The thing with the neck seams is that I've started over several times, checked the CK, all to no avail. I'm not too bothered by the seams. And just a quick question since I don't want to make a new topic just yet: Is it possible to get Serana to work with PCEA? If so, how? I made a custom race based upon nords, made sure almost everything was identical, but for some reason Serana likes to float in mid-air about 10 feet off the ground while arching her back and throwing her head back in normal idle position. As soon as I draw my weapon, she draws hers, and at the same time quickly returns to earth like nothing happened. Then when I sheath my weapon, she goes right back to her floating position. Anyone got any idea as to what could cause this?

I use the erect version and younger faces merged with men (no beard). Maybe I'm using the wrong normalmaps, let me see if that solves it...

Woops, I actually found the "Real" culprit. Apparently I had a behaviour file that wasn't really a behaviour file in the behaviour folder. Here's a tip guys: Listen to FNIS!

Thanks for the CoT tip. The necks seams are on both myself and male NPCs. I have all the appropriate textures/meshes installed, yet I get a seam anyways. I really don't think I'll ever figure that one out to be honest. And I found the conflict! PCEA seems to have a bug in it, so I'll just tell the author and use an old version for now.

Well, for me there's this major problem, male neck seams, and lights are too dim at night. There doesn't seem to be a real fix for neck seams for males, as everywhere I look the solution seems to be "hurr durr just keep screwing around with texture replacers", and the dim lights I'll just have to deal with. As far as your character hovering above the ground, I think it could be an animation problem. Maybe your idle replacer (assuming you use one) is incompatible with other custom animations you have installed?

Yeah, I don't know why I didn't think of doing that before. Stupid me. Thanks for replying though, I'll try that and give you an update.

So I've even tried other custom races, and they still make the game crash when I use the grindstone. Given my load order and my BOSS report, could anyone help me figure out what is causing this please?

Well, nothing I've tried so far has worked with fixing grindstone CTDs. I notice that they only happen when I use a custom race, though I can't figure out why. Would someone PLEASE help me, because as it is Skyrim is literally unplayable right now. Thanks.

Honestly, NMM kinda sucks IMO anyways. I always install manually. Sure it's more cumbersome to uninstall, but you have more control.

Basically, the BOSS team messed up when they made the latest masterlist. For all I know, this problem could already be resolved as I type this, but in case no one has noticed yet, now you know. Alright. I think I may have found the problem. I (foolishly) tried to merge Stones of Barenziah Locations with Sound of Barenziah into the SoBL .esp a while ago. I noticed it didn't have the effect I desired, yet it didn't do anything harmful. More recently I installed Climates of Tamriel, which has sound components. Then I had to download compatibility patches for it to work with Sounds of Skyrim. I guess somewhere in the process the fact that I just straight up merged the files and went with it caused CTDs. Note: I am NOT sure if this is what was causing my CTDs. I'll give you guys an update when I can. EDIT: Nope. Still getting CTDs. I seriously don't know why because I installed all my mods correctly, .esp/.bsa and loose alike. I always check comments to see if the mod in question has any glaring problems, and I practice all those good user habits. I just don't know what to do. EDIT(2): Now it runs fine, except it still CTDs whenever I use the grindstone. ANY grindstone.

Thing is, I know for a fact it isn't my system. I've been able to run the game just fine. Got a decent gfx card, and I'm gonna get a better processor soon too. It has to be a mod problem, there's really no other explanation. I've also tried starting new games, all to no avail. I guess I just have to keep dorking with it until either I or someone else comes up with a solution.

No, I don't mess around with uGridsToLoad anymore. My save games open, but then they crash when entering certain areas. This all started to happen a few days ago. Yes, I tend to install mods in batches unfortunately, so I don't have a clue as to which mod could be causing the CTDs. Here's the log.

Well, here's basically my log if that's what you're asking for. The warning with the uskp_addon should be ignored, as BOSS incorrectly believes that the current addon is in the current USKP. The Jaysus warning is also incorrect, as I've gotten the exact patch it directs me towards. I've installed it, and it still gives me that warning. Also, I reorganize my load order after running BOSS so as to place unrecognized mods in the correct order with other mods.

Nope, still got the mod installed. And it worked before, and I can spawn her near me without a crash, so I don't think it's that particular mod. I'm thinking it could be Alternate Start, or Interesting NPCs causing the crash. I don't know what else could be affecting that specific space. So far, no other cell has caused me to crash.
