  1. The only text box I can think off hand is the one for Additem (mod) search, but I have mine attached to hotkey z via a shout link
  2. If you only have canned greeen beans, pro tip: Drain them and rinse them under coold water thoroughly. Then cook them with fresh water. Rinsing removes a lot of the "canned" flavor
  3. Ah...gotcha. failsafe. right. thanks. didn't realize they self-repaired/respawned an ini on deletion. cool! I have a habit of cluttering them with additional ;coments, or [comments], or whatever syntax is necessary so I can embed-record the default I've changed into the .ini/.toml/.xml etc file (or even hard-copying them to a dummy "backup" folder) btw, I set them to 1.200000 (mouse) and 6.500000 (translation). might have to dial the mouse back a few clicks.
  4. Thanks Leo. The values you suggested are the right ones. I still have to fine tune a little, but both now work much closer to the expected behavior PS> Not sure what the old trick is... do you mean console refreshini ?
  5. Specifically, the mouse pan speed (it seems to be set to "Blinding" by default), and the camera origin translation speed (when pressing w,a,s, or d) default setting: "aSnailsPaceWouldBeFast" Been having an issue with TFM TFC for ~ a month maybe a bit longer, I either recently installed something (I have no idea what, I've added quite a few mods during the past two months, nor is it thread salient which mod did) that added Freefly Camera, OR I accidentally enabled freefly camera behavior that was already installed, but wasn't previously enabled, and now, when shifting to TFM mode, even the tiniest movement of my mouse produces wild rotations on the camera, and translation is so slow as to make it virtually worthless to try translating the camera) In fact, the combo of these two errant settings makes TFM mode completely untenable. there's an INI file, but tbh, I'm having hard time discerning what's what. maybe you help please? PS> not looking to disable it, (unless I have no alternative). It adds some neat features (camera axis rotation for instance), but I do want it to work correctly...erm productively
  6. Well the old NPC stats in an old game should be embedded into THAT savefile, rather than being called from a newer save when the old file is opened, so I'd definitely give it a try. Might be more tedious copying down stuff than ideal, but, well, life ain't ideal.
  7. why are homegrown tomatoes so much better than any others?
  8. Hmm... well IFF you know their stats from before, you could possibly use something like this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/24254 to edit them. Maybe you can load an old save temporarily and write down the values to transfer to the new instance? I sometimes have to do that with racemenu settings when duplicating various tweaks to new character instances. Not "the same" but similar principle.
  9. try loading an earlier saver file. Sometimes, while playing "we" (the game) accidentally generate glitches that make a savefile created after encountering it, "corrupt" in one way or another (ie unloadable) Try the save file made just prior to your last one. If it fails, then try the one before that...etc As can uninstalling or even disabling some mods (aside from the obvious case of "installing a ew mod that causes issues")
  10. Couldn't hurt to drop a crash log into a spoiler's tag, if you have one to share.... normal process for tech support posts is to do that plus load order, (and, of course, any other particulars of the issue like what you already provided)
  11. Hmm... CBBE stock or CBBE-3BA? Not sure if CBBE stock (ie, the original) provides that level of Racemenu support. I *presumed* you had either 3BA or BHUNP. Sorry about that. I think CBBE-3BA offers both hand and palm size. CBBE-3BBB, the variant I use, does. Or... maybe the AE version of Improved Camera has an issue while in 1st person. I'd check its bugs and posts section. Might even have a patch, although I'm on Skryim 1.5.97 so I don't know.
  12. There are a few existing presets that might work. You'll have to hunt around but her face looks similar to a few I've seen. Again, IF it's for the player. Head/face adjustments aren't available for NPCs in Racemenu (unless the AE version has changed that) her body doesn't seem all that different from a myriad of the more "fit" bodies available via Bodyslide edit: in case that first line was misleading... I just mean there are existing presets that (imo) have a similar "sibling-ish/cousinly" shape/look, which with a tiny bit of tweaking *might work to your satisfaction. Or at least give you a better starting point to hone your skills in Racemenu editing. I gave up on trying to duplicate real things a long time ago. Never could do photo reproduction m'self, at least not with faces. Too much nuance.
