Years ago there was a show on television that I really enjoyed. The show was called "Real People" and it interviewed people with amazing abilities as well as the oddballs who believed ferries visited their garden. I remember this one kid on the show, who was born with Down Syndrome. who had a special ability. This kid, using nothing but his hands, could tare a quarter in half. I can't speak for everyone but I would love to have the strength in my hands to tare a coin in half. I consider that a power equal to the one you described. It was an ability that could be tested and done again and again. We just chalk it up to a down syndrome kid not knowing his own strength. There are people with extraordinary abilities, we simply rationalize that ability. If it can be performed on demand, it's a fluke, if not, it's a lie or a trick. Coming forward with claims of having an ability only brings ridicule.

I think you need a better description here. You have a drawing of a small set of blades and then a screenshot of this huge shield like weapon. If the blades were made they would probably only work during hand to hand battles.

Thanks for the link, I didn't have that one. I've found three other tutorials but haven't gone through all of them yet. Another problem I'm having is with feathers, I'd like to add them to the shields but I want them to move. I would prefer if the pointed toward the ground no matter if the shield is in front or at your side.

I'm also working on TeePee's, Long houses,palisades, animal skins, pottery and clutter for villages. As with a lot of the items I make' I am learning as I go along. Clothing and headdresses will come later, I already have a few pictures to go by. I am also working on making bows, I have several models that need to be tweaked into working bows.

My apologies but I will not be making the zoo. There doesn't seem to be much interest in it and it's not really worth the effort.

I don't know how many entered the FO3 side of the contest but only six on the Oblivion end is a disappointment. I actually expected to be competing against at least several hundred mods. At any rate, I wish all of you the best of luck.

I've already modeled it but the three textures are going to be a pain in the a,,,, ummm butt

All I had to do was re size certain areas to make a shortsword and a longsword. I uploaded them along with the dagger as a set. It's on the same link. Oh, and for future reference, when someone makes you a dagger by request, don't ask others to make a sword to match. You should have asked me first since I already have the mesh and textures. People can be touchy about their work.

As any modder who has been doing this for a while will tell you, having a large army is an impossibility that the game engine is not capable of doing. More that 15 NPC's causes too much lag and it simply can not be done. Then there is this video 80 NPC battle test for Oblivion So when the nay sayers say that something can't be done,,,,,do it anyway.

Kudos vagitoe for being the first person to understand what this thread is about. Well thought out response but you left out Israel and I believe they will be a major player. Being such a touchy subject, I can understand why you would refrain from mentioning Israel..

With more than 1 million members on this site and having only 4 of them enter the contest, why would they have another contest? I expected a lot of entries and am disappointed with the outcome of this contest. If I had known that there would be so few entries, I doubt that I would have entered. Winning one prize out of 1000 entries or even 100 would be something to be proud of. Winning one prize out of four entries is a feat worthy of forgetting. This was our one chance to show how much we appreciate the community, our chance to show respect to the people who make this forum and this game so great. I think we blew it!

VagrantO, I'm not even sure he read the post that he quoted. If he had read it, I don't think he would have made his post, especially the last comment. Chaosblade02 have you ever heard of PCP? Angel dust? PCP and Angel dust were/are a type of marijuana that is laced with elephant tranquilizers and embalming fluid. Legalization of marijuana would mean a cleaner, purer form of pot than the crap you can buy from a dealer on the street. I you think that the pot you buy from the guy down the street if some kind of pure, organically grown product, you are delusional.

I have to agree with VagrantO and disagree with stars2heaven on this. The end of prohibition was the end of the rum runners and while some people do still make moonshine, it isn't a profitable business. The statistics that stars2heaven posted do not mean much either. and are misleading. In the mid eighties, I lived in a town with a population of eight. Two of the people in that town were murdered. That was 1/4 of the population and so the media referred to Ridgeway as the murder capitol of the world. Cancer is a conglomerate of diseases, diseases like Leukemia are lumped into a category called cancer with things like Multiple Myaloma. For this reason, there is no cure for cancer as it is too many diseases to be cured with one treatment. It's kind of like saying "I have a dog" you know what a dog is but that statement doesn't tell you if I have a chihuahua, a great dane. a wolf or a fox. If someone dies of cancer than we all know it is because of smoking right? Was there a such a thing as cancer before anyone ever smoked? Will cancer go away if we all quit smoking? I have a hard time believing the media hype and propaganda. Legalizing drugs has reduced crime in every country where it has been tried so far. A few years ago two areas tried making Tobacco illegal. Both the state of California and the country of Canada tried making tobacco illegal. In both cases there was a multi billion dollar business in tobacco trafficking created overnight. Both Canada and California were forced to except the fact that making tobacco illegal was not an option. When the bans were lifted the trafficking stopped. As with anything from guns to drugs, it's not the product that is the problem, but the misuse of it. People are easily fooled by the media, just watch a few commercials and you can see it. "Try our product, it's all natural and good for you" Cyanide and dog crap are 100% natural too but I'm not going to take a daily dose of those either.

My neighbor suggested that I make a zoo. I thought it was a good idea and I've posted a thread about it HERE The bestiary would be a great item to sell in the zoo. If you are going to make the mod, I could use it, if not, I may work on it myself. Let me know one way or the other.

My neighbor came over today, he's 14 and he had an idea that I like. I like it enough to start on it. I will be building an Imperial City zoo. It will be placed just outside of the IC. The zoo will contain both interior and exterior cells. The interior cells will be tanks and cages while the exterior cells will have walls and separator pools much like a modern zoo. Interior creatures will be in cages and will be creatures like Wolves Mudcrabs Slaughterfish as well as others to be added later Exterior creatures will be held in pins or islands surrounded by motes. They will be Clanfears Bears Daedroths Ogres Trolls Goblins Each cell or cage will represent the type of environment that the player will find these creatures in. As you walk between cages you will interact with tamed deer. The player will be able to enter the zoo at any time during the game and at any level. You will be able to see the type of creatures that you will be encountering later in the game and learn a little about them. I think that this mod would be the perfect place for the player to purchase a bestiary, such as the one requested by archer9 in This thread. If you like this idea and would like to see it come into existence, please post your ideas and suggestions here in this thread. List the creatures you think would be good to have in interior cages or exterior islands. List information on the bestiary here or in archer9's thread. List items that you think would be sold to visitors to the zoo List the type of people who would work in the zoo this isn't going to be a complicated mod. It will use existing Oblivion meshes and textures and shouldn't take very long to build and set up. This mod will give me a break from all the stuff that has been aggravating the mess out of me, things like outdated tutorials. So, what do you think? Is this a good idea or a complete waste of time? I'd like to know your opinion.
