  1. ...but he was an argonian :( I'm not racist! Just not that much into lizards :D I also didn't see the romance option there? I remember playing the mod, but I lost him somewhere... He ran away.
  2. Romance mod is huge part a dialogue and plot thing, so I think if someone wanted to, they could have a big part done before CK comes out and then make it haaaapppen :teehee:
  3. Alright, someone has to request this (if people haven't already!). I think we need the romance mods for Skyrim. I know you may tell me I'm a girl and that's why I'd rather this than bloody draugr animations, but... :teehee: Look at the other games and mods for them. Romances are always one of the top interest mods! What I mean by a badass romance mod - something like in other RPGs. A follower you meet, there's some slower beginning, dialogues, reactions to the event in the plot (and if only possible random things outside the plot as well!), changing option of player-initiated talks and then, in the spirit of Skyrim, a marriage, but one that is, at that point, much more than "hey, I like your sword, marry me?" "okay!". You know. Anyone out there feeling like working on something? ^^ EDIT: I'm just going to quote my later post from this topic where I posted two random romance ideas. Maybe someone will get inspired to either use one of them or create their own because something ticks upon reading these ;D
  4. I get what you mean. When I was playing Oblivion i remember a mod that had voicing lines much longer than subtitles allowed and I had some troubles understanding some of the words that followed (the accents were heavy and they spoke fast - I'm not a native speaker), but I still preferred that over the voiceless mods. Each time I encountered a character in a speaking world that suddenly just flapped their gums and produced no sound I was under the impression it's a ghost character :psyduck: It also gave a very strong "hey, I don't belong here, I'm modded in!" vibe. But I also do agree that noisy, terrible quality audio is even worse, because it just makes people wince and reach for their speakers. Immersion is gone instantly, because it's easier to even just read the ghost's text aloud or just go with it, than bear tha noise!
  5. I use a Snowball as well and while it's theoretically recommended to use setting 1, I suggest you try recording at 3. I can't open the file to see what you mean, but I find 3rd one have a much better depth and quality.
  6. I think it's also rather hard to sue if credit is given and no money is made off of the creation of whatever? I mean, if terms of service speak differently, it might not be legal, but since nobody's making money or taking credit, who the hell would have bothered with courts and costs of them? But I'm not going to argue - I don't know law very well. As for the mod - it seems like a huge chunk of work, but I've seen huge and amazing mods being done before so I'm just gonna cross my fingers for you and await the news!
  7. Even though I never really had room for naked mods in Oblivion (which I modded, haven't modded Skyrim yet), I have to admit, this one looks very well done :psyduck: I don't get the Minecrafty face though ;(
  8. Packrat paradise! Yes, please! But wouldn't it make a game laggy after a while? :<
  9. I don't know if this was intended or not, but when you say "don't read it" people will likely read it... you know ;p Either way, since I'm already here, I have to say the thing looks interesting :) I hope you get around doing it! Especially if you have experience with longer projects and resolve to get them to the end. I hate seeing nice ideas wither and perish, so, in the spirit of Christmas, I wish you tons of patience and relentless modding ambition ;D
  10. I thought it was some imba winged race-adding mod and I was already starting to drool, but reading the comments I saw it's more about UI changes and companion options... and those are not even romance. I am disappoint :( Someone make romance mod. You know you want to. Roooooomance. :psyduck: :psyduck: :psyduck:
  11. Think they mean "moi" which is French for "me." Yes, sorry, I have that silly habit of sometimes inadvertently putting foreign words into my sentences :psyduck: Personally, I think the first post is legible and quite simple in use. What it needs the most is still this stickyness. After that's done, it should be fine. I believe people can scroll down (but you may want to put a list of lists on the very top, so they knew if they can find here what they're looking for ^^).
