  1. I found UFO incredibly buggy and unreliable. I know I may have just had it conflicting with something, but meh didn't enhance the game enough to figure it out
  2. http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again I did this recently and started over and it helped my game quite a bit. Also, you may want to uninstall all active mods with NMM just so it doesn't have any issues when you try to reinstall them. (Shut down NMM and restart after you got a vanilla game up and running).
  3. you do not have a skyrim.ini? I'd suggest making one. here's mine. put it in your C:\Users\Documents\my games\Skyrim folder Open notepad, copy and paste the spoiler, save as 'skyrim.ini'...also make sure it is an ini file, you may have to 'show application extensions' in your folder if it saves as a txt file. I'm assuming you have ran BOSS and the expansions are damn near the very top?
  4. yeah I would break out the Papyus logs and post them under a spoiler by clicking 'Special BBCode' then selecting spoiler. Its help me identify many issues.
  5. Have you looked at the Papyrus logs? I had a similar issue where my game would crash when an Assassin tried to attack me at the same spot, I found out which mod was bugging my game (Here There Be Monsters) and fixed it right up. The harder dragon (I forget what its called) was also screwing with things which I found with my log files.
  6. Okay. I've seen a few forums dealing with this issue and figured I'd start another because they seem to be bogged down. I am in dire need of fixing this one little bug that is plaguing my game. My papyrus log file was just over 98 mbytes this time. Here is the code that seems to be repeating itself Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
  7. Hello everyone. I was having issues with CritterMoth.psc randomly throughout my gameplay. My game would just crash to the desktop, especially during a lot of action, running through Tamriel, or quicksaving. I seemed to have isolated most other issues with my game but this one plagued me for a long time. Recently, I got rid of the 2k HD (Lite) texture pack in favor of Sharpshooters ENB Series because my FPS was too low with both and noticed that I have yet to crash a single time. Note - My papyrus logs were nearly 30 Mbytes sometimes with almost every error dealing with CritterMoth.psc when I was running with the 2K lite HD textures. I realize that correlation doesn't mean causation but I believe there is an error with those texture that is making the game crash either way
  8. okay it appears that going to an interior, waiting, then saving/reloading helped. I dont come across the assassin when I go to that spot anymore. It appears HTBM assumes you have all the DLC (which I do not) already or something a long those lines.
  9. Hey guys, I believe that my Here There Be Monsters mod is crashing my game. I've disabled it and tried to go back to the section where the game crashes everytime (where assassin attacks me) and I got this on my papyrus log file (after disabling it, mind you). Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
  10. Common mistake a lot of people have when they first start modding, you have 'ALL DLC' esp's loading with 'NO DLC' esp's. After deselecting your 'NO DLC' esp's, you need to find compatibility fixes, particularly the ones for PN, EVE, and WMX (which can be found here http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/42363//?). After you've downloaded and installed those, download, install and run BOSS (http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35999//?) this will put everything in place. If you continue having problems, I would start looking for more compatibility patches, you've got an extraordinary amount of game changing mods and I wouldn't doubt that they are having multiply conflicts. here is my load order. http://i.imgur.com/Lkj8tPj.png
  11. are you activating the mods once you've downloaded them?
  12. there is a list of parent files that will show up when you select a mod within the MOD load order menu in NMM. If you want to skip all that hassle, download BOSS, it generally gets it right http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35999//?
  13. manually run it. should be a program in your data folder
  14. I think I had this problem once and I had to update windows direct x with an older version. try direct x 9.c here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35&wt.mc_id=mscom_en_us_search_mssuggests_131z4enus22051 restart your computer if necessary. note - having direct x 11 does not solve the problem.
  15. but of course, I should have thought of this, re-installing now :P
  16. So I've been playing Project Nevada from scratch and enjoy it very much on very hard, hardcore mode (everything else set to the PN defaults) and noticed that FOOK could even bring more balance to the game so I installed it. However, I noticed that FOOK has made my game a lot easier and changed some of the things I really liked with PN like the effects of various drugs lasting much longer than vanilla F:NV. I'm not sure where to start to change the various things in FOOK and have uninstalled it. Anybody else have this issue and/or know how to make FOOK more like PN?
  17. I'm assuming you've tried the mods Better Game Performance (http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40128//?) and/or New Vegas Configator (http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40442//?) If you haven't, I'd try messing with those. Next, I would do a little digging around to see if you have a past version of Direct X installed, I know that, since Fallout is a few years old, that it may be a little wonky if you only have a Direct X 11 installation...I'm not sure how that stuff works, but that is definately where I would be looking.
  18. that is a peculiar problem especially because you've got F3 working on your PC. Looking at your rig, your computer is more than capable of running F:NV. I don't know where to start, I've never quite had that sort of problem myself. I would still try to work with .NET and Direct X issues but that's only because I can't work on it myself. If you can't find out the problem there, maybe trying a fresh install of windows? I bet its time to do that anyways. Back up what you need and try it out, if not because you know you need to :S
  19. Okay, those files are definitely there and my FOOK as been uninstalled so I'm gonna assume that NMM has replaced those files that were overwritten. Although, my files were a bit larger, do you have the large (4 gig) version of NMC's texture pack? I suppose you do, otherwise there wouldn't be a disparity and/or NMM would crash games with leftover files :S thank you
  20. You installed it via the CD? hmmmm, if I had to guess, it has to do with Direct X issues or the .NET framework. I know that your Fallout 3 works fine, but my steam client configured Direct X and .NET despite already having Fallout 3 installed and running on my PC (possibly suggesting that there are some differences, I could be wrong though). I know all this because I just did a clean install of my computer a week or two ago. I would try and get installed via Steam or, if that isn't possible, downloading older versions of Direct X (possibly 9?)
  21. you've got quite a few problems just glancing at your mods. For instance, you don't need (Project Nevada - EVE All DLC) loading with (Project Nevada EVE No DLC). I see the same problem with (EVE FNV - All DLC) and (EVE FNV - NO DLC). That being said, you can click on the mods from the menu in the pic and it will have a few 'parent' mods listed to the right that should be before the mod you clicked on. Heres my list of similar mods. If your having a lot of trouble I suggest just uninstalling all of em and starting from scratch which i've had to do many times recently. NMC's should go first than just overrite from there, starting with Project Nevada, then EVE, and so on. http://i.imgur.com/Ju7ROSh.png
  22. This is a fairly basic question, but I couldn't find it through Google or whatever. It deals with how Nexus Mod Manager uninstalls mods. Basically, does NMM replace the old textures (NMC's texture pack) that a mod (FOOK) had overwritten when I uninstalled FOOK? I have no problem downloading NMC's 4 gigs of textures again but don't want to unless I have too. Keep in mind, NMC's was manually extracted into my Fallout folder so I'm not sure if NMM would keep the files on layaway or however it works. Thanks in advance.
