Thanks for the reply. Ok so this morning was kinda messing with it again after seeing your reply and the 73 degrees part. So I went in and changed every thing back to default, recalibrated the fans to optimize, ran the test again and at 4.000 was at some points above 75c. Now to make sure I am on the right page here, There are temps for the "CPU" and temps for the "CPU Cores". which one am I supposed to be looking at? I will include a screenshot of my 4.00 test. My concern is if I am at 70+ at stock running speed, I will never get it to overclock!! Thanks again for the help

First off, I know this is not a computer tech forum. Just thought I would throw that in before someone got ......you know. I just upgraded from a I5-6500 to a I7-6700k and a 650w PSU to a 850 so naturally I had to start messing around with the overclocking thing. Did do some research first as this is my first attempt at doing it. Right now I have a Hyper 212 evo with two fans (push/pull) and have it set at 4.2 GHz. Under stress with Aida64. it runs at about 70-80c @ 1.33v. If I try to bump it up to 4.3 it jumps up in to the 80-90c range, which from all I have read, that's too hot. So should I change my cooling to water or maybe a more efficient air cooler? Which would be better? In the price range of $100-$150 My Specs are as follows MoBo - Asus Z170-a CPU I7-6700k 4.0GHz GPU EVGA GTX960 SC 4gb X2 SLI PSU EVGA 850G RAM Corsair vengeance 2400MHz 32GB 4 x 8 C: SSD 240GB (OS) F: SSD 500GB (Storage and stuff) G: SSD M.2 500GB (games) I'm sure there is a bunch of info I left out, But if you reply and ask, I will do my best to answer. Well I tried deactivating/uninstall everything added after I noticed the issue, didn't help. So thought about what I have done that could have changed this. I did add a few things (storage and stuff) to the exterior of the house so went to change the navmesh accordingly and discovered that a whole chunk of it was never navmeshed outside the fence area. got that done and for the most part (still had a few stragglers but figured with time hopefully with time they would head back home) seemed to clear out the people from the outside, but not the interior. Finally got pissed off enough to where I just deleted the mod )-; was kinda tired of that place anyhow. So now (so far) all is good. Doesn't really solve the "why it was doing it" part of the post, but does resolve the problem. So back on the ENB thing. Will read a bit more about it, watch a few more videos and try it again. I don't assume that it is supposed to be that dark!! This has been done thousands of times so I know it works. I think it might of been when I followed the S.T.E.P. video and messed with the fGamma but not sure. Either way I'm past the initial "Anxiety" part of it because I had it working. Now inside the house we have guest (skipping the name's this time) from Mor Khazgur, Mixwater, Narzvlbur, Falkreath, Dawnstar, Agna's Mill, Whiterun, Darkwater Crossing and more. I have also came across four or five Forsworn, just walking down the road like, How ya'll doing. I have ran into people from Whiterun just walking down the road by Solitude. The blades lady (don't recall he name) in the Bannered Mare. So long story short, I started trying to figure out what happened, started removing different things, COT, COT patch, Supreme Storms and so on with no luck. Next MO, still no luck. So I took the Skyrim folder, deleted it and replaced it with the one I saved (on different drive before all this started) and it's still there. I am going to try to drop back a few saves back and see if that works later on tonight. After I get this whole mess straightened out, I will once again, make a copy of the folder and see about the ENB thing. Thanks again for all the help, You guy's rock

Thanks for the replys, unfortunately I am back at ground zero as far as ENB and MO goes. I have some how developed kind a snafu in my game. Now I am not saying it was the ENB of MO, but I have a player house that I made quite awhile ago (year or so) and since I started messing with them....well I will let the screen shot do the talking.

Might give that a try. I tried to lower the fGamma to .8000 (was at 1.2400 as per S.T.E.P instructions) like a video said to do as it should help with the darkness but it didn't. Going with Realistic lighting overhaul first because already have it downloaded. IMO so far it doesn't look quite as nice as COT but at least I'm not running into rocks and falling off cliffs in the pitch black. :o) Thanks again

Well made the time to get this thing done. I installed the following mods as per the author's instructions and help from you guys, here is what I have Mod Organizer RealVision ENB Climates Of Tamriel Supreme Storms Climates Of Tamriel_Weather Patch True Storms-Thunder and Rain Redone Minty Lightning Mod COT 31 Patch Enhanced Lights and FX in that order. Interior is not so bad, but the exterior is just a bit on the dark side. I went thru and turned some of them off one by one to see if it made a difference and it seems to be Enhanced light and FX. Went to the page I downloaded it from, it has like 10,000 post. So going to try a Google search to see if there is a way to adjust it. When it is day time it looks great, but at night impossible to see. Here are two Screenshots I took same location same time. Again Thanks a bunch

