ENB light sources are too bright. Lights toggling glitch?
beebophuckleberry replied to EGGY66's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
The lights turning on/off in front of Alvors house is very common with too many light sources. I had it too. Several mods add light sources to Riverwood (JK's Skyrim, Lanterns of Skyrim, Medieval Lanterns, Tamriel Master Lights, ELFX Exteriors, etc). As someone said above, the engine is limited and light-flickering will happen if too many lights are in the area. So, if you've added mods that add light sources to Riverwood, then that's the cause of your issue. I notice you have two lanterns in front of Alvors house; one on the steps and one on the door. Only one of those lights is vanilla which means you most likely have one of the lantern mods. Over by the forge is more light sources, and across the street at the Riverwood Trader, the Inn, and Svens house are more exterior light sources. Point being, you have too many light sources on that small street. Using the Creation Kit you can open the mods that add lights to Riverwood. Delete some of the light sources till the flickering stops. Save then exit the CK. Deploy load order and save changes. ^^I've done this to adjust Alternate Start because that mod is notorious for flickering in the prison cell when looking at the Mara statue. Alternate Start has a couple of light sources within the prison cell and other light sources outside of the prison cell down the hall which are out of view. I deleted a few lights that were out of view and now the flickering stopped. Choose wisely though cause you don't want to delete light sources that destroy the lighting quality. Also, don't worry if you mess up because you can reinstall the mod you've edited and you'll be back to default. Might want to have a clean save or start a new game afterwards because I don't trust editing esp's mid game. JK's Skyrim has a 'No Lights' patch that should help too, but based off your picture I don't think you're using JK's??? Best of luck to you. -
I made a new profile and now FNIS acting strange
beebophuckleberry replied to dederara's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Did you uninstall FNIS PCEA2? Looks like you did but you missed the file you have to manually delete. That's what causes this warning... >>Warning: AnimationList found in "Animations\FNIS_PCEA2", but no corresponding Behavior file. Incomplete mod IGNORED.<< Here is info from the FNIS PCEA2 mod page; Uninstall as usual. Manually remove character/animations/FNIS_PCEA2. The remaining files don't hurt, but don't help either. Manually remove that folder or reinstall FNIS PCEA2. -
Skyrim Complete Checklist of Quest?
beebophuckleberry replied to beebophuckleberry's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Thanks all. I found it. It was called SkyComplete and it looks like the modder took it down. Some copies being shared online but I dunno about those... SkyComplete sounds like it was a useful tool... but oh well. -
Is there a way to assign specific blood to certain NPC's? For example; I want to make it so spell caster NPC's like necromancers have a different color blood than other NPC's. My goal is to use Candy Gore as the blood for spell casters. Link: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/38366 Can anyone point me in the right direction?

A mod popped up in the new section the other day that added a MCM menu displaying all completed and uncompleted quest. The mod may have been called Skyrim Complete... <----But, I could be wrong about the name. I can't find it. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
-
Hi all. I found some neat mods that come from other lores. For example; You can get a mod that turns the moon into the Death Star <----I thought that was a pretty cool idea. I found another that adds the 'one ring' from Lord of the Rings. With the ring you can turn invisible but it also slowly drains your life while you wear it. It even looks like you are in the wraith world while wearing it. Remember the bad guy from the movie Willow? You know, that evil knight that served the witch queen lady? His armor is here too! F yeah! Found another from the Evil Dead movies. You can install the Necronomicon! Lastly, I found the Sword of a Thousand Truths from the South Park episode about Warcraft. ^^ I love stuff like this! Anyone have suggestions on other mods from other universes? Thanks all :)

