This is not a mod request, but rather an ideas request. I've been working on a mercenary faction back in the days but I had to abandon it. I would like to get back to this project but totally swap the setting for Knights on the Nine-style order faction. This would include upgradeable HQ, extensive questline, recruitment of NPCs and high difficulty. So... what kind of lore or non-lore setting you would like this faction to be based on? Share your ideas! Is anyone interested in helping out with this project? PS. this is just an idea, no work has been made yet.

Hey, @laiilaiiheii do you know some medium size, non-free homes not located in Riverwood or Whiterun? Obtainable either by quest, combat or money and possibly upgradeable? I'm sick of getting a castle for free at level 1 ...

How do you make compass marker work? I have 4 or 5 aliases in my quest, yet only one works as a compass marker. It's especially annoying, since 2 of those aliases are similar (actors). Yet the CK decided the least useful marker (the quest giver) will work... I don't know, maybe I need to tick some more options in the aliases?

Make ALL your mods REQUIRE SKSE!

You know what would be better? If console players would sit down and make their own mods. Because all I see is constant screaming "we want mods! we want this PC exclusives! we want this, we want that!" I don't cry over some console exclusives like Gran Turismo or Uncharted. I get what I have. I'm not saying who's better. Consoles are just different form of entertainment. But it's time to understand their limitations. They can't have everything. If some modders are willing to share their mods for consoles - good for them. But you'll see that when the new Skyrim is out, they will whine about not being able to run all the mods. -
Go for it. People won't suddenly stop using Skyrim Legendary Edition. This "remake" is mostly for console players. Besides, not everyone will have PC strong enough to run new version of Skyrim & mods.

I don't think they would go this far. Modders are fixing their games for free. If they would introduce paid mods, noone would make the mods in the first place, for any of their future products. Which means, people are going to quickly lose interest in games like F4 and future TES as soon as all the DLCs are out. And that's usually a year or so. Or the Skyrim will be pirated because people don't like to be forced to do something.

First of, make sure you do everything correctly, or you'll be punished by numerous CTD and errors while playing Skyrim. Check out the STEP guide. Don't forget to pick unofficial patches and bug fixes mods from Nexus. As for mods, there are numerous ways to pick what you like. 1) Check out Brodual videos on YT, I'm using variety of mods he'd reviewed 2) Check Skyrim GEMS . Those mods are the best and many of them are considered "must-haves" 3) Go to Nexus, pick a category and choose "Most Endorsed". Usually you can find amazing mods on first few pages. But don't be afraid to experiment and select some lesser known mods! Just ask yourself a question: What I don't like about Skyrim and how can I improve it? And then search for a corresponding mod. For me, the must have mods are Realism mods, one big overhaul like Perkus Maximus, any magic mod that adds new spells, more monsters, etc. Generally, I'm a "more content is nice" guy and I don't care much for the graphics.- 3 replies

Oh, it's working fine. The problem was in the voice :) -
Perkus Maximus add Focus perks and I believe those add some powerful spells. IMO it's better and more fun than Ordinator but it's more heavy on resources. For even more variety, try Phenderix Magic, it works with Apocalypse. ASIS, so the enemies can use custom spells added by mods. Wintermyst enchantments, there's a patch for Perkus Maximus. Forgotten Magic is also fun, although I don't know if it works with Apo & Phenderix. Dragon Priest Armory, generally makes the Dragon Priests harder.

I am currently looking for voice actors to help with my follower mod. More details about the mod here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4489095-wipidea-interesting-followers/ This is rather large project and may take a while to complete but the progress is steady. Mod will require a decent amount of voice recording, including quest dialogue, standard follower dialogue, generic dialogue, combat dialogue and more. I don't require high-end audio setup but good recording quality would be nice. As for right now, I am searching for: - Female Argonian Hunter Voice (style: distrustful, introverted, wild) - Female Orc Hunter (Hireling - not much dialogue) - Female Nord Warrior Voice (style: brave, curious, warrior-type) - Male Imperial Noble Voice (style: young, hesitant, scared, likes to question much) - Male Dunmer Thief Voice (style: confident, sly, funny) - Male Orc Warrior Voice (style: rough, rude, low-pitched voice) - Male Bosmer Mage Voice - Female Breton Pilgrim/Healer Voice I have potential actors for voices marked with green but feel free to ask about those as well! PM me with some voice samples. PS. If you think you can design your own dialogue that will fit my followers, give me a shout too.

I would like to make a script that will spawn/teleport NPC to a specific location on quest stage. It's going to be related to reading a journal with location. I tried searching for something similar but all the topics are about teleporting NPC to player. What it should look like: - there's a place in the world which is empty (no enemies, npcs), in case player discovers it before quest is started - player read a journal and gets a location of this place. The script places npc in that location. Should I make a fake cell where the NPC will be stored or can I spawn it directly?

This seems like a big project. I've been thinking about doing something on a big scale but it's more original, rather than reimagining something already made on Skyrim engine. Thing is, I'm just a CK novie :) -

I have never made a follower so I can't really help. But some things that may help others help you... Are you testing your mod on a clean save? If not, that could be a problem. The game prefers to use the state of stuff in the save game as opposed to a newly modified source. Is your actor using a voice type that contains follower dialogue? If not, that may have an effect. If the actor doesn't use the correct voice type those dialog options won't be made available (as I understand it). The new game was made specifically to test the mod. Yeah, I think the problem lies in voice. But I have a question regarding this: - when I make a follower with default relationship set to, let's say, "Ally"(like in every tutorial), he normally has all the options, like "Follow me" etc. - but when I'm making someone with custom dialogue, should I record those follower lines as well? Can I use some custom recordings for some lines and for example 'MaleEvenToned' voice for the follower lines? Just to test if the script is working. -

Can I get some help with script? What I want: a script that will allow the npc I created to be my follower after certain point in dialogue. What I did: -made npc, added current/potential factions in faction tab, set the value of currentfollowerfaction to -1, added npc to the world - I wanted to use the script which allows you to get Faendal (or Sven or Mjoll; they're the same I think) as follower - made a dialogue, another script sets the stage of quest - added script to this stage: ;player gets Deriael as follower Alias_IFModDeriaelAlias1.GetActorRef().SetRelationshipRank(Game.GetPlayer(), 3) CompleteAllObjectives() Stop()- it compiles without errors - When I go to game, and select the dialogue option, nothing happens and I can't talk to that npc again What could be the problem? -

Updated: The very first screenshots are here. The look may change a little bit but I'm satisfied with this. Two more followers planned for inital release (total of 7), but they're more tricky to place in the world. Followers descriptions coming soon! -
