  1. I'd like to change the way Oblivion handles difficulty: I want to both deal and take more damage at higher levels. Less room for error, less damage sponges. In the other Bethesda games this would be pretty simple. I'd just find fdifficultydamagemultiplertoPC (or something like that I can't quite remember) and change the values. But in Oblivion's CK I see only fdifficultydamagemultiplier. Is there no way to change this? Or can it be done by altering other settings?
  2. So I was looking at the King Crusader mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8856/?) and I thought "oh that's so badass" until I saw it on someone's character and their face was clearly visible. I find I have this reaction a lot with hooded armors. I'd like a mod that either made the hoods cast a more dramatic shadow on the PC's face or just blacked the face out entirely (Like so: https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1704/images/4372-5-1479275203.jpg). Thanks.
  3. Oh great, I'm on windows 7! Do you how to do it with FRAPS? The short version of the long story is I just got a new 4K TV and I had been getting what I thought was really bad input lag, but I'm starting to suspect that I'm actually getting really low FPS in desktop. Which is weird because I can get fairly high frame rates at 4K in game, but I get much worse framerates and far more stuttering when the desktop is set to 4K.
  4. Yes, I know it's weird. It's a long story. How would I do it?
  5. OK, so I've screwed around with this a little more... and things are weird. So someone suggested the lag might be a product of mirroring, so I hooked the tv up to my desktop and there's that lag. But then I opened up Dishonored (which I had set to 1080p) just to see how it would run and the *menu* was running at 30 fps. I screwed around with things some more and found that 1. Things seem to smoother with THE GAME at 4K and the desktop at 1080p then with the desktop at 4K and the game at 1080p. 1A. This doesn't seem to change regardless of whether the game in fullscreen or borderless window. 2. My PC thinks I have a 120hz refresh rate. I get the option to change it both in game and in NVidia control panel. I don't. I have 60 fps with backlight strobing. Which is turned off. 2A. But even when I set vsync to 120hz, it's locked at 60. 3. Other weird results: In Dishonored, setting the game to 4k locks the mouse cursor in the upper right quardrant of the screen. In Doom, setting the game to 1440p locks the frame rate at 30 (I get higher at 4K). Anyone got any idea what this means?
  6. I doubt it's either. I used a Lenovo Y700 and an Apple Macbook from 2015. I used an old Belkin HDMI cable and a Rocket Fish cable that I bought just today. Same results either way.
  7. Using my laptop via HDMI. I hooked my desktop up to the Samsung Ku6300 and it was noticably laggy, so I unhooked and tested the lag with my laptop. 100ms. On this TV I skipped straight to testing and got the same results, so I haven't hooked my desktop up to it yet.
  8. Samsung TV's aren't known for there speed, also if your going for cheap as possible you are going to have a bad experience. http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/ku6300 This review says it isn't bad for gaming That is THE EXACT one that I bought! And yet it had 100 ms of lag. I have since bought another one--a Vizio 40 inch that's supposed to be the very freaking best for input lag (http://ca.rtings.com/tv/tests/inputs/input-lag)--ANd I'm still getting 100ms plus! PLEASE HELP! (And don't say "turn on game mode" of course I turned on game mode.)
  9. I ask because, after much research I bought a 4K Samsung 40 in KU6300... And it had the worst input lag I've ever seen. I returned it within the hour. Anyone have personal recommendations? As cheap as possible preferably.
  10. Obviously I tried that. I don't need to know this anymore, I found a workaround.
  11. That doesn't really help. Keep all that other stuff--screen size, viewing distance, etc.--constant. Are you saying that a 1080p imagine on a 1080p display will look no more blurry than that same image on a 4K TV?
  12. So, I prefer to use my TV as a monitor and the one I've been using just died. It seems like all the TVs now a days--or at least the ones you'd want to use as a monitor--run at 4K. The problem is that I don't want to run my games at 4K (fps matter more to me) and I'm worried that they'll be blurry when a 4K TV renders them. Am I off on this? Anyone have any actual experience with it?
  13. Each sub-forum includes a mod-requests page. Be aware however, that most mods simply aren't possible for PS4--blame Sony.
  14. I want to find this damn program. And no one on the entire f***ing internet knows where it is.
  15. For all ini edits: 1. Do I really REALLY need to do this? Ini edits with skyrim are a bad idea like 90% of the time and I'm including papyrus logging in that. I have never ever seen anyone find help by posting there log and leaving it on will drain performance. 2. If you really really have to, just add the missing section.
  16. If you squared that, then doubled it you'd be on the right track.
  17. What I would really like to see is a game that gives you it's basic responses but lets you customize the details. So if someone asked for help you could say "No," or "Hell no," or "Sorry, I can't" or "F*ck you" or "Maybe Later" and the same for the yes responses.
  18. Yes, they can be used together. You won't get double the effect though: whichever is installed later (or lower in the MO left pane) will overwrite most of the other one. There will be a small increase in performance.
  19. Thrown it in the trash :p. Frankly, I think it was a bad idea that was poorly executed. I don't like the intro cutscene and I don't like the pre-war prologue. I actually like the game overall, but I'd prefer a character with a less specifc backstory.
  20. Glad to some guy who unironically says "time to wake up" knows more about the nexus than Dark0ne.
  21. DEIMOS is fantastic. Much smaller in scope than Falskaar, but I think I like it better overall.
  22. The mods do have the check marks beside them but in-game when I try say for instance cheat terminal I built the terminal from the work bench but then when I go to press "E" my interact button it doesn't respond or when I try Everyone's best friend which allows you to have dogmeat plus another person with you it does not work in terms that the game works as it should and tells me where to station dogmeat if I take on the other person Are *all* your esps not working? Or just some? How many do you have? I suspect you probably are having different problems with different mods.
  23. No script changes, even, since those require the scripts be placed in BA2 files. And I'm sure "the suits" understand how modding works. They just see the possibility of external assets creating a vulnerability in their hardware as more important. I'm no Elliot Alderson, but I'm pretty sure it'd be easier to just hack Sony than to sneak a virus into a mod.
  24. http://arstechnica.co.uk/gaming/2016/10/fallout-4-mods-ps4-release-date/ Better than nothing.
  25. 1. We need to know *how* they don't work? Do they not show up in game? Is there some kind of error when using them? Crashes? Some combination varying by mod? 2. My best guess is that you haven't activated the .esp files in NMM. You need to bring up your load order pane in NMM and make sure that the esps have a check mark next to them (or something like that. I don't use NMM so I can't quite remember what it looks like.) For retextures, this is not necessary since you're simply overwriting the files the game loads everytime. For plugins (.esp files) you're telling the game to load additional stuff; so you need to do more than install it: you need to tell the game "hey that thing in the data folder. Load it."