Thanks for the reply's, first at ironbender800, it just seems like every time I do that, it's like I missed one or something because things just never seem to be right after. I did down load the MO this morning (taking both of your advice) but will this create a problem if I already have my other mods on NMM? Have played a bit this morning and it all seems to be working fine. @ icecubetray WOW thanks for the lengthy and detailed response. I have 64 mods installed, 20 armors, couple of player houses, 2 followers....stuff like that. don't usually install the High res one's cause still kinda leery of bogging down the game :confused:. I might start using them after I get this whole ENB thing figured out because I love to take screenshots and would really like to have them come out as nice as some of the ones I see on the Nexus. now for the next question. Before I posted this I already decided (kind of) I was going to give this a try. I downloaded Realvision, Enhanced lights and FX, Lightning during thunder storms, Climates of tamriel and like 5 more mods with NMM. None of which have be activated yet and none of them show up on MO (I'm assuming be cause they have not been activated) so should I NOT activate them with NMM??? I have satellite internet which means SLOW ASS download speed and limited bandwidth. so would be a real pain to re-download them, but I will if I have to. Is there away to move them from NMM to MO? Will research this in hopes of not having to re download it all again. Going to try working on this soon as I can. Hi all, Recently built my first from the ground up system. Have always wanted to run ENB but afraid that A) My computer did not have the ability to run it and have the game play smooth and B) That I would just screw stuff up and not have it run at all. I know there a ton's of videos/tutorials out there, but is there one that some one who doesn't know what all the "just drag the ... to the .... and add123 to the .ini, then move the .... from the......" you know, like to install ENB for dummies type of thing? Not to say I'm an idiot, just not afraid to admit when I don't know. ;-) The spec's for my computer are Mother board: Asus Z170-A CPU: I5 6500 3.2 ghz CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO GPU: 2X Evga GTX 960 sc 4b SLI Storage C: 240 gb SSD (OS and it's required parts and pieces) E: 1 TB HDD (Misc. programs and general storage) G: 500 gb SSD M.2 ( Games, NMM,CPUZ and stuff like that) RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32gb 8X4 (overkill I know) Power supply: Thermaltake Smart 650w So here is the question, I am pretty sure I should have the system to run it at least medium maybe high......right? and second if I go to my G: drive, and copy the entire Skyrim folder (Backup, Data Directx10 etc.) to another folder like on my E: drive, if I screw it up can I just some how replace the screwed up one with the copied one and be back where I started. I know that sounds kinda lame brain, but if I never ask the question, I will never know the answer :happy: Any advice will be appreciated and as always thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies, @ TuffMcKagan at the risk of sounding like a jack ass, I learned in this (or any) game when you assume anything...........The question was "If I give" not if I find. I was thinking more like some of the followers are kinda weenie's when it comes down to fighting, so if I hook them up with armor that will boost their health/armor will it keep them from getting their ass kicked so quick. As far as the chest go, the ones in game (setup to respawn) are a whole different gig. The one in the house is non-respawning. It almost doesn't make since that it would load while entering the house, it's like it shouldn't load until you actually open it (the chest, not the house) because then the game would have to load every chest, dresser, cupboard, mannequin, etc. every time you opened the door. And with some of the larger house's, castle's, mod mansions that could be quite extensive. Now I am not saying you are wrong, I don't know that's why I asked the question. May be I will just move it outside the house and be done with it. Again not trying to be "like that", just wanted to clarify what the question was about. This has been on my mind for a while now, If I give a follower/companion an enchanted necklace say.......fortify health, does that actually improve their health? Or fortify marksman, will that make them better with a bow? Second question, I built a small house (because got tired of spending every Septim on housing and improvements) in the house I put a chest basically for all the junk I don't really want but have managed to pick up in travels. When I enter the house does the game load just the chest, or does it also load all the junk inside the chest too? I have noticed that you can collect a whole bunch of stuff pretty quick. Don't really have a lag problem or anything, Just one of those things that has been bugging me and might create a problem (if it does load it all) for some one with a slower computer. That what it always looks like (on my computer anyway) in third person, first person view gets fuzzy like that but also darker. Guess it's supposed to be that way.

