knights of the nine, drove me nuts try to get it started, always needed more fame when I would go to the shines, really had to get rid of the infamy points that I had accumlated. Console commands are my friend.

first thing is go to the arena and become the arena grand champion, pretty easy at the lowest levels and gets the fame up need fame to be 40 to buy the skingrad house and some money buy stuff. I set the time scale to 8 from the default of 30, really makes the game easier the day more reasonable.

the nude.esp on Planet Elder Scrolls gets only the females, most of the other mods get the guys as well, really prefer neked girls, slofs respawning nudist guy have pants and every one has shoes in the caves and shrines, so use both, nude.esp removes the girls shoes, my main female texture has painted finger and toe nails for the girls so shoes must go. these are my favorites on the TESSNex site invisible armour is good as well, removes armour from every one, the in game armour does not show at all, I use a high reflect damage, mine is around 100% pretty much gets rid of needing armour and is easy to get in game with some necklaces and rings so every one is fighting naked. Unlimited Amulets and Rings, Unlimited Magic Clothing and more merchant money none of the in game items show, a couple rings for left and right for none game items, pretty much lets me use anything I find in the game. some special items like quest will show.

console command UNLOCK and select the door hit enter, on a PC access the console commands with a ~ <tilde> or a ` same key left of the 1 key. this usually works for chest and doors, though not all the time

its an old bug, you have to get the ring, but never can, from the Oblvion Wiki http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:The_Battle_for_Castle_Kvatch Bugs Sometimes the game will not recognize that you have the count's ring, or Savlian will not talk to you about it, preventing the game from moving any further. One potential solution is to attack Savlian and knock him unconscious. This may reset his dialogue allowing you to finish the quest. On the PC, this can be fixed by using the console and typing in setstage MS49 90. Berich Inian might get stuck in the Chapel Undercroft. Since he is needed to open the gate unless he dies, you will not be able to move on in the quest. To get him out, just re-enter and exit the Undercroft, and he will appear. If this does not work, walk over to him and he should begin to move. Sometimes Dremora archers will keep showing up on the walls above the castle gate. This will prevent Savlian from noticing the gate is locked. You cannot interact with Savlian at this point, unless you kill the archers fast enough or knock Savlian unconscious. You can talk to him for about five seconds once he gets back on his feet, but, while running from left to right in front of the castle gate, he will only tell you "We have to reach the castle gate!" Be careful with the second approach, as you may gain a bounty, causing the guards around you to try and arrest you. PC Note You can solve this by using the console to turn off AI detection for Savlian. Select him and enter tdetect followed by stopcombat - He should now notice the gate and advance the quest. Don't forget to use tdetect on him again to turn his AI detection back on before continuing.

get a demoralize spell, gets folks running away, get it for delphine Jend in Bravil Mages hall or Ramanus Pollus and Ita Rienus in the Arcane university if you have frostcraige mod you can use the spell alters, though you need to have one basic spell before you can create stronger ones, Demoralize can be added to weapons, checked, hoped it would work on clothing items so it could be constant, the grey foxes cowl has been mentioned, and wearing necromancer robes will upset mage members.

nude.esp at planet elderscrolls a bit afraid to post the link since its mature, gets the girls naked, usually google the nude.esp to find the file.

basically play with 4 games, found that having one open save game on the menu, never touch the autosave, I have saved stuff at points that I would not mind going back to, so there are folders with four games that I created while playing the game, usually after completing the quests, or made major changes in the game, there are 3 of these folders.

Oblivion is a game that I keep coming back to, really love the lore in the game.

will agree that I prefer Oblivion, got tired of not being able to leap over the obstacles in Fallout3, and the game is pretty depressing.

I found it after reading this thread, as mentioned before the nights eye really kills it for me, though its on a bookshelf in rosethorn hall,

the mages staff quest is the only time a staff is created in the game, and that staff is pretty limited, rindars staffs are only ones you can buy, taking the staff from fallen victims. Frostcraig does not have a way to create a staff, or I don't know of any staffs that are not already magic items in the game the mages quest with Frostcraig expansion is pretty useless.

used to summon the spider daedra quite a bit, with the sexualized monsters the female Xivilai is my favorite monster babe, though female Spriggan is very cute, never could kill those in the game. Command creature and let them hang around. The fire Atronach has been a favorite as well.

do all the guilds at least once, I have come back and done the ones I liked when starting a new game, but for a first time player do them all, we can related to the guild questions since we have been through them.

look at reducing some of the effects in the video options in the game, distant trees, grass distance, actor fade, tree face, shadows, there are things in game that really don't help the game play that you might reduce or remove to make the game more stable. Reducing grass distance can really helps since your growing the grass every time you move the character.

try defraging your disk, notice that helps oblivion.

@ austinrocks If a particular mod doesn't add the essential status, you could make the horse or any other creature essential in the CS, but be careful with generic creatures as it will make them all essential. It should preferably be done with named unique or mod added ones and not base game creatures. In game you can also use the resurrect command via the console, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Console_Command_Tutorial#SetEssential_BaseID_.23 Personally, I make my animal companions essential because I can't see the point in having them if they die when the first rat or common wolf attacks. It's no less realistic than anything else in a fantasy game and you could assume they have a special power when in your company that revives them. I know some people don't like the essential companions, but it's a waste of time activating the esp if you have to be constantly looking out for them when it should be the other way around. right make them essential, just never can remember to do that when I am playing

that was pretty funny for me the first time I did it, Neeksha the dark elf companion kept drowning while I was trying to get the fish, not fun.
