So I'm starting up ModLoader and I get this error message: The thing is though, I'm not trying to delete anything...I can still run the program, I'm just worried that this could lead to more problems if it turns out to be an error in the program. Anyone have experience with this kind of thing?

I did a shift-delete of my Skyrim folder, then uninstalled in Steam, and re-downloaded Skyrim when I reinstalled. Try playing without any mods/Script Extender at first. Then check out this guide: http://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited You don't have to use the high graphics mods, I didn't.

Imagine how much grinding you would have to do to get your conjuration that high by level 10 as well...I mean what is the skill requirement to have the storm atronach tome to even start appearing?

Unfortunately, not...magic can only crush traditional weapons... :devil: I recommend SPERG also, its a fun mod for spellcasters, rogues, and fighters alike. :)

I don't think you even need to be seen at all. I've gone into an empty house, stolen a few things, and then had the thugs sent after me. I think the game just assumes that the only guy who wanders between cities is the guy that steals from people. :P Nope. No quest, all you can do is administer your own "justice", and then accept the consequences if you're caught. :P

I found her in the bed chamber area. I passed her at night(10 PMish) while she was on her way to the tavern, and she never showed up in her house after I found her journal. I beat the angry mob to Movarth's lair also, but I'm not sure if that matters or not.

I was doing the quest in Morthal where you're solving the crime of who burnt down the house in the city, and Alva escapes to Movarth's Lair. I get to the lair and I get to Movarth, I hit him with some fire magic and he retreats to his bedroom with me hot on his trail. When I get there, Alva and 2 thralls are waiting. The two thralls attack of course, but to my surprise, Alva helps ME and joins combat against her former master. We kill the 3 and I gotta say I'm feeling pretty satisfied at this happier ending, even if it was a glitch. :)

Or they could be rogue members of the Morag Tong. The conspirators would have had some pull with certain members of the house anyway, so its conceivable they would be able to request aid from factions in the house that have a bone to pick with House Redoran. And SKSE added a ton of scripts into my Skyrim data folder after I installed it...should I delete those? negative :kiss: Alright so don't delete them...I followed the instructions on Neovalen's page and everything is working so far!! I still haven't gotten to the 10 hour point but here's hoping. :) Is the first no to installing Sexlab? :mellow:

Which version? The latest version of the XP-32 skeleton requires ragdolls to work.

Did you transfer your games to your new hard drive? And how did you transfer them?

Well I just started a new game and right out of Bleak Falls, I can't load my save. I cleaned everything and disabled mods before starting. The file size is 5.6 MB and was close to that size for the last 3 autosaves(which I could load before I quit Skyrim). I've been playing this game for 3 hours so far. I may have to try a clean install. :sad:

The effects are what give the performance boost as far as I understand. I also use ENB.

You could probably just change the alpha value of the body in a program like nifskope. It wouldn't affect armor or weapons, but would make the body transparent.

Yeah, I've heard a lot about Notepad ++. My Java instructor recommends it, so is it easy to use? And how would I make it compatible with papyrus scripting? And um...anyone know of a way to make NPCs with the extra sliders/customizations added by enhanced character edit?

Awesome, thanks! I was worried I'd have to use a third party editor every time I wanted to write a script. On a side note, do you know why Bethesda changed the internal script editor when they made the Creation Kit? I know it wasn't like that in Morrowind, Oblivion, or Fallout New Vegas. :ermm:

My first question: I've scripted for Oblivion and Morrowind, and read through the "official" scripting intro...but for the life of me can't figure it out. There seem to be fragments pre-written, that you can use, but how do you write your own scripts? You need an external program right? And if I do, I'd like one that can compile my scripts and warn me about mistakes. My second question: Is there anyway to use enhanced character edit mods for creating NPCs in the creation kit? The default options seem very limited to me.

Could it be an intended effect from a perk mod? I know SPERG has a perk that sometimes doubles a destruction spell you cast.

I'm running a legit Skyrim. ;) I bought the $59.99 legendary edition from Steam a few weeks ago. Alright, I can start a new game just fine, my saves just get busted after +10 hours of playing.

Alright, I did it but I don't think it helped my save. Still crashes on load screen. :( The only file I haven't cleaned is the alternative start, and that should have dirty edits right?

And nope, I've been using UFO since I started my game. Thanks and I'll check out ragdoll and the cleaning tool. Edit: I don't see anything in Ragdolls that would cause a conflict.

Ok, so I'm experiencing crashes whenever I try to load my game(1-2 seconds after the first load screen pops up)...I haven't changed load orders, active mods, anything externally. My save file is 6.7 MB and I've spent 15 hours in the game so far. Normally I would be happy to move on and start a new game, but this is the third time this has happened to me. It seems to happen after I've been playing a game for a little while: this time it happened near Solitude, the last time it happened in Whiterun Keep, and before that just outside of Whiterun. The only common thing is the amount of time invested. Won't someone please, please help me? :ermm: I can post the save if that would help(and if its allowed of course). Oh and one other thing, I'm using SKSE.
