  1. Todd Howard has announced, that there will be an editor for Fallout 4. However, the release has been announced for early 2016.
  2. It seems your hardware is too weak to keep up with the game. Try the lowest possible resolution: 800x600
  3. Will look at it if i go home. It will take a while.
  4. Do you have a Laptop? See if that changes anything: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht078706
  5. You will be able to play it at 1080p and getting acceptable frame-rates (if your tweak your settings a bit.)
  6. Here is a giude. (cached) http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/fallout-4-graphics-performance-and-tweaking-guide Don't click on the green links at Guide Contents, because they don't work. (just read the whole article as it is. !!!)
  7. If you have a decent CPU (at least an i3 or similar AMD) you will play that game at 1080p (medium settings) - or try the settings below. Also keep in mind the GTX760 is much more powerful as the GTX 750Ti Article from Eurogamer.net
  8. Keep your *native monitor screen resolution (*your highest monitor resolution. So if your montor is a full HD monitor it's 1920x1080), and keep that resolution or lower it, through the in-game Fallout 4 options menu under Resolutions. That's all actually...
  9. I don't know about low fps, but this can happen if you play with more than 60 fps on Skyrim (on some monitors) Try to enable Vsync. (if your monitor is 60Hz) If you monitor works on higher refresh rates than that, try to change you monitors refresh rate to 60 (through your GPU control panel) or use a frame-rate limiter like MSI Afterburner.
  10. 1) It can be a disaster, if you for example break some pins on the motherboards CPU socket OR if you put more thermal compound on the CPU heat spreader. But if you take attention on some crucial steps to build your PC RIG, i don't thing there is something else you can break. The most common problem would be thatyour PC will not boot, or boot with beep errors from the BIOS. (that's another example) Your motherboards manual will help you a lot, for building a PC the right way. Also watching some YouTube videos would be a very good idea, for first time builders too. 2) Take a look here: http://winsupersite.com/windows-10/windows-10-upgrade-and-installation-frequently-asked-questions 3) If you want it as compact as possible, that's a nice case. However, larger cases with regular ATX motherboards are much more easier to build. !!!
  11. > Honestly, not getting a SSD to a modern PC is equal to shooting yourself in the leg with a shotgun. < Running games on an HDD some years ago, was not a BIG problem, so why is it now ??? If you have a fast RIG, with or without an SSD, the game should run fine... > When I fixed the software issues on my dads laptop that was running on a HDD < Having the same software problems running on an SSD, will not make the software run faster, only because the drive is an SSD. !!! ------- Having an SSD its' a good choice for many reasons, but not having one it's not a disaster...
  12. Maybe your Skyrim - Sounds.bsa are corrupt. Delete that file and verify your cache files through steam: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335 That's on a vanilla skyrim.
  13. Try this. Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ Delete ControlMap_Custom.txt. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\Interface\Controls\PC\ Delete controlmap.txt.
  14. First off check, if NexusClient.exe is running - hitting Ctrl+Alt+Delete (with your keyboard), starting Windows Task Manager, and under <Processes> tab terminate that file. !!! Uninstall NMM form the uninstaller, and when it asks you if you want to delete your config settings, say YES. Download the latest NMM version and install it...
  15. The i5-4690K is near the recommended requirements. I thing you should be able to play at 1080p if you tweak the options *menu settings a bit. *
  16. I don't know if that's what you are looking for: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37347/?
  17. Delete you old shortcut on your desktop. Go where your games executable is located (witcher.exe), right click create shortcut. Now you have a witcher - Shortcut file. Right click on that file, and go to Properties. On the <Shortcut> tab and <Edit> the Target line. Click with your mouse on the end of the target line, hit <space> with your keyboard and write this (after the dot "): -dontForceMinReqs So your target should look like this: "..\The Witcher\System\witcher.exe" -dontForceMinReqs Click Apply and OK. After your finished editing, move that shortcut to your desktop (rename it if you wanna), and your game should run now. !!!
  18. That's your processor then: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0083U94D8/?tag=pcp0f-21 If you go with that CPU, post your motherboards model, so we can see if that particular CPU is supported or if you need an BIOS update. Hi, I didn't know how to find out my motherboard model at the time, but after a bit of searching it is an ASUS P8B75-M LX, with an ivy bridge chipset. Go to your BIOS <Press Delete during the Power-On Self Test - AFTER YOU RESTART YOUR COMPUTER hit the delete button on your keyboard a couple of times to access your BIOS>, ...and at the main page you will find your BIOS version. If it has the number 0405 or any number higher than that, you will be fine. !!! See the picture for more infos: http://imgur.com/JgAumbe
  19. @Ironman5000 You could go with the configuration 4 as well. (if your budget is your concern) The AMD FX-4300 has a bit lower performance than the i3 in some games, and in other games the performance should be equal. So as a second choice you could just go with conf. 4.;)
  20. The only "negativ" factor if you don't have an SSD drive - is, you may have longer lasting loading screens (however that depends mostly from the game engine) ...but except that, you don't have any fps advantage over an regular rotational HDD. !!! (as fps are mostly GPU related - how fast a pixel is drawing on the screen, and has nothing to do with the HDD)
  21. That's your processor then: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0083U94D8/?tag=pcp0f-21 If you go with that CPU, post your motherboards model, so we can see if that particular CPU is supported or if you need an BIOS update.
  22. For what's worth, that's your GPU performance on some games. http://imgur.com/EcLaxgS
  23. PC conf. 1 + 2 -> Seems the same to me. (on die GPUs, worse game performer) PC conf. 3 -> This GPU is not 1080p gaming capable, considering today's gaming market. PC conf. 4 -> Decent GPU but weaker CPU compared to the i3-4170 and i3-4150 PC conf. *5 -> Decent CPU and GPU as well. PC conf. *6 -> Almost identical CPU performance with the (i3-4170) but way slower GPU. (GTX 960 > GTX 750Ti) Pc conf. 7 -> Identical CPU as the PC conf. 5 but slower GPU. (GTX 960 > GTX 950) *Also to mention all two processors (i3-4150 ans i3-4170) are dual core processors with hyper threading. (2 cores / 4 threads) The fastest PC configuration without a doubt is number 5: Zoostorm Gaming & Media Desktop PC
  24. The first number (for example the 7 in GTX 760) tells you the generation of the GPUs it belongs to, and it's an general performance indicator. The second number in the name (the 60 on the same GTX 760) indicates the performance level of the card. Actualy the higher the better. The “Ti” cards are a bit more powerful than the non-Ti cards with the same number. ------------- The GTX 970 has a low power consumption. (for what it offers) So even a good 460watt PSU should do the trick, but it always advisable to go one or two steps above that, to be sure that your PC works as intended in any kind of situations. A 650Watt PSU would be more than enough, for a system with an i7-3770 and an GTX 970. (even if you overclock your CPU and GPU) -------------- Some Good PSU brands would be: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 (750) (850) G2 series XFX XTR 750 Corsair HX 750i Corsair AX 760
