  1. I've been away from Skyrim for a (really long) while and thought before I started again I would check and see if there has been anything created yet to replace the Vampire Lords with something other than a hideous monster. I'm guessing not, because I figure if such a thing did exist it would be among the most popular with "vampire lord" in the description and I didn't find anything by searching, but I thought I'd ask. Also if there is a male body replacer that isn't burly, I'm all ears. I use Beautiful Better (my bad) Males, but in Oblivion I use Slof's skinniest body and it has made me spoiled, so I'm interested in something less buff.
  2. If you don't want to bother with the legendary skills (I haven't use it yet, but resetting your most-relied-upon skills back to 15 with no bonuses or anything in the middle of gameplay doesn't sound very appealing to me) I just use the Uncapper. you can change the level cap for skills and how quickly they level (since skills after level 100 are tediously slow to gain).
  3. That sounds pretty tedious, although not all that difficult to accomplish, except for making it so that you couldn't loot people. Tons of leveled lists to edit. I'd be interested in seeing it. Can you think of a realistic reason why you would be unable to loot enemies, though? I can't, and that would bother me. Maybe making it instead that they all wore lower-level gear that people wouldn't be that interested in looting instead?
  4. The 1st one is a missing master file. It seems like one of the mods you uninstalled was required for a mod you're still using, so when the game tries to load the mods it crashes. For the 2nd one, Helgen is notoriously touchy, so you should maybe deactivate all of your mods that don't have to do with character creation until after you get out of Helgen. I had a problem there where the dragon wouldn't land, and I don't think there's much you can do except abandon that save and try again without mods active.
  5. I think that Placeable Statics is what you need.
  6. If you want to get rid of it you should probably figure out which mod added it. I don't have any idea what it might be, so you have the old standby of deactivating them one at a time to find it.
  7. This problem ties in with the problem in this thread: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/744479-strange-high-level-thief-random-encounter-near-riverwood-with-guild-master-armor/ The latest post in that thread gives some other threads about it, and suggests three mods that might be at fault: Improved Skyforge, Castle Grey, ad 7K Better Whiterun. There seems to be something about the thieves guild that make it really fragile or something. If you have any of those, or a house near Riften (that was what one person said was the problem but they couldn't remember what it was) try turning them off.
  8. Wow, I figured there would be a lot more CBBE support 'round this poll, at least by the screenshots I see. I use UNP because I want the female characters to look good enough to play one once in a while, but I don't really care about their sex appeal, and CBBE doesn't immediately look like it ha any purpose beyond sex appeal. I never really notice it now, whih is how I like it (although I'm sure I would regret it if I stopped using it).
  9. If you don't want to spend the time redownloading everything, replacing the Data folder is a little less clean but will work. It has the benefit of putting SKSE back for you an keeping your settings. (Honestly, it's how I'd do it, even if it is a shortcut.) You don't have to remove the game from your other computer or mess with any Steam files or anything, though; when you install Steam you can tell it to download all of your games onto the new computer. It doesn't care if it's installed on others, it just won't let you be logged in on more than one.
  10. Well, it sounds like the first one you want is Frostfall. It makes the weather affect you and lets you go camping. Wet and Cold goes with it well. You also probably want UFO or AFT, plus Convenient Horses, for your followers. I don't use followers so I can't give an opinion on which is better. A lot of the city expansion ones look kind of unstable or are abandoned, but I searched "Whiterun" and got a few that looked interesting, so I can just suggest doing that. Also, I'd say you should look through GEMS, which is a guide to excellent mods.
  11. That sounds pretty neat. (I'm sure if you're the type of person who wants to use a superhero overhaul, you won't find something like getting super-armor stupid. :P ) It's a big undertaking, so good luck. ^^
  12. Have you tried Elaborate Textiles? I haven't. I'll go check it out, thank you. :)
  13. Unfortunately Tasgar doesn't actually travel, as such - he's a random event, just appearing there like M'aiq the Liar. However, I remember doing this for one of my vendor NPCs I made, I think it was setting up a schedule. (Sorry, it's been a few months, I don't have details.) I think it was copying travel package from, say, a farmer who goes out to tend his fields at a certain time, and modifying it so that they would travel to different cells. I chose Inns just because it was simple.
  14. If you want the basket to be a container where you can store your apples, you'd duplicate, say, a barrel, then change the model to point to the mesh (which you should have in your ".../Data/meshes" folder). They don't show up in the CK by themselves, because like you said, they're only meshes, you just have to make something else point to them.
  15. For your under-evals, I say definitely use ASIS. I can't imagine playing without it ^^; It's the only one of them I have experience with, unless that's the Radiance mod I sort of went away from because it looked abandoned. Highlighting mods for and/or by females is a good idea, too. ^--^
  16. So I made a new character, and he's very pretty. I got him looking all nice, and then he's wearing vanilla clothes which look like they haven't been washed since the second age. It's pretty jarring. Is there a texture replacer that just makes all the clothes and maybe armor look clean? I haven't had any luck looking.
  17. Does causing the spell to delete the old dead one and spawn a new goat not work? If you want to have them around for eating purposes ( :P) I can't imagine it's that important to keep their relationships or anything.
  18. Is this the one you wanted? Invisibility spell now permanent
  19. I don't have anything useful to say, but I'm watching this because I want to know these things. Which reminds me... There was a post where someone demonstrated how to use nooses and they had dead people in them. I'm going to find that and and bring it back here. They person might be able to help. Edit: Here it is. They're able to have them dead by using the "stars dead" check box, and stay in the noose. I can't explain it, but maybe there's a clue there...
  20. That looks frustrating @_@ I just use a My Home is Your Home workaround if I want people to live places. I guess that does require you to make sure your spouse is a follower.
  21. I'm actually dying for a Valenwood game, but I voted Summurset Isle because it's only rational; given the difficulty in properly creating the forests of Valenwood and the plot that we've seen (*ahem*Thalmor) I can't see another area being next. Summurset has the most reasonable landscape of the remaining provinces and the most obvious plot, so it's the next logical step.
  22. I don't know, but I don't see any reason why they would do anything differently even though you can't adopt them. There probably isn't a check on the number you have adopted until you actually go adopt another one.
  23. If you get the male pack for Apachii Sky Hair there are lots of pretty hairstyles, but there are also male little faux-hawks and things that can reasonably be worn under a helmet. You just have to get through the flouncy flowy bits.
  24. CK is the Creation Kit, which is basically how all modding is done. If you wanted to replace clothes in the game with those mods' clothes you would basically do like I said before, except you wouldn't have to make it... If you download those mods, their models will be in the "meshes" folder, so in the CK you can find the clothes you want to replace and make it point to a different model - say if you wanted the Beggar outfit to turn into the Patchwork armor everywhere in the world, just changing that in the base would change all of them. I think that's the easiest way.
  25. You might do better asking for help on the mod's comments... It looked straightforward enough and you said you used NMM to install it, so if it's not working someone who hasn't used it is maybe unlikely to know why.
