I never seem to get crashes during the the intro sequence (from the title to the escape from Helgen Keep), but only randomly afterwards so I have to save frequently. Please let me know if there are are any conflict you know of or I should clean some of them up in TES5Edit - the only reason I haven't is because the wiki page says not to, in case they are actually needed.

Have you installed SKSE? It's needed for virtually all mods made/started before the Creation Kit was released, and a lot of them still use it. You should also verify your game cache on Steam, just in case.
