. Desperate, needs your help, so not as much of a dick as usual. Flagg - A wise Skaal shaman who knows a whole lot about the Necronomicon. Something should seem off about him. Nyarlathotep/The Yellow King - I combined Nyarlathotep and Hastur into one character. He needs to be creepy as f*** and evil but intelligent and powerful. Free reign with this one. Also, Yellow King wears a mask, so he should sound slightly muffled. High Priest of Cthulhu - can just be a standard cultist. Sailors - just a few lines of dialogue for random sailors, need a few voice types. Zadok Allen - A alcoholic resident of Innsmouth. Not part of the cult, but knows of their misdeeds. Hermaeus Mora - I’d like him to sound as closely as possible to his vanilla voice. Anyone who’s good at impressions, go for it. Sea Elves - Isolated sea-faring elven race. isolated and distrustful of outsider. Proud, yet more humble than Altmer. Like Altmer, but less . . . douchey. King Orgnum - Immortal king of the Sea Elves. He supposedly ages backwards, so he should sound like a young man, but with the commanding presence and tone of an immortal king. I think that covers everyone. Let me know what interests you!
  18. Ummmm race-wise . . . All Innsmouth residents & Yellow King sailors (including Obed & the priest) are nords (or Skaal, technically) The Cultists are all Dunmer. The High Priest of Cthulhu is a Nord. Gamli is an Imperial. Ghoragdag is an orc. Guomundr is a Nord. The Hunter is an imperial. Delmus is a Dunmer. Flagg is a Skaal. I have screenshots of most main characters if you look on the mod page. I'm not sure if I can label them or not. Personality-wise, I gave the gist of it in the descriptions. You can assume the Innsmouthers are real creepy and unfriendly, the cultists are sadistic and crazy, the sea elves are pretty typical haughty elves, but a bit more distrustful of outsiders. King Orgnum of the sea elves is supposed to seem fairly young, even though he's immortal. So a younger sounding voice, but the commanding presence of an immortal king. If you want more background on someone let me know and I'll tell you some more! Appreciate the interest.

  20. So, I've gotten a lot of interest from people wanting to do some voice acting for my mods, Here There Be Monsters and Here There Be Monsters: Call of Cthulhu. 21. It's not so much the animation of the dragon itself, but the burning away flesh effect that I'm looking for. You're able to apply the ash spawn burning effect to any NPC, I feel like the dragon one should be able to also.
  22. So I know the Dragon Combat Overhaul uses the Alduin death animation for any dragon, and it works (as far as I know.) Does anyone know if you can use a dragon death animation on a non-dragon NPC? From what I can tell, it is governed by the Dragon script that also governs a number of things associated with dragons; perching, divebombing NPCs, etc. Has anyone ever tried that with a non-dragon? I know that Karstaag has a similar animation when you kill him; he disintegrates and you absorb his soul. I've also looked at the ash spawn's death effect (which is a magical ability) and that can make any NPC, regardless of shape, disintegrate into an ash pile. So it's feasible that the Dragon effect (where the skin burns away) could be applied to any NPC as well, but I can't seem to isolate that specific animation. I don't necessarily need the soul-absorbing effect, I really just want the burning up effect. (Ideally I'd like to use Alduin's full dramatic death sequence, but one thing at a time.) Has anyone come up against this? It seems like it should be doable, but I just haven't found the key yet. Please let me know if you can help! Thanks!
  23. Second this. Can't believe this wasn't the first mod that came out.
  24. I can't believe this hasn't been done yet. This game IS Blade Runner.
  25. Huh. Apparently I never actually learned how to use TES5Edit this whole time. That was a really easy fix. Thanks for the tip!