Mod Authors Deleting Comments
beebophuckleberry replied to beebophuckleberry's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
That's true about Steam. In fact, I remember a couple years ago the gaming news sites wrote about a developer because the game dev was making a scam cash grab. There were multiple news articles about it. Additionally, a former employee came out and stated that the developer never intended to release the game and they were only collecting pre-orders while continuously 'delaying' the release date. The news went on to add that there has been a significant uptick in the number of 'cash grab' scams on Steam. I visited the Steam page to see the game and I started tracking it to see what people were saying in the discussions. That developer deleted any and every post that mentioned the news articles about the game being a cash grab. <---point is, Steam devs can delete too. -- Back to Nexus... I believe 99% of the mod authors are good intentioned, but a few routinely delete comments that reveal bugs or stability issues with their mods. I have about 1000 mods and I know two mod authors that do hide comments. After discovering this I started tracking them in hopes of fixes. I never expected to witness comment after comment after comment being deleted. I agree with the person above who said it should be a moderators responsibility to decide whether comments should be removed. Afterall, there is a reporting feature for a reason. If a comment is ridiculous then people will report it. -- Someone else above mentioned the purpose of this post. Well, because when I was brand new to modding I immediately searched mods using the 'most downloaded' and 'all time' filters. I went on a downloading rampage. For every mod I read the descriptions, followed the instructions, and made a beautiful build. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, my game was full of bugs, lip sync issues, floating NPC's, etc. Through process of elimination I discovered which mod was causing it. Then, I went to the mod page to see if I missed any important information. No dice. I removed the mod, but I started tracking it and reading comments hoping someone would one day post a solution. At this point I started noticing comments were disappearing. I then looked the mod up on Google and found countless complaints and ridicule from Reddit and Steam discussions. The mod was also on the 'naughty list'. ^^Events like the above should never happen. It's one thing to have bugs... many mods do. But, it's another thing entirely to delete information that basically hurts users. We read the comments, descriptions, and articles so we can be aware of what we're doing and what to expect. But, if someone is hiding information then we are blind. I wasted a lot of time because one mod author decided to hide comments that reveal how buggy their mod is. I won't name that mod, but if I said the name right now I guarantee many of you would be like, "Oh, didn't know you were talking about that mod. Everyone knows that mod is broken". -- Lastly, I also agree with the person above who said don't be tribal. Tribalism is a dangerous trait... At the end of the day I don't expect things to change. I guess I was mostly interested to see what you all think. It's obvious there are mixed opinions and tribalism regarding this topic. Anyways, I appreciate those who responded with good intentions. Take care. P.S. ignore my grammar I'm too lazy to proofread right now :) -
How to remove xLODgen files?
beebophuckleberry replied to beebophuckleberry's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Algabar, those are the same steps I was following. I just forgot to assign a output folder which caused xLODGen to inject the files directly into the folder. I finally found which folder it was. They were put into textures/terrain. I removed them all and everything is back to normal. Next, I set a ouput folder and regenerated everything before turning the files into a archive and installing via Vortex. As a extra safety measure I reran DynDOLOD. Everything looks great now. Only problem now is my map still isn't showing roads even though the Quality World Map is loaded after the xLODGen files. For now I'm giving up and just going to install Perfect Terrain LOD because it works with the roads on the map; https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/39563 Thanks anyways :) -
Mod Authors Deleting Comments
beebophuckleberry replied to beebophuckleberry's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I donât suspect abuse. In fact, most comments Iâve seen removed happen to be stupid comments. Additionally, most mod authors donât delete any comets. Four example: engine fixes is an incredible mod and is very stable but they get stupid comets all the time and they donât remove them. But, overtime, I have seen a few mod pages where the author routinely removes negative posts and bugs that actually exist. I know they do this because I track the pages and I see the comments before they are deleted. In my opinion, this is nefarious behavior. Anyways, just thought Iâd ask because I saw a forum thread from a private mod author discussion about why they donât delete comments. They said they donât delete comments because not all authors can be trusted, but, this was back in 2012⦠Obviously things have changed. From my experience 99% of my daughters are fantastic. But there are a handful out there they have dirty mods and they hide negativity. P.S. ignore my grammar because Iâm using dictation on my phone. I already see that it said comets instead of comments. I also see that it says my daughters instead of mod authors. Lol -
I've seen mod authors delete comments. For example; Sometimes a user will comment on a mod about a bug, incompatibility, etc. I'll received the notification about the new comment. Most of the time those comments stay. But, there are some mod authors that delete these types of comments immediately. ^^Anything about this seem wrong to you guys? Dunno what you all think but I for one get a HUGE red flag when I see this. I tend to delete those mods because I no longer trust mod authors that behave like that because it's obvious they are trying to hide negative information about there mod. I'm very cautious before downloading a mod too. If the mod doesn't have a post or bug tab then I usually wont download it because it tells me the mod author is hiding comments and bugs. I've seen this several times now. However, when a authors has a post and bugs tab, but just deletes anything mentioning a issue, then you have no way of knowing if the mod is legit or not. I'm confident that many of the experienced users have encountered this by now. You know... when you see a mod you're interested in. You read the description page and the stickies. You browse through the comments to see what users are saying about the mod. You check the bugs tab. After you do all the responsible pre-requisites of downloading a mod for a large build you end up finding out that it's messed up with issues... but nobody knew that because the mod author has deleted all comments about problems. See what I mean? I notice in the past that deleting comments was not allowed. What changed?