  12. Mm, thanks for adding moi to the first post :) I poked someone asking for the sticky for this topic as well, maybe they will appreciate what you're doing and help with it. On a side not, I want mooooods already. CS, CS, cooome :psyduck:
  13. Hello, Talent: Voice Acting Skill level: <absolutely unable to judge myself :yucky: > Contact method: PM here or e-mail at [email protected] Additional information: You can find my current Demo Reel here: and a VAP profile here: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/topic/4510-viridianes-archive-female-nord-altmer-etc-possibly-khajiit/ with some more information about me not to clutter this topic. The Demo Reel shows my accent, quality of my microphone and some of the voice tones I can perform. Additionally I can speak with heavy Eastern European accent with rolling rs and overpronounciation of things. I have basic knowledge of Audacity - enough to remove noise, avoid clipping and clean up accidental pops. Feel free to take a look at VAP archive for more details. I'm sorry for not following this thing exactly, but I've never been able and never will be able to judge my skill in anything. I could roll a dice and that's as poor idea as any, so I'll just leave it up to personal, subjective judgement of other people, ya? Feel free to fill that for me in the first post if you want consistency. Thanks :psyduck: Also, why isn't this a sticky yet? I think this thread could really help modders big time :) Also, just a tiny proposition from me - since voice acting is actually very much gender-dependant (obviously) I think it might be nice to add a note beside the VAs in the first-post list to let the modders know where to look for guys and where to look for gals for their voice overs :psyduck: And on another side-note, you may consider making the list alphabetical so that people could find the contact they're looking for easier (that's just in case the list actually gets big enough so that a glance isn't enough to pick the one they have in mind if they remembered to look for a specific name). Why you said not to be shy about ideas. I always have ideas. Hope you don't mind my sharing them :teehee:
  14. Even though I'm *far* too lazy to play a game like this, I think this idea is brilliant and you got my support ^^ I'm sure many people would love to try it and I too, maybe, one day would play this if the entire game-play fit this kind of thing better :) [the world would need to be fuller, I think, for me to enjoy such a slow pacing. And a romance mod present. C'mon >:D] Anyway, thumbs up! Hope you/you guys manage to make it happen. great addition to modding scene.
  15. Feel free to contact me about voice acting once you're at that stage of development :) I'm a female. This sounds like a really nice mod, I hope you get it to the finish line ^^
  16. Yeaaah... :psyduck: I walked into some undead draugr or something during a quest for the mages. And hey, it's kicking my ass BAD. So I reloag and think, what to do. And find a disarming shout in my arsenal. Awesome! I'm gonna throw the sword out of his hand, it may give me some chance, ya? No. "This creature is too powerful for disarm" or however the note goes. The hell, anything that I *can* disarm I *don't NEED* to disarm because it dies before I think it may be needed. What's the point in that? :(
  17. I don't have enough time in my life to play the game this slowly :) Besides, I guess, I'd get pretty bored by walking slow towards the destinations. It's just so boring and pointless. I'd rather spend the time running around the world with fast travel and collecting prettiest books/items to hamster up in the house or something. I never read the random books I find (only plot/quest related ones, I especially like riddles!). I don't like to listen to people there chat about lore, but if some interesting event is spoken about that may lead to something, I take the bait. I sleep when I feel sleepy irl. It's this craving that I satiate in game so that I can play for a while longer without going to my real bed :psyduck: I don't eat food, unless I'm bumping some statistic or have too much stuff to carry. But I do most of the quests the way I'd like to do them. That's why I never bothered with Dark Brotherhood before. I would though, if I knew that their goals would be alike mine and I could agree about the killings. In every other game I play elf/something weird but pretty. But unfortunately, in Skyrim, I'm "forced" to play human simply because their faces look best. Waiting for mods with some nice and more interesting races :) Generally I don't limit myself in the game at all and if something is doable, I'll do it. That's why I am very cautious of mods that could potentially unbalance the gameplay and make it too easy. I've learn with other games that these absolutely ruin my experience. If someone drops an uber-awesome imba sword, I've two options, and neither is fine. If I take it, the game gets too easy and not fun. If I don't, I've no point in trying to do well because I have to limit myself in not doing well which defeats the purpose. If alchemy lets me drink 10k potions at once, I will. If it would let me to craft 10 swords from one ore, I'd craft them all. If I could fast-travel from dungeons, I WOULD AND I WANT A MOD TO LET ME. Because running out of them is BORING :P
  18. Wow, that must be a pretty rare bug. Maybe it has somewhat similar mechanism to the arrows that stuck to players' characters? If so, that would mean, it will go away on its own after some time.
