  1. cheers! looks like it's "based defined in: ccbgssse054-ba_orcish.esl"
  2. how come when you take a drug there's no MCM nor skyui showing you what drug addiction levels you have for each? it's not like you can check your magic effects for lingering addictions that aren't 'active' in the debuff sense.
  3. okay, sleuths! here's a one that might stump you: Which mod is responsible for placing a locked chest in embershard mine that's in the forge area? It can't be picked nor does the 'embershard mine key' work on it.
  4. edit: other armors are having this effect as well. at this time unknown which ones
  5. So i've run bodyslide a few times, checked the output meshes folder and it's there. Still no joy when i start new games...torso is invisible. if i strip naked i see my body. if i additemmenu any other armor i see my body again. i've reinstalled both cbbe and bodyslide mods, deleted my output mesh folders and reran bodyslide for both male and female outfits. i've reinstalled both compendium patch mods, because xEdit seems to show that the roughspun prisoner's outfit is in WACCF. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19518 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18369 I ran Wrye Bash with the WACCF leveled list mod active, then ran MatorSmash with the WACCF leveled list mod inactive. started new game. still no joy.
  6. https://youtu.be/gDfQzLWdOws For some strange reason hair 81 is missing a portion in the back. The only hair mod i have is HDT-SMP racemenu hairs and wigs plus the 3BA add on. I've run bodyslide, ofc. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/43120?tab=bugs&BH=0 i've tried both merging the add on, and placing it below the mod itself. still the same issue. The bug section has a notation about something similar and the mod author stated it was something to do with 'diffuse' (whatever that means)
  7. In response to post #43356030. #43356085 is also a reply to the same post. NeMO i think you're on to something.
  8. i've seen the 'merit-based class assignment' mod (it's sadly obsolete) and i'm hoping for instructions how to modify this for long war 1.0 I know how to change their class via console, but i'd really like to skip that step for a bit more immersion and have the game do it for me. May i please get someone to describe how i go about modding this? or at least where to start so i don't get sidetracked and lost. Thanks.
  9. i try changing brightness in game settings for basic skyrim and nothing happens...this dungeon is bright as day. wtf. http://imgur.com/a/ytoeK
  10. is there a console command to forget a recipe in alchemy? i prefer to only make potions i have a use for, and the skyUI selection is great for remembered recipes, but i'd rather not have that 'fortify marksman+negative effect'
  11. hahaha ...omg in desperation i actually tried opening task manager using ctr alt del then back to skyrim main load...and it actually worked. lol. so used to troll posts claiming fixes. I'd done something stupid (deleted some actual folders instead of going through MO) involving bodyslide and .nifs yeah, real smart. got infinite main screen load no matter what i tried to fix the problem. let's see if i can 'continue'...oh wierrrrrddd...i'm getting the double cursor problem, but i have the mod that fixes it installed. wtf? okay, music and long looooading screen...come on no CTD *crosses fingers* okay, so i tried clicking the frozen screen and i got the "close program or wait" and i tried the wait then tried again and picked "further details" and suddenly i'm ingame. ----- i quit and restart and the problem is solved. so bizarre. I wish i could tell you the 'why' this worked but i don't know. So to anyone out there who's terrified they'll have to reinstall the game and all 200 mods they've been slowly installing, there's hope. lol
  12. ahhh...might have misunderstood you, but...here's my take: when you first reinstall skyrim you need to launch it as you would if playing vanilla so as to initialize the ini files needed by all sorts of mods, which you won't get if you launch via nmm/mo. at least, that's what i can remember. solution? dunno. try launching skyrim via steam first, to get the vanilla launcher opening, before dicking around with the mod stuff?
  13. I recommend looking at this mod he talks about because in that mod the author mentions infinite loading screen and info about 'safety load' mod, which i'm sure you've tried
  14. my first go-to in that situation where a save game is being just really annoying is try to start a new game (alternative start mod is perfect for this) and load that old save straight from that first room in the new game. my other suggestion is to use USLEEP which makes the other unofficial patches redundant, since a lot of new updates to mods lately are tuned to...and it looks like you're using MO, so just uncheck the other unofficials once uslep installed. nice small mod collection there, btw. also, try this out: (in that mod listed it talks about infinite load bug and the 'safety load' mod as well. quite helpful info)
  15. try the mod "body slots" which helps you find out what equipment bits are using the same 'slot' i'm honestly not quite sure how to edit such equipment slot assignments, but i'm sure eventually i'll be curious enough to find out
  16. huh. will have to try that then. thanks
  17. if you're using MO, try temporarily disabling some of those whiterun improvements, and the high res texture stuff, and see if that's the culprit. My comp can't run that stuff without load time suffering majorly (so i just accept a low res skyrim)
  18. loading from main menu, or loading a new zone ingame? I'm assuming the latter. Did you recently add high resolution textures of some sort to the game
  19. all i know is that i would get waaaay longer load times when i tried to install the optimized pseudo high res textures on my rickety machine. It definitely doesn't like Hi-Res. So i'm guessing anything that overstretches your computer's capabilities results in long load times. i tried googling for some answers but GODS the amount of bullshit troll posts on the subject.
  20. strange. one would assume running FNIS would solve that animation issue. i'm kinda fledgling modder so i could be totally off base, but it does make some sort of sense
  21. "PCEA - 0 - DG and DB DLC - All Races.esp" what the heck is this? OMG LOL. you have both pcea1 and pcea2. haha. that might be your problem
  22. you're welcome. hmmm...PCEA2 is very powerful in it's functionality. read up on how to manually insert your chosen animation mods into it's folder system (that way you can activate via MCM)...that way you can remove the 'mods' and stick with the internal pcea2 options.
  23. do you mean you're standing on it?
  24. definitely possible to run mods in 2016. in fact, it's even easier. Problem is, which of the popular mods are obsolete (but most endorsed) and which underrated mods out there are worth checking out? For myself, modding is easy because i don't go for any HD, 2k or 4k graphics, zero ENBs, and as little overhauls as possible. I have decided to avoid follower mods, quest mods, new locations/buildings mods, and generally stick to the one that merely improve the player character experience in a close to vanilla skyrim world as possible. If you can focus on a definite goal you're doing great. I have about 150 active mods; i use mod organizer; I attack any bug ruthlessly and change/drop mods that bring up problems for me. It's taken me about 3 weeks of heavy modding skyrim since reinstalling on a new harddrive, and i'm finally playing the game more than modding. lol As for STEP? i don't think i've ever used it. I stick to youtube tutorials about the very basic stuff needed by everything (i prefer gamerpoets over Gopher)
  25. so anyone know what to even call this kind of graphical glitch? (see attached file)...if i can get some kind of name for it i can start googling the subject and continue on from there
