it will probably suck as much or more than Oblivion. *maybe* i will check it out after you guys have been making mods for it for 4 years, thats the only thing that would make it worth getting IMO. same for FO3 and New Vegas really.

uh, no it isnt... normally they are marked as essential, so when you shoot them it knocks them unconscious. did you read my post?

Maggie and Harden Simms are both completely untouchable. It's not that they are essential, if you shoot them the bullets literally pass through them and do nothing. It is also impossible to target them in VATS, it skips over them as if they aren't there, and their names dissapear as soon as I start shooting. Strangest of all, if I click them in console it selects them normally, but if I use the 'kill' console command on them it doesn't work. It doesn't knock them unconscious like it would do to an essential character, it does absolutely nothing.

its a PAINFULLY stupid idea, IRL the soil would filter out the radiation without people having to do anything. its also evens tupider, because in the previous games there wasnt huge ammounts of background radiation in all water hundreds of eyars later, since thats just stupid and unrealistic. almost as stupid and unrealistic as the entire capital city and all the military installations being intact after a nuclear war. also, why is the swampland of Washington DC a desert now? Chernoby and most of Pripyat, the site of the massive nuclear meltdwn and radiation leak, are completely overgrown with foliage. hundreds of years after a nuclear war there wouldnt even be any ruins left. hell, there wouldnt be any ruins DAYS afterwards, it was supposedly ground zero of a massive nuclear firestorm.

i completely uninstalled everything and am no longer using any clover makeover mods, but the problem persists :/ could it be something relating to textures or meshes that i perhaps overwrote? if so, wouldnt uninstalling everything completely and reinstalling have fixed it? Possibly. However, could a mod have possibly over-written a variable or such of Killable Children? Have you activated the Killable Children mod by using the Console Commands to use in-game after activating it in the Data Files / FOMM area? If so, I can't be much more help. I have not. I'm not sure what the commands are :P and yeah, in Vanilla FO3 you SHOULD be able to knock them unconscious by shooting them.

for some reason, somke child characters like Harden Simms and Maggie, etc. arent affected at all by the kill command, as in it doesnt even knock them out. shooting at them doesnt effect them at all, it makes them hostile to me and everyone else shoots at me, but they arent hurt at all. i can shoot them forever and it wont ever effect them. it used to be that i could set them to non-essential and enslave them with FNNCQ, but now its as if they dont have a healthbar at all. not even console commands can effect them. what can i do about this, if anything? that didnt work. im using Killable Children, and it used to work, but ever since i tried to use one of the Clover makeover mods ive had this problem. i tried deleting all mods and reinstalling, and it didnt work,

i had the game installed in my Program Files folder. i uninstalled again and reinstalled, this time to the Games folder, but now i cant find any of the FO3 files (Data, etc), all i see is the FO3 icon in Games. how does this work, ive only ever installed it to program files, where is Data?

i deleted all my FO3 files and reinstalled (all children in the game suddenly ceased to have healthbars, and were thus totally untouchable, making the game unplayable since mine had lots of child enemies, and nobody could help me fix it), patched to version 1.7, and installed a few mods including Archive Invalidation Invalidated. now, whenever i try to use FOSE though, it crashes. this never used to happen. also, in my FO3 data folder, meshes/textures/etc are in Archive Folder things, so when i download new textures/meshes in mods, it does not overwrite like it always used to. what do i do about this? and how do i get FOSE to work again? someone please help me with this -_-

i had Archive Invalidation Invalidated back before i had to reinstall, but i dont remember how to use it at all anymore : /

since theres nothing to overwrite, its impossible change any textures and meshes. i drop textures and meshes into the data folder, but nothing in the game changes because i doesnt overwrite the corresponding things in the FO3 texture/mesh folder

so after reinstalling, all the textures and emshes in my FO3 data folder are in an archive thing, and when i drag other textures and meshes into the data folder they dont overwrite as they should. what do i do?

