Adjusting Isize seems to have done the trick. At least with the limited amount of testing I've been able to do. Thank you for your help. It the problem returns I'll probably go back to this thread.

Braith wants me to adopt her? what!?
WakahisaSensei replied to ArabWarFighter's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
So...in theory. If I added Braith to that faction (mentioned in several posts above), could I induce this problem? What you are all trying to fix, I want to cause. -
I do have the script extender. I launch the script extender via Mod Organizer (which I have used before with great results). As far as I can tell I'm doing everything exactly the same as I did last time but getting entirely different results.

Instructions for making a simple mod
WakahisaSensei replied to WakahisaSensei's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Thank you very much. -
Set the resolution for your monitor to lower settings to see if that helps. I enjoyed your theorem on magic. 2k resolution for mods in your list may cause an overload when VRAM swaps to your CPU and RAM. How much Vram does your video card have? If you have a higher resolution video card now and you haven't tweaked the ini's for it, that can also cause your CTD's. Not really sure how much Vram I have. What Ini settings would I need to change exactly? I thought I had changed my Ini settings but maybe I did it wrong. And thank you regarding the magic thing. It's actually a discussion I have surprisingly often these days.

That's kind of my point though. It's subjective. What is magic to us years ago is no longer. What may be magic to us today may not be in the future. In fact what may not be magic to some of us today, may still be to others. Furthermore I've seen some amazing advances in the field of medicine and I understand generally how it works. Does that make it any less magical just because I know how it works? Maybe, but maybe not. To some people, that jeep may still be magical even in this era. To some people from the 1800's, that jeep may not be magical even if it is to most of their peers. Sure, they don't understand it. But they might assume there is a science behind it rather than magic. What is considered "Sufficiently advanced" to be "magical" is subjective and a lack of understanding may not necessarily lead to the assumption of magic. Understanding may not mean that it isn't magic. In this case I could argue that all technology is "sufficiently advanced" to someone, and therefor all technology can be considered magic. I agree, perspective has a LOT to do with it.... We consider ourselves an 'advanced' civilization, but, are we really? The only thing we have to compare ourselves to, is our own history. So, in that sense, yes indeed, we have come a long way. Now, some alien sitting in his interstellar craft, looking down on our 'crude' rockets, would likely have a different opinion on that. And in that same vein, the tribals that live isolated on some little island, that just used bows/arrows to kill an 'invader' (stupid american) would look at our society, and technology, and swear up and down that it is indeed 'magic'. And there could be at least one in that tribe who does not see us as magic. And at least one alien who does see us as magic, despite his more advanced nature.

As the title says, I'm at a complete loss for causes. The game CTDs constantly. On startup, trying to load the file, and if I move through the world too quickly (IE repetitive whirlwind sprint or a flight mod). I often have to start the game about 3 times before the load sticks and I can play and sometimes it just crashes. It's the exact same setup I used last time but on a newer and better computer. I'm using exactly the same mods on a fresh install, files that needed cleaning are cleaned, ENBoost is installed and ENB graphics are turned off. Everything is up to date, Mod Organizer is functioning properly, INI's are all set, and Tes5edit shows no mod conflicts. Load order is exactly the same as last time. So why am I getting so many CTDs? Why does it work better on my older computer when the setup is exactly the same? The only thing I can possibly think of is that SKSE's scripts are somehow messed up or misplaced (but I've done this tons of times and sometimes the game does start so I doubt that very much) or that somehow the mods are conflicting and TESedit won't show it as anything significant. I'd also like to mention that while the game is playing, there is no sign that any of the mods aren't active or functioning. All of the mods function exactly as intended with zero glitches. There is also no warning of CTD it just happens. As I said above, this is a fresh install of Skyrim. The mods listed below are the only ones that have been installed. No mods were ever installed or deleted. Load order: EDIT: I enabled Crash logs via the Mod Organizer Ini editor but I cannot find where the logs are being placed. I imagine they would be helpful.

Whats your all time favorite RPG game.
WakahisaSensei replied to drmfreezone's topic in Classic Games
It is FF7, and I suspect it always will be (either the original or some form of it). The music won me over more than anything and I loved the world. That said, I do acknowledge quite a few of the complaints about the game. Still my favorite though. -
There are quite a few answers to give on this. Some say sufficiently advanced technology is magic. I would argue that makes all technology magic, as what qualifies as "sufficiently advanced" is both subjective and can change with time. So what may be "sufficiently advanced" to me may not be to you and vice versa. Furthermore, this phrase can be taken to imply that it is the lack of understanding of a technology that makes something magic. But just because you DO understand something doesn't necessarily make it any less magical. I have a friend who views magic as his ability to take intended actions, and manifest it as reality (or some such thing). In a way it boiled down to "magic" being his word for "faith" or "prayer" in the religious sense. I see that answer as being not more or less valid than the above regarding technology. As to whether or not I personally think magic exists, I could say yes or no. I follow a form of nihilism and the easiest way to state my opinion is that magic is neither more or less real than anything else that may or may not exist. A great deal of it depends on definitions that may not exactly be agreed upon. If we're going with the traditional sense of magic (as in wands and spells etc) than I would say no, it does not exist (or at the very least it has ceased to exist).

Erm, no. You don't need premium to download from here.... Millions of folks do it on a regular basis. What exactly does premium do? It's never been made clear to me.