Today I noticed my arrows were depleting. This shouldn't happen because I use Infinite Ammo: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32253 I reinstalled the mod and it still wasn't working. Next, I reinstalled the dependencies which are; DLL Plugin Loader; https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10546 Netscript Framework; https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/36077 After reinstalling those everything worked again. ^^Things like this happen every-so-often where I have to reinstall a mod to get it to work again. I've run windows diagnostics and everything is fine. I verified the SSE files and they were fine too. All plugins are clean. No wild edits. So... Why does it happen?
-
This doesn't happen unless you have a mod conflict. Disable your mods 1 by 1 (or small groups at a time if you have a huge build) and start the game till the wagon characters are normal. Once they are normal then you know that the last mod you disabled was the culprit. Check it in SSEEdit for conflicts and look for patches. Run LOOT to sort your load order. These last two sentences fix 99% of all issues. You can avoid issues at the start of the game by installing Alternate Start. Alternate Start gives you a chance to load all mods before starting the game which makes it easier on the engine because it's not trying to load mods while running the introduction scene. Link; https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/272 or Don't load mods till Riverwood because there are a lot of scripts running at the beginning of the game.

I've been using DynDOLOD for a long time and it works fine. I tried xLODgen today for terrain and all my trees disappeared. At this point I simply want to remove xLODgen and all it's files, but I can't find a output folder. DynDOLOD puts it's files in a output folder which I then install via Vortex. xLODgen appears to inject the files straight into your game folder... now I don't know which files need to be removed. Help?

I'm having a conflict between Floating Healthbars and moreHUD. It's causing the numerical values for health to not be visible. Magika and stamina are working normal. Only health is messed up. Help? I've never had to update SKSE because I haven't been around long enough. I'm currently on 2.0.17 but a new update for 2.0.18 is available now. Long story short, I've spent that last few months perfecting my build which has 800 mods. It's currently almost flawless. I'm terrified if I update then I might be forced to fix and tweak for the next few months... Any big wrinkly brains know what I should do? Should I skip the update? Or, does updating not affect other mods? Thank you :)

A mod was recently released that turns blood blue with stars. It looks neat; https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/38366 I want to make it so the starry blue blood only appears for magic using NPC's like Necromancers and Mages. Is this possible to do?

CBBE and Armor load order?
beebophuckleberry replied to beebophuckleberry's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Thanks Algabar. I finally made the overwrite decisions and so far everything looks fantastic. I checked many of the females first because their bodies were altered the most. The gals look great. No issues with males either. I think it's safe enough to start a new playthrough. Besides, if I notice something wrong later in the game I believe I can safely change the overwrite decisions without causing game breaking issues. Time will tell ;) Thanks again fellas! -
Add keyword via SSEEdit?
beebophuckleberry replied to beebophuckleberry's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Figured it out. Here are a couple of screenshots incase anyone else needs help doing this... First, select the cell that is under the mod you want to alter and is also across from the 'KWDA - Keywords' row and right click then select add. A new 'keyword' cell will be created; Next, double click the new keyword cell to open the dropdown menu. From here you can select the appropriate keyword you want to add; Hope this helps. Take care. -
I'm trying to add a keyword using SSEEdit. Here are two pics. The first is the correct keywords. The second shows the item I want to add a keyword to. How do I add a keyword? Correct keywords; https://i.imgur.com/a77X78H.png Red highlight showing where I want to add a keyword; https://i.imgur.com/mdj44Kk.png Thanks all :)
