Here's something I have wondered for quite a while now... is there a certain area in a load order where mods of one type should generally be? ie- environment before armor, weapons before environment, scripted mods on top or on bottom? I generally sort my own load order, and I've noticed that LOOT will group certain categories of mods together, but will have a few exceptions. I know there are no hard and fast rules in Skyrim modding, but could someone explain why mods are separated by category and what the order of those categories might be? Peace.

After running reqtificator, I receive this mesagge every time. It then tells me to contact the author. Whish author-- the author of Requiem or the author of java? And I NEVER get the "indifferent" esp. Can anyone help me through this?

Hi guys! I'm starting an Elric of Melnibone Playthrough (Albino High Elf with red eyes, lightly armored spellsword) and I want to find a sword closely resembling Stormbringer. There's a SB mod on NMM, but it's not that great. Any ideas? Obviously it needs to be black, 1H, and have soul trap abilities and/or HP and stamina buffs with each hit. Any ideas? Or any intrepid modders who also think a 2k or 4k res Stormbringer is a great idea? Thanks!

Hi guys! I am getting ready to do the DB questline for the first time ever, and IMO, the vanilla armor looks ludicrous. What are your favorite replacers and why? Dean

It would seem to me that a person could mod some undergarments, woolen and Cotton, and maybe even silk, that can be worn over the slip or basic bikini and under the armor. Let's face it- how many of us would wear a steel set of armor right next to our skin ? The app would have some type or wear penalty, and would need to be replaced every few weeks or so. Does anyone know of a mod like this, or have the stones to try it?

OK-- where should I move it to and how do I redirect my mods so they work? I use NMM by the way.

Hi guys- I've never seen this issue before-- When I attempt to install a scripted mod (the ones I have are dual sheathe deluxe, enhanced blood textures, follower trap safety, frostfall, OBIS, player headtracking, real shelter, (COT installed fine), certain modules of skyre, dance of death, UFO, unlimited bookshelves,) I receive an error like the following; access to the path 'c:\programfiles(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\skrim data\scripts\dualsheathereduxquest.pex' is denied. I receive this message on all the before-mentioned mods. Any ideas?

Should I overwrite SMIM with Skyrim 2k, or vice versa?

Hi guys-- I just started a new playthrough using Civil War Overhaul, and now Ulfric wears no armor, just his loincloth! I downloaded Stormlord Armor, the Stormcloak variants armor mod, and the 4k stormcloak retexture. I have used those mods before though w/o a problem. I start as a soldier in the Live another Life mod, which I have also used successfully before. Here is my load order-- something is overwriting his armor but I'm damned if I know what. Also. if anyone sees any mod that they know to be crap, please let me know. Doing a lot of experimenting with this playthrough. Requiem causes too many bugs, freezes and crashes. And I really don't want to debate the merits of requiem... I just want to know if there is a mod designed to allow undead to only be damaged by fire, silver or sun.

It sounds to me that, by going to a "Geographic Area" when doing a manual download, you have done away with Premium Servers (one the main reasons I bought a premium membership). I never had more than a 5-second wait for a premium server; now I sit twiddling my thumbs for 2-3 minutes or longer. I don't think you should change a product that people have paid for. Also, the whole "required" endorsement/non-endorsement thing... Again, you are subtly forcing people to make a decision. Now honestly, how many folks are going to refuse to endorse a mod they are using when the mandatory choice is shoved in your face? That's like a little Girl Scout knocking on your door with cookies... you don't want the damn things, but you sure aren't going to hurt that little girl's feelings. I read further down in the post about one dude who has shown an 1800% endorsement increase since you started this... again how many people that use his mod, but find it mediocre at best, are going to refuse to endorse it when they are forced to make a decision? It seems you are guilting people into endorsing and skewing the real-life numbers. Now some dude that uploads a save-game is going to have a percentage of endorsements that masters like Chesko and Isoku enjoy. Not a great idea, in my opinion.

Hi Guys! I have stopped using Requiem for all the usual reasons, and have decided to use SPERG. One of the things I liked best about Requiem, though, was that you could only harm Undead creatures with silver, fire, or sun weapons. I mean, beating a vampire to death with a battle staff? Please. I wonder if there is a mod available that makes these weapons requisite vs undead if you are using SPERG. It really bothers me that I can now walk up to a Draugr DeathLord and hack him to pieces with an Iron Dagger. Thanks in advance! Dean

I don't know if this is caused by this change, but lately I have been getting bumped to a non-premium Salt Lake server with a D/L Speed of @ 600k/s, even though I am a premium member. Also, I have noticed that if I pull up mods through the search engine and click on one-- if I then click the "back" arrow it doesn't take me back to the previous screen-- it defaults to the page with the top downloads of all time. I have looked in settings and preferences but don't see any way to change this. Any ideas on either of these issues? PS-- the 50.2 upgrade went off without a hitch.