I want to create a very small sound replacement mod for a friend. Might upload it up onto nexus if it works out. But, I've never done sound replacement. Anyone want to give me a simple step by step of what I'd have to do? I already have the sound file I want to work with. Does it need to be in a specific format or size? What tools will I need to do this? Specifically I want to replace the sound of dragons breathing fire (and perhaps a player shout as well).

Missing Plugins in Mod Organizer
WakahisaSensei replied to WakahisaSensei's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
For anyone encountering a similar problem, reinstall Skyrim. It sucks but it was the only way to get MO2 to see everything. Apparently there is something I could have done with steam to get it to recognize the missing pieces but it wasn't working (and I didn't really understand the instructions as they were given to me). More or less functional now but a lot of CTD. I would guess I did something else wrong in my process. May need to start completely from scratch. -
It sees skyrim, it sees my mods, it does not see update.esm or any of the DLC. I cannot find a way to force it to detect them. What is going on?
-
EDIT: Disregard this. I had an outdated version for some reason.

I've used this mod before without trouble. I'm redoing all my mods/install because I'm on a new computer. However, eyes of aber is giving me a sort of messed up eye mesh when I try to use custom eyes with CBBE. I'm not sure what's causing this but it gives the characters eyes a glazed over look and a second set of eyelashes mid eye. This is occurring with Vanilla races. My current load order. Have not actually started to play yet as I'm still setting things up. But this sudden glitch I've never had before is a pain.

Well, recreating it might be difficult considering certain rules about another madders works. However, if you know the name of the mod in the picture (and it isn't on nexus), you might be able to find it from another source. For example, one of the mod authors I followed has his own website for armors they make in addition to nexus. Some of their mods are only available on their own site. So if you do a google search you might find this mod. Creating someone else's work from scratch is unlikely for a variety of reasons. One being copyright law, not to mention why would a modder want to do that? That said, you might find a modder willing to do their own take on the idea. That armor is quite nice. I might look for it myself. If I find it, I'll post a link.

new to modding and looking for help/suggestions
WakahisaSensei replied to IamSadBoy's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
A good idea would be to first familiarize yourself with the tools and what their purposes are. Things such a LOOT (a load order sorting tool), TES5edit (Which I'm still learning), SKSE (a script extender needed by more complex mods), FNIS (for animations) etc. It also depends on your play style. Do you want a beautiful Skyrim like so many? Are you like me who has an ugly Skyrim but top notch performance? Do you want to focus on new game play features? Do you want to try to balance those or lean on a particular direction? Do you have a particular gameplay character style you usually go for (I.E. do you frequently play vampires, werewolves, elves, etc.)? All these things can effect what might suit your needs. Also, it is important to keep in mind that some mods require others to function. These can be found in the requirements tab on each mod page. (Make sure your reading the right part. It will also list "mods requiring this file" and many people mistake the two as being the same initially.) If you can refine what specifically you want to do with your modding (as well as any concerns you have) we might be able to make things easier for you and offer recommendations. For me there was a great deal of trial and error (and reinstalling) before I learned all the necessary tools and their uses/limitations. But there are plenty of video tutorials and written tutorials that can help. -
Definitely check Apocrypha shouts then. It might not have all the ones you want, but it has at least some of them and if I recall correctly they were voiced shouts (albeit with Miraak's voice). I think it also fixes/enhances some shouts that were underwhelming (but I might be thinking of a different Mod).
-
I know some of the Miraak shouts can be found in this mod called Apocrypha shouts. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64676 A lot of the mods you requested might be difficult to make (or at least have the desired effect). However, The Thunder Child mod has a lot of voiced shouts, some of which have effects similar to your request and several new shouts that are very unique and well done. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64676 Of the mods you've listed I think you'll have a hard time finding or convincing someone to create Nahl Dal Vus, Slen Tiid Vo, and Ven Mul Riik (as much as I'd like that one two). But Thunderchild has a lot of good ones that have similar effect to FIIK Lo Sah, Alduin's Storm Shout, and others. I highly recommend checking out the mods above.

It's probably FNIS PCEA2. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71055

I would like one or all of the following (Because I'm a big fan): 1. The clothes Danny wore during the music video "Orgy for One" 2. The facepaint from the same music video 3. A rough character preset (though I might be able to make that one myself.) I feel like there are already plenty of options that can (more or less) let me make Ninja Brian. I'll see if I can add a picture. Nexus tends to be a bit finicky when it comes to pictures.

Not sure about the marriage thing (lol) but I know you can make dragons non-hostile via console commands. You just need to add yourself to their in game faction. Speaking of which, You might be able to make them marriage material by adding them to the marriage faction (but I'm not certain of this. Never tried and I know there are limits to that particular faction).

I think Racemenu does that? You have to play around with the color settings on the face/body/leg paint to get it right. I've yet to find a good tutorial for glow settings, though. I'm not sure if it works with the vanilla warpaint system, but I think there's a mod that adds Racemenu compatible versions of those. There are a few mods that change his dances. Off the top of my head, a couple that might have done it without you expecting that (as in, they don't have Cicero or Dances in the name) are Amazing Follower Tweaks and Erotic Adventures of Misty Skye. I have glow options for bodypaints. None of the headpaints (vanilla or otherwise) allow for glowing. My google searches suggest there is a gameplay reason related to glitches in player death animations. I have a mod that turns off player death animations though, so I'm trying to find a mod that does a workaround and allow for glowing face paints. If anyone knows of this (or if my info is inaccurate) let me know.

#1 is a retexture of the armor of the Blades and #2 is just a simple mash up of different vanilla armors. #1 is a little too "Samruai" in my opinion. These are good, just not quite what we're looking for.