  13. Not me, (I tried to make a couple of them a while back, but tbh, I find the tools and head mesh models a bit limiting to do them justice within my threshold of "artistic tolerance"), but which celebrity? She or he may already be represented by an existing follower/etc mod. You might also be able to grab a Racemenu preset that's close and then tweak it into a close approximation of the desired actor/tress/etc, fwiw. At least if it's for player use anyway (rather than an NPC or follower) Lastly, remember practice makes perfect. When I first began playing both Bodyslide and Racemenu were 100% foreign to me. I'm no expert by any measure, but I've grown far more comfortable and slightly more expert with time and practice.
  14. BTW, you're aware you can adjust the player's hands from within Racemenu too, right? (Body scales tab). I always reduce my female players' hands in size because they look like man hands TO ME otherwise at scale 1.0. I also adjust weapons scales (Racemenu weapon scale tab), and positioning too, but whatever Anyway once I tweak any values in Racemenu I save a preset for my player so I can refer back to it later. (ex: I tweak "Harriet the beautiful but deadly giant killer" in Racemenu, then, once I'm done fiddling in Racemenu, I go to the preset tab and save the preset under a name like "Harriet"., If it was for player Layla, it'd be named ... Layla, and so on
  15. You have my sympathies. I used to suffer from that all the time. spent roughly three years dealing with it. For me, it was a mod So, without further adieu, and for what it's worth... https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/12655146-a-brief-moment-of-remembrance-for-lobster-hands/ if it ain't that, then I'm afraid I have no more answers. Improved camera displays what exists in thirdd person but rendered for 1st person., that's one of its features, which implies the problem is in your third person hand mesh or something affecting that mesh. I don't *think that'd be Improved camera but tbh, I really don't know for sure. It's not the case under the version for 1.5.97
  16. Afaik, and fwiw, and yes I realize you posted to the starfield forum... BUT... if you're really interested, you can use Google Earth to explore Mars, (well you used to a decade ago, anyway) and also I believe there's a NASA viewer somewhere or another with more accurate data. (probably via NASA or maybe ESA, not sure, been a while since I was interested) in addition, there's a game that was recently released whose terrain is supposedly real data (don't quote me, but I think some game previewer on YT said it was) . Goes by the name Survive Mars or something like that. (shows how much I pay attention... lol) and fwiw I believe it's on steam so have at it. best wishes
  17. Afaik Controlmap is a stock part of skyrim (or at least "controlmap_custom.txt" as is the case in my game), and as far as I know, its purpose is to store hotkey definitions. Sadly, it's not directly readable, at least with Windows notepad or Notepad++, so it may be one of those oddly archived or encrypted resources
  18. Possibly, I play SE so we're talking red apples vs green, but fwiw I've edited a few outfits to remove undesired bits by 1) opening the associated nif files 2) picking the chunk that's "offending" me 3) deleting it. I may also have had to edit the texture callouts, can't quite remember whether they were automatically removed when I deleted the associated submeshes (in your case, that'd be the noted skirt section) or they had to be removed by a separate step in the nif's texture listings. If you click that area and the whole outfit's' mesh gets highlighted, then no, I don't know how. It's "over my head" If you click it and its "subsection" is highlighted with all the rest unmolested, you might. Good luck.
  19. I'll admit I'm not always happy with everything about Vortex, (and I sometimes express it) but I advocate for its use and am VERY happy with the reduction in personal effort needed to manage the ever growing myriad of Skyrim SE mods I've installed over the past few years, afforded by Vortex (and its nexus vortex linkage). To be perfectly honest, my "copy" of Skyrim SE would be in the figurative dustbin without Vortex. Click here, wait, click there, click that, click this, wait a bit more for deployment, and.... done. play. Easy peasy pie.