yeah because killing non-existent videogame children is a horrible crime against humanity. obviously anyone who commits crimes in a videogame is a danger to society, as evidenced by the fact that everyone who plays GTA 4 is a whoremongering serial killer. you sir, are a complete and utter dumbass. in my game, about half of the raiders are children, and theres more of them than in vanilla. not being able to kill them or even knock them out is completely gamebreaking. youre pretty close about what i do in FO3 though, i like to capture towns, force the women to suck my LW's dick at gunpoint in front of their husbands, then force the husbands to do the same, then either sell them into slavery or have my mercenary army (a lot of them are also children, actually. i was inspired by the movie Blood Diamond) shoot them en masse. :) i went ahead and deleted my FO3 folder and reinstalled, but now i cant use most mods because the textures/meshes are in the fallout archive things, and i dont remember what to do to overwrite. obviously i figured this out the first time around, but its been a looooong time. also, i cant get archive invalidation invalidated to work like i did before, it always says it cant find the FO3 folder. im about ready to just throw in the towel on FO3 and wait for New Vegas

Help might be more forthcoming if you title your thread with something a bit more meaningful. "bizzare bug, somebody PLEASE help me" could be one of a thousand problems and so people tend not to venture too often into those kind of threads. A title of "Killable Children Problem" might get more responses. [/ 2 cents] the thing is, its NOT a killable children bug. killable children was one of the first mods i downloaded, for months there was nothing wrong with it. it was only yesterday when i started a new game that it was messed up

Did you remember to open the console & type .... bat kids then enter? I hope this helps didnt i say that? or was that in one of of the other 3 or 4 versions of this thread? god people are slow to respond on nexus :( YES i did bat kids, it isnt an issue of them being essebntial, they dont have healthbars, their healthbars are non-existent my game is unplayably glitched and nobody on this site or anywhere else can help me :(

im having a weird problem. ive always been able to kill kids ever since i downloaded the killable children mod, but now for some reason, after starting a new game, none of the children in the game have healthbars. not only can i not kill them, i cant even knock them out. i can shoot them, and they react, but it does no damage to them at all, none of the children have healthbars. also, i cant target them in vats, it wont let me. its not only the children from Vanilla, but also the children added by the Crowded Cities mod, who i formerly was able to kill. i dont understand whats happened, it was working earlier today and then after starting a new game, all children are totally unhurtable, from Butch at the 10th birthday party to the kids in Lamplight. i have not downloaded any new mods since i started the new game, what is going on??? how can i fix this? PLEASE someone answer this, this is a gamebreaking bug for me, in my game theres kids with guns who i need to kill and all of them are untouchable. they cant even be knocked out, not even the console kill command effects them i tried turning off all the mods except for the base game, and it didnt change anything. so im guessing whatever the problem is, perhaps its somehow related to textures or meshes or some poo? i was trying to get one of the Clover revision mods to work, is it possible that i somehow *banned* it up while i was downloading textures/meshes? any thoguhts on how to fix this?

ive tried to use just about every clover altering mod that there is, but none of them work for me. most of them simply dont change her appearance at all, and the More Asian Clover mod (the one i really want to use) causes my game to crash ebfore it even gets to the start menu. theres no problem when i take the mod out of the data folder, so its definitely that mod. does anyone have any suggestions?

last night i overwrote the body replacer i was using with dimonized Type3, and it fixed the dismemberment issue, but theyres still no damage decals

i was thinking of starting using it, but really only so i can enslave her :P

theres many nude mods to choose from, i personally use Malos Nude Body Replacer. sounds like youd like Animated Prostitution as well, which adds visual sex. theres also a mod that makes kids killable, and even a mod that makes it so that instead of doing the Little Lamplight quests, you can blow the gate open, kill the kids, and open the back door yourself. theres mods that make drugs more addictive and more rare, and some that give them visual effects, and some that do the same thing but only for alcohol. theres all kidns of mods, you should look around.
