Fallout 4 - All Companion Locations Guide
breakwind replied to fendr's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Dogmeat is a nuisance. Has got me crippled a few times now, once he started a mine beeping then blocked my exit so I couldn't escape and my arms both got blown off. Worse AI than ED-E -
How long did you last before your first death?

Mod Request - Remove Radroach

...and Dogmeat -
I didn't like the DB in Skyrim as much as in Oblivion. I mean the questline was alright, but I just felt as if I was never accepted, Astrid and her dog despised me and the others seemed suspicious. In Oblivion they treated you as one of their own after the initial induction, so much so that killing them all was an emotional experience...except for the Cat..and he accepted me as a brother just before I assassinated him. I know that that was the feel bethesda were looking for, that the DB and Thieves guild were on the verge of extinction, and the DB were in a shambles with no Listener, but I would have preferred a strong DB where becoming the Listener was indeed an esteemed honour

Yes. Even when a gang of hired thugs attack you in town the guards just become spectators

Think I remember that name from Civ V?

Endorsing a mod because they thought the page was pretty....made me laugh  One good thing about using the NMM is that it lets you know whether you have endorsed a mod or not

So, there i am on the road from Riften heading towards Windhelm and I pass a farmer heading towards Riften..."I'm on my way to Windhelm to join the Stormcloaks...Ulfric has the right of it." Ok....so someone has had a joke giving him direction's

Elder Scrolls and Real Life Cultures
breakwind replied to nightinglae850's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Yes I agree. You could relate most of the races to a myriad of 'real' cultures and peoples. For instance, the OP has the Altmer based on the Chinese, but to me they resemble a more fascist culture. Of course, if you are American, chances are you will relate some races/aspects of the game to your location, such as the references to the Native Americans -
I recall going to that camp once or twice in the many character's I have played, but as I have only done the Stormcloak side a couple of times, I'm guessing maybe it becomes empty after the battle?
-
If you haven't discovered them yet, you have to be near them to see them in your hud and have to discover them to enable them to show up on the map, other than the ones that are part of the questline of course

I'm not really into RPG's as such, although my favourite genre, FPS, is probably a pure form of roleplaying. My limited experience of RPG games is that you play the role of the character designed for you, as you point out mellophonist, whereas in Elder Scroll games, at least the ones I have played, once you have done the initial start, you can be whatever your imagination wants you to be. So whether you are playing a role in strict accordance with the lore of the game, or for example, a time-traveller from a parallel universe you can do it. It is still roleplaying, and I don't think that is dying off...hence the volume of mods....and the people downloading them

Every time I get the Subterfuge power after finishing the Thieves Guild, it's straight to the College and try it out on Ancano. In TGM of course so I can use it again and again. I can't help it and am always sad when I finish the College quest and my 'playmate' is dead
-
Depends on what is meant by 'roleplaying'. Some like to transform into a character relative to the lore of a game, other's like to transfer their own persona into a game

Hahaha! I do the second thing, but only to that general merchant in Whiterun. YES! Me too, that guys is such a grumpy gus. It's fun to rattle his cage, lol. That was my first ritual in Skyrim

Forsnworn conspirasy: can't get rid of bounty
breakwind replied to laamanaator's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Must have been something enjoyable to get a bounty of that size  -
The Stormcloaks are just a storm in a teacup and will be recorded as a mere uprising in the next annals of Tamriel history, and of secondary importance to the real issues of Alduin's return and the tension's between the Empire and the Thalmor

Skyrim: the Sun Worshippers Paradise!
breakwind replied to comicauthor's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I think you could imagine that Grelod has had her face done...it's just that it was worse before...I mean the Face Sculptor does only charge a thousand gold  -
Yes, there are a lot of things I miss from Oblivion, I agree Alchemy was better. Sometimes when I am wondering around Skyrim I forget myself and start jumping again
-
I have had dozen's of random dragon encounter's , some times too many
-
Bit hard to compare, as they were both made in different times, would Skyrim have been better than Oblivion if it came out in 2006? And vice versa. I miss Oblivion, but I don't think I could play it again now. Now, if Bethesda took the best parts out of both Oblivion and Skyrim and made a game, it would be spectacular

An informative article about Female Boob armor...
breakwind replied to Sardonnicus's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
There are some who are frightened to use their imagination and need confinements to feel comfortable, they like being in a square and can't think outside of it. Whether or not female armour existed in our real world's history, should have no bearing on a imagined world. Just let it go and be imaginary...that's what escaping is all about -
I just unclick the quest in the journal and most times the quest marker disappears

Insisting on Lore, your Mod is too weird for TES
breakwind replied to daventry's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
The whole thing around the lore of the game is making choices, do I believe the empire to be right? Or the Stormcloaks? Or maybe even the Thalmor...some can go down that track. There is lore to support all 3..if you want to. It's my choice if I want to be an Imperial soldier or a Stormcloak or a messenger of death assassin or a greedy thief or a milk drinking Nord Companion or even a hot rod driving skimpy Wonder-Woman costume wearing hulk of an Orc with an umbrella for a weapon...it's my lore in my game and I thank the modder's that there are mods to fullfil any kind of fantasy, and prolong the games experience, more power to them -
I can't understand the problem with this, mankind's own history is full of religous atrocities, why should a fictitional world loosely based on a similar history be any different? If you think the game is laughing at you because it is making you feel uncomfortable, try seeing what is happening in the real world outside your door....at least you can turn the game off