  19. Very slight spoilers ahead: If I remember right I helped a dude at the graveyard bury someone, rescued hunter by the cave (lady in the inn gives the "quest" at rumors) and I did the dog part where I came back to the fella asking for it reporting what happened (no spoilers). Have you done all of these? I am not entirely sure if I didn't find something more there though... it might've been a small thing about finding documents or something, also given by some fella in the inn.
  20. I don't consider Skyrim a great RPG game (though a great game nonetheless) not because of attributes but because of really linear and small dialogues. It's better than Oblivion, but it's still POOR. There's no real interaction with companions either or choices in the plot. Just no :psyduck:
  21. I married Mjoll the Lioness and she set up a shop as well. I can have her travel with me anytime or go back to house and I can change the weapon she wields, but there's nothing I can do about that heavy armor. It's not even in her inventory, I don't know if it's at all possible for now to change NPC's armor worn.
  22. @ Psychotic I have a PC version :P I just believe that the cheat commands are actually called console commands. But I *am* a packrat. It's half the fun from the game to gather stuff, get money, but whatever I want, furnish all the houses. It's way more fun than killing dragons. Picking up only important and useful items is not fun at all. And it would take AGES to buy anything with that money. Especially since I don't really like dungeon crawls (city quests are much more interesting, I believe). @ Dartanian Does that really work or are you joking? :P @ Saldu I am not wasting perks to invest in speechcraft D:< C'mon! There's only 50 available and to spend any in that skill is an outrage :P I'm already tight on them when it comes to seriously useful things :( In Oblivion being good at speechcraft and investing in things didn't stand in the way of my being good in magic/weapons. I believe it was like that before the mods came as well (I played with lvling altering mod that had skills raise the attributes and attributes raise the level... sweet thing. Before that I ended up at level 22 facing impossible to kill zombies because my highest skills that got me the levels were sneak, lockpick, acrobatics and speechcraft. Go figure). @ Eadgster Companions keep messing up with my stealth, unfortunately, and they keep dying from my arrows when they pull the entire room and try to shoot anything with them running around like ADD kids. The entire point is though I don't want to spend so much time travelling back and forth to thousands of vendors to sell my junk :< And as far as decorating the house goes - I strongly recommend the power cores from big dwarven golums >:D EDIT: @ Saldu I'm 95% sure they stay there permanently. That's how it's always been. If it's not, then I'm gonna nerd quit the game until mods come and fix it :psyduck:
  23. Hey guys, So I've bumped into, I think, the most frustrating thing in this game so far. More annoying than carrying capacity. And that is - vendoring stuff. Out of 330 capacity I have my set of carried gear of 140. And after one trip to whenever I fill up the inventory. It's but a few things, really, and yet vendoring them takes a TON of time, because I have to visit so many different vendors. I didn't know that at first and I hoarded some junk in my house. When vendoring time came and realized how does it work I was like this -> :wallbash: It's NOT FUN to spend more time running around vendors and fences than actually playing. It was okay in Oblivion - I'm fine with trying to find a vendor/invest in vendor to be able to sell him more expensive stuff. I can take the expensive things to some ass of the world where the right vendor is. I am okay with having better armor/weapon prices in armor/weapon vendor as opposed to general goods one. But I'm not okay with selling 3-4 items to each vendor and having to travel to another city (faster than waiting...) then look for another appropriate vendor and loop it. Is there any way to deal with this in some funner manner? I've actually dropped stealing entirely because of this (and somewhat because of really small choice of stealable things... I'm used to the sweet item variety one of the Oblivion mods brought). I don't even care about my small capacity, I know picking up more stuff would just make me have to run to more vendors. It just takes so much joy out of hoarding and money gathering :( TL;DR: If there's some console cheat to raise vendor's gold, I'd welcome it. I really hate cheating in games like that, but there's cheating and there's cheating. I guess there are no mods yet. I wonder though if more people are just as annoyed by this as I am? Making game funnier, not easier, I consider the fine kind of cheat that's okay to use :<
  24. Was wondering the same thing. At first I thought it was just a foul bandit that tried to trick me, but after giving a chance of surrendering to some others, and always ending up having to fight them anyway, I went into sociopath mode and I don't even give them a chance to finish their pleas :pirate: This "feature" indeed doesn't make any sense.
  25. Sometimes you have to do something for them before. Sometimes you need to have been nice to them, I think. For example...