Well......Saved my game and tried the pick pocket thing first (I kinda suck at typing), my pick pocket skills are like 1 thru 10, maybe -3. tried 4 or 5 times and got caught every time and then everyone just wanted beat the crap out of me!! ): So then tried the Setpv........, well no luck with that either. First I did it just standing close to him then fast traveled to warwick home stead then back, no luck. Then tried to click on him to bring up his ID, repeated the same steps, nope. I even tried player.setpv......and nothing. I tried clicking on him and "UnEquipAll"., that worked to remove the armor but he still just stood there and he looked all funky. Guess that's what your body looks in Power Armor. I didn't know about not leaving Fusion in there till it was too late. Not like I am going to lose any sleep over this, just would like to get it fixed! If nothing else so he will start walking around again. Thanks for the replys

Have a small problem, I have collected some power armor and frames and had them lined up in Sanctuary. Well, that dumb A** Sturges decided to put one on. Now he just stands there looking like the Dumb a** that he is. He has no communication other then stuff like "My Dad said you could fix any thing with Duct tape" and stuff like that. So......is there a way to get him out of it? Don't want to kill him or nothing like that, might piss off the rest of the town if I do. Like I said "Small problem"! If I get it fixed great, if not so be it. Thanks for any help. (:

Ok...now this is going to make me sound like a real noob, but I tried the camera mod to get first person play but can not get it to work. Did a little digging and noticed that on a few of the mods they have a videos, watching them it shows under "Options" between Language and back there is "Mods", now......how to I get that because it's not there on my game. Sorry for the dumb a** question, but thanks for any reply

Thanks for the reply, as far as what I did with the settings is I went to Options, Video, Graphics and slid the bar to ultra. That's it I tried to check out the link's, but one of the down falls of country life is the Internet SUCKS A$$, and it's raining right now so that makes it worse but will try to get to it tonight. there is a lot of stuff to figure out on this game, enough to where they would put some kind of instruction in the package. Like how to repair weapons and armor, how to consume the food to regain health. I read somewhere good to loot food so you can "Consume during battle". Just little detail they left out......How do you do it!!!well guess that's why we have Google ;) The game play's ok (@ 25-30 FPS) and it has been fun so far, about 4 maybe 5 hours. I sure I will get the minor s#!t figured out eventually. Again thanks for the reply

I am new to the whole Witcher series, I bought Witcher3 2 day's ago and it's a pretty cool game. Few questions first and foremost, Is this game THAT much more demanding on the system then Fallout 4? I can play FO4 all day long on ultra high @ 55/60 FPS, but around 25/30 is what I get for Witcher ! (on ultra). Second is it possible to play first person? Thanks in advance for any replys

Thanks for the response, I clicked on the link and it took me to the page but keep getting "The signature of cpu-z_1.75-en.exe is corrupt or invalid"! After doing some more digging I read an article and they recommended a program called "Core Temp. I have a SSD for my OS drive and every thing loads super fast, But after installing that program it loaded everything ALOT slower, so I took it off and all seems good now. Would love to see how hot it is running because was thinking about trying to over clock it and see how fast I can get it to run. Thanks again, will keep digging

I am trying to complete the Devil's Due quest. I found both holotapes, I played Private hart's tape, then went in the museum, got my A$$ kicked (twice) by the Deathclaw. Found and grabbed the egg and Sergeant Lee's holotape. Played it 4 or 5 times but the marker is still there and the quest will not register that I read it. Anybody else had this happen? and how do I fix it? Thanks for any help

I just built a new computer and have read people saying stuff like "My FPS are... and CPU temp is ..... degrees, so I have been trying to figure out how to tell (while playing) how to do this. Got the FPS thing working, but can't find any way to show the CPU/MoBo temps. I tried to change the screen size to keep the tool bar on the bottom open, but if I change the aspect ratio things get all funky and pretty much the same with the resolution and either way I can't see the tool bar. Not even sure if I have to see it! If the CPU temp will pop up on the screen like the FPS do. I got the FPS working thru Steam/settings/in-game and putting the In-game drop down to upper left corner. I'm sure it's not that easy with the temp. but would like to get it going, more for curiosity than any thing else, It's running great. A lot of fluctuation in the FPS. Starts at like 30 booting the game, then get's as high as 60 and down to like mid 30's (kinda hard to watch it while going at it with a Draugr Deathlord) during play, not even sure if this is normal. First time I had a rig worth wanting to know what it is. Thanks in advance for any help.