Not ENBoost. Gopher did a video about a mod that relieves stress on the memory... something about 2 boxes of memory, 256 MB each... the mod changes the first box to 512 thus removing the bottleneck and virtually eliminating CTDs... Does anyone know the name of the mod I am referring to?

Hi guys! I have noticed, on this board, thousands of mod requests and very few acceptances. Of course, a lot of the requests are either outlandish or would involve hundreds, if not thousands, of hours... so i can see why there isn't a lot of response. But what if a request made it worth the modder's time financially? There's the rub. I have an idea I would LOVE to see brought to fruition, and I am not averse to financial recompense for the modder. After all, this is something wanted by ME, not the modder. My question is this-- would I be committing, at the very least, a severe breach of etiquette and at worst, banishment from Nexus by posting a request like this? And if so, how does one get in touch with a modder otherwise to discuss an arrangement like this? I'm not trying to start a shitstorm or anger anyone, but I love Skyrim and want some thing that I haven't seen on Steam, Nexus, or anywhere else. Please respond if you have any info or ideas! Dean

Hi guys! I have played skyrim since day 1, but only as a casual player. I still haven't been to Solstheim, Faalskaar, or Wyrmtooth, I have never defeated nor been a Vampire Lord, nor have I built my own house... although I have all the DLCs. I have become very interested in a Paladin playthrough, though, and I would like advice from you guys. First of all-- Vanilla, SkyRe, or Requiem? I have used them all.... I prefer requiem, but the thought of being one-shotted by undead for months while I level is unappealing. I think that SkyRe and vanilla level too quickly, though, and turning up the difficulty setting only increases hit points and spawn numbers-- it doesn't actually make a harder, more immersive environment. Second-- Stendarr or Dawnguard? Or both? Stendarr was unfortunately nothing more than an afterthought by Bethesda, but you have to be invited to join Dawnguard. I would like to RP as a young acolyte training to be a holy warrior, but Beth limitations make this tough. Third- Armor and weapons. I use the Live another Life mod, and i tried as a vigilant, but robes don't seem to work well, especially with requiem. And while a Battlemage is somewhat appealing, the thought of running around as a squishy is not. At all. Also-- edged or blunt weapons? D&D had clerical restrictions on Edged, but I seem to remember that Pallys could use swords. Vigilants, I believe, are more attuned to blunt. Please correct me if I 'm wrong. And what weapons do you guys think would work well with a Pally? Mods and such, I mean. Armor as well-- I haven't used the Divine Wrath Pally Armor yet, but I have used the Templar Armor by Mancika, and that is some of the most beautiful armor i have ever seen. If you know of other armor mods that would work please let me know! 4th- Questlnes. Other than Dawnguard and Destroy the Dark Brotherhood, are there any that are suitable? And even Destroy the Brotherhood requires a murder to activate it. Are there any quest mods that would fit well? I know there is a small Stendarr questline mod, but from what i hear it is fairly wonky and incompatible with Dawnguard. 5th- other mods that will enhance this playthrough. I use all the standards-- frostfall, RND, Immersive HUD, etc, but what about lesser-known mods that will enhance my experience? 6th- Race. I think a Nordic Paladin working with Ulfric to Liberate Skyrim from the greedy grasp of the Empire would be awesome, but a Nord doesn't really fit the mold-- aversion to magic, 2H vs sword and board, etc. Thoughts on race? The only races i would consider are Imp, Nord, Breton, and Redguard-- Khajiit Pallys are like Obama in the white House- it just doesn't work. 7th-- Skills and Perks... absolutely no clue here. Resto, Destruction, alteration, illusion, 1H, or what??? I have no idea about a build-out. I am fortunate enough to have recently gotten a pretty strong rig, so i am able to rum pretty much any and all mods I want and still get great performance. I tried Realvisoin ENB, and although I LOVED the look, my fps went from a steady 60 fps to about 28 fps. I want 40 or so fps at the very least. Perhaps some different configs on RealVision would help... I am a complete noob at ENBs as i never had a rig powerful enough to handle them. Any and all advice is welcome! Thanks in advance!!! Dean

Hi guys-- I decided to start from scratch and play a Khajiit character which I have never done before. I bit the bullet and erased all my save games, and downloaded about 12 Khajiit-specific mods to enhance it. Trouble is, I immediately CTD after reaching the new game screen. Seems like a mod conflict to me, but I have checked every mod and ensured that I have all the required masters. I use Hialgo, and I decided to use requiem on this rather than Skyre.
