About the maglir death, this quest has a bug that althought Maglir is a member of nBalckwood company the games still consider him as a member of fightGuild. So the best way to avoid this problem is to make other npc kill him, exit the building and go to the FightGuild and the npc there will help you and kill Maglir. Or use the console command ( on pc) to kill him. So if you thin it's worth reload and try this.

It wasn't the Palestinians who began that war but the Arabs nations, that was against the creation of both of the Palestinians and JEw countriers , as the JEWs resist arabs began to use the Palestinians as puppets and thus ended in this situation.