  20. Unless you mistakenly updated mods to a skyrim/skse version beyond the one you're using (for instance, installing an 1.6x dependent mod to a 1.5.97 install), I'd think the updated mods would (IMO) be less likely candidates than the new mod additions, unless the errant behavior is obviously associated with a mod you've updated (ex: you install some new weather mod's - edit: latest version - and things go wonky with your weather) Punt position (for me) is to uninstall mods one by one, in reverse order of installation, checking game operation in between uninstallations, making new saves once you've successfully loaded (to flag uninstalled content so you can perform cleanup in fallrim resaver prior to dealing with the next candidate) Once you've eliminated the errant behavior, don't install that mod again. ("that" mod being the uninstalled one that finally resolves the issue) You can install the other mods that weren't the problem, of course checking your game inbetween installations to make sure none of the others are causing problems. Having said all that. since this is an issue with 1st vs 3rd person, I'd gander it has to do with a camera mod of one sort or another....just at a wild guess. (or perhaps you even accidentally installed some VR mod by mistake into the non VR game) PS> in the future, I'd recommend not installing groups of mods without the "due diligence" of vetting them prior to installing another, ie install only one at a time, with in-game checks afterward before moving on to the next desired installation.
  21. Coincidence Leo. I experience freezes too. Or are you sugessting that you're now experiencing freezes "after the 9th save" too? (not a serious or snarky question. I doubt you are). Because I've never read another post that says that, nor experienced it myself. and I save often, quite often in fact, sometimes 20 or 30 times during a session. (rhetorical question here. I really am done with the thread, I just figured I owed you a reply out of respect)
  22. Wadr Leonidas, More often than not, event viewer will show little of interest with regard to interior operations of Skyrim. I'm a little confused. Is that the 9th save during a single play session, or the 9th save after you start a new game? Possibly your graphics card is running hot, and coincidentally, it takes roughly 9 saves before it goes over the top and chokes. (I'm really reaching for that one, but video card overheating IS possible, especially in the summer IFF you don't happen to have air conditioning) In any case, crashing after a very specific number of saves is just plain weird. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone encountering that glitch before during the past 4-1/2 years I've been playing and avidly reading the skyrim forums (here and elsewhere) You install anything recently? If so, it may be interfering with your otherwise never had an issue game. (regardless of "no errors" during deployment, during fnis, or whether or not your save files are clean On that subject, please open your 8th save file (not 9th , 8th) using falrim tools re-saver. If you find that there are a large number of stacks and or frames, or you have large numbers of undefined elements or unattached instances, that could point to an/the issue. Ideally, post the results (in a spoiler tag. No one wants to have to navigate a wall of text) And for helping your helpers at nexus help you (ie anyone who wants to help you solve this): standard blather 1) load order (pasted to a spoiler tag) 2) crash log(s) (pasted to a spoiler tag) spoiler tag: see the icon in the editor controls that's green and white striped? Click it. Now scroll down in its dropdown selector until you find "spoiler" Choose "spoiler" Paste contents suggested above into that (each requested datum into its own spoiler tag) I'd also recommend that you try this: open the game open your 8th save (not 9th, 8th) go to a player home and get inside (ideally a small player home). if you have fireplaces or other automatons, turn em off if they have switches. stay there and stay inside. sleep, craft, idle. do that for two or three game days. Hell, do it for a week of game days. create a save file at the end of that from inside the player home. exit the game entirely run fallrim on that save. Anything amiss?
  23. Proteus Project perhaps? it won't adjust the enchanting action itself, but as "cleanup" it could be used for that purpose.
  24. FYI/FWIW, have you considered using the console command TM and then recording? When I take snapshots, I generally try to toggle onscreen content prior to doing so, to remove all the UI overlay clutter (text, compass, bullseye, etc) Afaik, there's no reason you can't do the same when recording video. (you just need to remember to use TM again once you're done to toggle them back on)
